I've been studying Japanese for 4 years and I wish these kind of video's already existed when I started studying, but as nobody had the idea to do this, I decided to do it xp Next month I'll start working on the JLPT N3 Grammar video. I personally think that the JLPT test may go through in some countries, but the chance is big that the test in July will get canceled everywhere, right now there's a list of all countries which already decided to cancel the test: www.jlpt.jp/e/topics/202004141586826111.html If the July test is cancelled, than the next test will be in December. Same for me, I am also takImg the JLPT exam tomorrow. Quite nervous as my grammar and reading are terrible 😅 Some tips I can give are: Arrive early, this way your stress will be mostly gone by the time the test begins. Take enough snacks and drinks for during the break times. Take more then 1 pencil just in case and a good eraser. Taking a bad eraser can loose you points if you can't erase your previous answer properly. And during the tests, just focus your attention on your paper and don't look to much at how fast others work. Lastly, you remember more then you allow your brain to remember, just stay calm and take your time. If you don't know the answer, then trust your brain to guide your habd to the mkst logical answer 😉 Good luck with your test tomorrow 😉

Iwant to share my moving experience soon, but after almost 4 months of living here, I still have things that need to be done before I can say I "fully moved" to Japan. Insurance is a big stumbleblock as they are very expensive in Japan. Luckily, when you get a job you mostly will get an insurance with it. But at this moment I can't have a job yet because of Corona :c Driver's license, changing your address in your home country, phone number, registering your new address in the city hall in Japan, the many emails and contact moments with the embassy, bank account, transferring money from your account to a Japanese one. Many banks in Belgium don't allow transfers outside Europe to happen, luckily I have my family helping me out with that. It really isn't an easy undertaking. When the time comes and you need help, let me know ;)

Using 突然 is a way of putting extra emphasis on the fact that you are suprised that that started to happen, in this case, there was no indicator that he would suddenly start running. You could also say: 彼は急に走り出した。 "きゅうに" basically indicates that it was still suddenly, but you kind of saw it coming. 突然: Puts emphasis on the being suprised aspect of something suddenly happening. 急に: Puts emphasis on how fast something suddenly happened. It's a complicated topic which we should have probably explained within the video, sorry about this, but I hope this helps. 😊
みたい Is something you would use at the end of a sentence. ように and ような are for using somewhere in the middle of the sentence. There needs to be a verb behind it and a noun or verb infront aswell. They are pretty similar and like many things in Japanese, it can be complicated. The position within a sentence is important.

But the fact remains, if you want any other Job than working as an English teacher, you will need to get N3 or N2 and chances are that the Japanese you will hear in bussiness conversations are actually from N3 and N2. But for casual learners I guess it's not that important. If all you want is being understood and understand the people, N4 is good enough, but many conversations will still be above your level with only N4, so learning words and grammar after that is a must.😅

best way to remember Japanese grammar is writing down and trying to use the grammar. There is not really an easy way to remember except for reviewing, using and reviewing.

Same for me, I am also takImg the JLPT exam tomorrow. Quite nervous as my grammar and reading are terrible 😅
Some tips I can give are: Arrive early, this way your stress will be mostly gone by the time the test begins. Take enough snacks and drinks for during the break times. Take more then 1 pencil just in case and a good eraser. Taking a bad eraser can loose you points if you can't erase your previous answer properly. And during the tests, just focus your attention on your paper and don't look to much at how fast others work. Lastly, you remember more then you allow your brain to remember, just stay calm and take your time. If you don't know the answer, then trust your brain to guide your habd to the mkst logical answer 😉

Iwant to share my moving experience soon, but after almost 4 months of living here, I still have things that need to be done before I can say I "fully moved" to Japan. Insurance is a big stumbleblock as they are very expensive in Japan. Luckily, when you get a job you mostly will get an insurance with it. But at this moment I can't have a job yet because of Corona :c Driver's license, changing your address in your home country, phone number, registering your new address in the city hall in Japan, the many emails and contact moments with the embassy, bank account, transferring money from your account to a Japanese one. Many banks in Belgium don't allow transfers outside Europe to happen, luckily I have my family helping me out with that. It really isn't an easy undertaking. When the time comes and you need help, let me know ;)

So why use 突然？
Using 突然 is a way of putting extra emphasis on the fact that you are suprised that that started to happen, in this case, there was no indicator that he would suddenly start running.
You could also say:
彼は急に走り出した。
"きゅうに" basically indicates that it was still suddenly, but you kind of saw it coming.
突然: Puts emphasis on the being suprised aspect of something suddenly happening.
急に: Puts emphasis on how fast something suddenly happened.
It's a complicated topic which we should have probably explained within the video, sorry about this, but I hope this helps. 😊

what is the difference between みたい and ように/ような?
みたい Is something you would use at the end of a sentence. ように and ような are for using somewhere in the middle of the sentence. There needs to be a verb behind it and a noun or verb infront aswell.
They are pretty similar and like many things in Japanese, it can be complicated. The position within a sentence is important.

Tbh it doesn't make much sense to use N3(or higher words) for example sentences. Doesn't mind if you use サヨウナラ but these words are a bit higher level.
But the fact remains, if you want any other Job than working as an English teacher, you will need to get N3 or N2 and chances are that the Japanese you will hear in bussiness conversations are actually from N3 and N2. But for casual learners I guess it's not that important.
If all you want is being understood and understand the people, N4 is good enough, but many conversations will still be above your level with only N4, so learning words and grammar after that is a must.😅

N4 is quite reasonable. Don't forget that you also need to know the N5 stuff as those things are asked as well.

best way to remember Japanese grammar is writing down and trying to use the grammar. There is not really an easy way to remember except for reviewing, using and reviewing.
