What critics? And why did you listen to them anyway? If I am interested in a movie, I go and watch it regardless of what critics say: sometimes they are right, sometimes they are not. Always remember that a critic is just another person with an opinion who needs to actually find issues in order to get\maintain whatever authority he\she might have. Sometimes, they just make them up. The most ridiculous thing is that the majority of movie critics have never been on a set and only have a very vague idea about how motion pictures are made, yet they are authorized to talk about every aspect of a flick, including very specialistic fields that would require years of study & practice to fully comprehend.

I think JDW is a nepotism baby. He doesn't have a brilliant Talent like his father does. Let's keep it real, if he wasn't Denzel Washington's son, he definitely would not be getting leading roles in major films. There are plenty of actors in Hollywood with much better acting chops then JDW.
@@breebartkowiakovaDisagree. All you have to do is watch his movie with Zendaya "Malcolm & Marie" to know that he's good. BTW Christopher Nolan approached HIM with TENET so are you saying that was because of nepo?
This film is an original classic, up there with Bladerunner, 2001, The Thing, Aliens, Matrix etc. Great cinema. Tragically undersold, meanwhile the major studios sink fortunes trying to keep the Marvel and DC universes up and running.
Greig Fraser is totally killing it. Dune Part 2 and The Creator on the same year!! I've always admired his partnership with Gareth since Rogue One. Still the most beautifully shot Star Wars film to date in my opinion.
Ever since I saw the first trailer last year, I wanted to watch it. It did not play in cinemas in my country, which is a shame as its one of the best movies of the last few years. Still managed to watch it twice and will grab the bluray asap to rewatch again and again.
The biggest problem with this sci-fi is that :- 1. It is already inspired by so many great films and released in time of SAG-AFTRA strike period. 2. They use the "dream on" song only in trailers but not in The movie credits. The song is like a glue to it. This literally made all the fans upset including me. 😢😢😢
Wonderful CGI to hide that under that cake frosting is a rather tired theme, yt people are bad, and all other cultures are good. Instead of being a warning about the dangers of AI, the only real evil shown is that yts are the enemy of all. I thought perhaps this is a Chinese production which is why it is so pro-asian and anti yt-american, but its not its produced by Rogue One (where again the yt Americans were the bad guys). Such casual racism is truly frightening.
That was my thought as hard as they tried to make the Americans the bad guy's... And doing so they actually made me more patriotic towards wanting to kill robots lol obviously I'm oversimplifying it but at the same time I enjoyed the movie I thought it was fun but they did a terrible job trying to convince you that humans are thw bad guys regurgitating human sympathies on AI

This is how CGI was supposed to look like in every major studios movies for the last decade. How Edwards managed to accomplish such beautiful vfx with only 20 mil budget is speaking volumes.
Edwards started as a visual effects/sfx/vfx/ etc. guy before he started taking film classes. Also have you seen his earlier movie 'Monster', less than 12 people made that movie including the 2 main actors, and only Edwards and 2 other techs add in the visual effects in just 3 weeks time during post.
From the director of rogue one and 2014's Godzilla. Perfect timing this to be the first trailer from a Disney studio to come out 24 hours after the actors union goes on strike. I probably won't have time to see this (busy schedule) in theaters but I did love Gareth Edward's take on Godzilla and Star Wars.
also 'Monsters' - 2010 Fun fact: given Edward's visual effects background, it was just him and two other techs to add in the sfx/vfx into the movie within just 3 weeks time.
I remember watching this. I went on to the theatre website looking for a good movie to watch and then this was the only one that looked decent, so i booked a ticket. I am SO HAPPY that I did that. This was absolutely AMAZING . P.S if you haven't watched it yet, IT'S NOT TOO LATE

@@totallymojo Why is this movie not original enough for some of you? It's not based on any graphic novel or comic book or pre-existing IP. It's obvious the director and writers must have been greatly inspired and influenced by the current discourse and debate on AI and came up with this but most of the best movies of all time, even the Godfather are inspired by real life incidents and discussions. Doesn't seem like a rehash or mimicry of other Sci fi movies especially if this movie is asking us to have empathy and treat AI just like we should treat the rest of humanity and give them a fair chance to hear them out and co-exist instead of just driving the agenda that they are the villains and giving them NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT whatsoever!

@@breebartkowiakovaagree
@@breebartkowiakovaDisagree. All you have to do is watch his movie with Zendaya "Malcolm & Marie" to know that he's good. BTW Christopher Nolan approached HIM with TENET so are you saying that was because of nepo?
I love futuristic sci-fi movies that has good cinematography. Need more original sci-fi like Elysium. Would def watch this in theaters
I was about to say that the cinematography of this one totally looks like something Neill Blomkamp or Joseph Kosinski would do.
Как же так можно?? Почему не все фильмы такие качественные и чувствительны?? Просто браво!!!!
Hans Zimmer is also scoring this. So they got BOTH the cinematographer and composer from the Dune movies.
@@nikitamohan3390I thought Michael Giacchino was scoring this movie
@@deadn00b1 well i read reports it's Zimmer
This is just another movie where people of color save the world from white people - an ideological agenda and brainwashing.
This reminds me so much of Neill Blomkamp! I'm all here for it :)
Saw the movie. Awesome. Hero/Villain story, but with a few twists that made the movie unique. Also, everything about the film was well polished.
The Rogue One and Alita feels were all over this movie. It was awesome!
I don’t know man this looks so good, teaser trailer already gave me chills and this made sure I’ll definitely watch it in theaters
Right... 👍
Nice try bot
@@BoxxyFannice try bro 😂
Ever since I saw the first trailer last year, I wanted to watch it. It did not play in cinemas in my country, which is a shame as its one of the best movies of the last few years. Still managed to watch it twice and will grab the bluray asap to rewatch again and again.
The biggest problem with this sci-fi is that :-
1. It is already inspired by so many great films and released in time of SAG-AFTRA strike period.
2. They use the "dream on" song only in trailers but not in The movie credits.
The song is like a glue to it.
This literally made all the fans upset including me. 😢😢😢
This looks incredible, I just got goosebumps for the first time in a long time when it comes to cinema. It looks stunning.

Same, but that's just the music getting your goosebumps.
I had Star Wars vibes right from the start and then I see... "from the director of Rogue One". 🤣
At least it's the more grounded approach to star wars
Also the DP is the DP from rogue one
Just watched it, tears running down my eyes. Rarely movies like this are made and the designs were so refreshing!
🤣🤣🤣
never have I jumped of my seat of joy and cried so many times while watching a movie, truly a masterpiece.
Honestly at this point, Gareth Edwards will draw me to any movie. This looks incredible, I will definitely be seeing this in cinemas.
I watched it tonight and it was absolutely beautiful and even profound at times. I really hope it does well so more originals like this will be made.
Im glad to hear thar, im gonna watch it today
I know right, saw it recently and thought, finally a fresh take on AI and robots.
@@llmannen4146yep i just came back.from watching this......totally worth it......the movie felt different then all the ai and the machines one i have seen before

reviews seem to be mixed on this film but it was pretty emotionally gripping to me, plot holes aside.
Fantastic Trailer for a fantastic and underrated film. Great original sci-fi with great storytelling, emotional and performances especially from the kid and John David Washington. Hope more original films like this get made in the future.
What really made this trailer stand out was the story. Plus the imagery looks fantastic. I’ve seen Rogue One only once, but the story was well written. “The Creator” seems to follow in the footsteps of “Rogue One” but with its own twist. I’m excited for this!
They're... completely different films. What are you saying here?
@@RobTFilmsI’m trying to say the imagery in this film is similar to “Rogue One.” I didn’t mean to confuse you.
How does the story that has been explored in movies and series a million time ''stand out''?
Most generic AI/robots bad story ever is a stand out? HA

Disney is making this movie. So yeah... Nothing new is what you will see.
As a aspiring filmmaker, I’ve rarely been as hyped as I am for this film. The whole thing was shot on a FX3! Looks insane!
What fx3 is
Yeah I’m curious what an FX3 is too lol
FX3 is the only exciting thing about this and I don't even know what that is!
@@ResoundGuy Sony FX3. It's consumer semi-pro camera, affordable even for enthusiasts. And looks like that it's ok even for large productions.
Also it's just pooves that the camera is not the main thing for the movie, but the lenses, lighting, set production, vfx and the crew.
@@Deltaaaaaaaaa Sony FX3 camera. It's a cheaper albeiet very good camera used by every day film makers. Seeing it on a huge film like this proves that it's not the camera that makes good movies.
Je pense que les amateurs de science-fiction et d'action apprécieront de le regarder. Un superbe travail avec des effets époustouflants, merci Century Studios.
This movie dazzled me and ripped my heart out at the same time. I'm a lifelong Syfy fan, but this was so much more. It was a truly good film. I'm not one to cry but was fighting back tears.

Waiting for my Corridor crew fans to inform people about the stock footage from the Beirut explosion
An original sci-fi concept with good cgi, solid actors and a good budget? Amazing…watch it flop and then people will complain again about there being no original films anymore
Lmao
True
Doubt it will flip there is too many WOKE movies 🍿 people are desperate for a non political movie. It will do great
Dude that plays "Joshua" is Denzel Washington's son. Out of all his adult kids(all actors), John David Washington is as good as Denzel, his pops. He was 🔥 as the lead actor in Spike Lee's film, BlacKkkKansman
So he's a nepo baby then
This movie will make you wonder your humanity. It grasps to your core. This movie I would say is an absolute masterpiece.
This is how CGI was supposed to look like in every major studios movies for the last decade. How Edwards managed to accomplish such beautiful vfx with only 20 mil budget is speaking volumes.
I mean the budget was about 86 million, but yes still pretty impressive compared to recent high budget movies *cough* the flash *cough*
Ilm get them and you will see the magic unfold also pretty impressive with this budget and how good it looks truly shows quality vfx studios
@@JWProductions9 Yes, you are right. My bad! 🤦🏾♂️👍🏾
From the director of rogue one and 2014's Godzilla.
Perfect timing this to be the first trailer from a Disney studio to come out 24 hours after the actors union goes on strike. I probably won't have time to see this (busy schedule) in theaters but I did love Gareth Edward's take on Godzilla and Star Wars.
also 'Monsters' - 2010
Fun fact: given Edward's visual effects background, it was just him and two other techs to add in the sfx/vfx into the movie within just 3 weeks time.
It was amazing and heartwarming. One of the best sci-fi films of all time after ET. It definitely should have been nominated for Best Picture at the 2024 Oscars and Madeleine Yuna Voyles should have been nominated for Best Actress because she was emotional, cute and amazing.
Came here to see the composited Beirut Explosion footage they included at 0:23

0:24 they used the footage from beirut explosion, that was low of them, other than that looks cool

this movie was amazing I watched it in the theaters when no one was in it at middle at the night it was amazing !!!
eek thoughts everybody on the scene at 0:24 being actual footage from the Beirut explosion in 2020? They built the shot out using CGI of course but the shot came from somebody filming the explosion...
Just so everyone knows at 0:25 they used real footage of the 2020 Beirut explosion, of course some buildings were added and some were modified. Search it up to see a side by side comparison.
This movie is so freaking good I can't believe they never made a good terminator movie with this kind of quality they dropped the ball on that franchise.

This movie could have been so much better with a better editor. For that I have to give it 6.5/10
I saw this film tonight and absolutely loved it. It feels like a film like The Arrival where it's sci-fi but it feels and looks realistic. It definitely borrows tropes from films like Blade Runner and Avatar . Highly recommend.

I'm definitely gonna go and see The Creator. I saw the first teaser trailer for the film advertised when I went to see Mission Impossible 7 Part 1 and it completely blew my mind. We need more original mainstream blockbuster films like this and not just Sequels, Prequels, Spin offs, Remakes, Reboots or Superhero films.

@@solidgaming1103 point is they rely on a sequel/prequel/spinoff/remake/reboot riding off the name of something way better that came before. They're not inherently bad but most of the time they get lazy when they know ppl will watch just cuz it reminds them of the thing before.
It depicts the future of Japan, which has become a very realistic Southeast Asia.

Let's hope everyone else is so that we can keep getting more of this.
"A completely original movie.."
It's literally just Terminator: The last of us edition.
I don't think people are using the word "original" correctly.
I think they mean it's not a remake or sequel/prequel.
