Quick correction: You do not need to mod the vWii in order to inject and play Gamecube and Wii games. As long as you already have a modded wii u then your fine. Didn't mod my vwii on my wii u until a week ago but have been injecting gcn and wii games onto my wii u for a while
@@therealmarioplumber7440 I found out that a Wii U console only can be cheaper than a Wii. As long as you have a gamepad to set it up and install CFW. You can also set it up to boot directly into the vWii as well. Maybe I'll make a video on this in the future.

I have commented on other youtube videos from other creators, and joined different discords, and no one can help meee. I injected a bunch of wii games and gamecube games. Wii games work fine. Gamecube games DID work fine, i opened all of them and they worked. The next day, the gamecube games stopped working. All of them. Black screen. Wii games still work, so it can't be the usb. I didn't update anything. I've deleted all the gamecube games and re-downloaded. Same issue. Black screen. Anyone got any tips or ran into this issue?
I'm running into an issue where it fails on the install and tells me to ensure that the WUP files are correct and verified. I've tried installing it to both USB and NAND and it keeps failing.
Can you hit the Wii U home button while playing a GC game? Can you leave the game through the home menu or do you have to press a specific Nintendont button combination? And can you add controllers or change the controller order while you’re playing the GC game? And is it possible for example to have the Gamepad as Player 1 and 3 Wii U pro controllers as player 2, 3 and 4?
@@dingweed This happened to me with simpsons hit & run. I had to remove the special character "&" and replace it with "and", then it loaded. So make sure there are no special character in the title name when you are creating the injection build.

The one showed in this video (Rhythm Heaven) should work for pretty much every single game. My guess is that you got a bad rom, so try looking around for a better one. Thanks for the kind words!

I had to. Factory reset my wii and delete it i bricked it once trying to play wii backups on the vwii itself but i cant get luigis mansion to load at all and all i did to my vwii was inject homebrew channel
@@Xemns The WiiU VC of NES, SNES and N64 have dark filters on them which makes the games much darker and makes the colours pop out less. Its for epilepsy reason
@@AZBCDE That makes sense. For the most part they don't bother me, but I know they can ruin the image quality a bit. Not sure how you can remove them for anything that isn't N64.

I know this is old, but if you set up a 2 disc game inject on the program the game switches discs automatically and almost instantly when a game asks for the second disc
Is there anyway during injecting or another way to add banners to the game when playing in 4x3 format on your wide-screen tv. Would be nice to have banners while playing instead of black bars on the sides. Asking cause my modded legends ultimate has this feature in coinopsx.
By banners I'm assuming you mean picture all around. The answer is yes, you can change the option in Nintendont configuration. I PERSONALLY do not like 16 by 9 for GameCube games.

The GameCube injects are all basically Nintendont. Then it loads the backup from the inject. You need Nintendont to run this and have to set it up properly. You can use a GamePad or a Pro Controller. Hope it works out for you!

Make sure that games with special characters do not have any or WUP installer might fail to install them properly. 3. Make sure that you are installing to a USB first and then the system memory. 4. Not sure if you can use a USB drive for both Wii U and vWii things. I think I remember seeing a tutorial for it years ago, but I don't think it's possible due to the encryption of the drive. You can use the GamePad using the GameCube and Wii injections
@@Xemns The other games I've injected are fine. LEGO Star Wars 2 is the only one that's like that. The iso I have works every time through Nintendont but the injection only works half the time. I've been trying all kinds of stuff but nothing works
You can use a pro controller or the GameCube adaptor with the controller. But yes if you keep the option you can play with the gamepad. Hope this helps!
In other words, this program only allows you to install games that are already available for purchase in the Nintendo store (they were). I thought I could install any type of GameCube game. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I’m having trouble figuring out how to configure the video settings, pretendo on the vwii doesn’t acknowledge the games, and the settings don’t save otherwise, anything I can do?
A couple questions: 1. How do we adjust the settings after it’s injected? Loading the Nintendont app doesn’t show my games because they are injected and installed to a USB drive so it seems I have to rebuild them and re-install if I want to change the settings, but this leads me to my next question: 2. How the heck do we get save games from the injected GameCube titles? The SaveMii app doesn’t seem them :(
1. Launch Nintendont from the Homebrew Channel in vWii mode. 2. The saves are located on a folder on your SD card /saves. They are saved in a .raw format. You can convert them using a program called Dolphin.
@@Xemns Unfortunately I can't change the Nintendont settings this way because the games are injected and installed on an external USB that's formatted via the WiiU as external storage (per the hack instructions) so they don't show up in Nintendont when loaded because Nintendont can't read the external drive when I click on it in the app. With that said, I figured out I can change the settings in the Tecomoon injector app on the PC by loading the ISO file of the specific game into it, then clicking on the Nintendont options and changing them, then clicking regenerate nintendont config file, and voila, it works when I reload the game on the WiiU. What I'm trying to figure out now is how to get the game to be 4x3 but fill the screen top to bottom, without stretching it. Gamecube games load up in the center of my 4k tv and are letterboxed on all sides. People online are saying that Nintendont has a bug where it can't present the gamecube games correctly, you either have it stretched a little bit or smaller on the screen, and then use your tv zoom feature to fix it. Unfortunately my tv when it zooms in, it loses v-sync on the gamecube game and I get tearing in the image. Very weird!
Are you turning the gamepad on? That might be causing the issue. If not, try resyncing everything and using a wired pro controller. The Wiimote is not supported.
I have 3 issues with this application. 1. I installed Gex 64 AND Gex 3, but I cannot save my game because of there's no controller pack. 2. GoldenEye 007 is a graphical mess, and is genuinely unplayable. It made my Wii U crash TWICE. I tried using a different website to install the 007 rom, but that didn't work either. Edit: Glover doesn't work either. The game is just stuck on a black screen. How do I fix these problems? Is there a specific setting for this to be fixed?

Hi Xemnas, if you inject Gamecube games through this method and get into the game, by pressing the Home button will it "pause" your game and create a suspend point, and would you be able to create create and load suspend points with ZR, or will it close your game and take you back to the Wii U home menu?
Once the WUP folder for a particular game has been installed to a USB storage device using WUP Installer GX2 does that game folder need to remain on the SD Card or can it be deleted to save space. My SD card is only 32gb.
Before i try this (updated version of this obviously) does this only work with the virtual console GameCube games, or ALL of them. Legit just trying to figure out how to get all the sonic the hedgehog GameCube releases on this thing.
@@rrwholloway3 doesn't work probably because you are using a rom from another region, so try using a pal base and a pal iso if your console is european or NTSC if your console is american

You can save them on your SD card, but unfortunately this method doesn't allow to run them off your SD card. For that you want the Nintendont forwarder on your Wii U menu.
Approximately how long should it take to copy the injected game? This is my first time doing something like this and I'm not sure if I've done anything wrong as it has been copying for a few hours with nothing changing. I'm a bit stumped. I have the game on the Wii U menu but whenever I launch it, I get taken into Nintendont with the error message "No FAT device found" despite having my usb flash drive and sd card formatted to fat32. any suggestions?
@@Xemns Yeah both of those are as they should be. I think it's coming down to the SD card or USB flash drive I'm using because anytime I insert the usb drive, it has to format on the wii u but then that will undo the fat32 format I did on my pc

@@MewTooie I am using this program, which switches out the ISO for the game I injected and runs off the USB OR your system memory. The SD card is where the saves are stored since there is no other place for them to go. Sorry if that is a little confusing.
Xemnas, do you know how to inject via USB Helper? I have managed to do this, but it seems, that USB Helper didnt make emulated memory card. So I cant save my game. And its strange - I havent seen this option(make emulated mem card) in settings of USB Helper.

What controller are you trying to use? You simply need to sync the controller and make sure it is player 1 and it should work. You also need to decline using a Wii U gamepad.
Hey xenmas so i started playing one of my games and suddenly the button config switched. I thought it was bc i changed the button config by accident but then the same thing started happening to my other gc games right after and they all follow the same button config change (my abxy buttons all switched to the next button so it’s xaby now, and my L and R buttons switched places)

Hey there! Have you tried updating your program? Also, I would like to point out that issues with folders appearing usually has to do with special characters, so make sure to remove those!
Not working for me each time and run games there are black screen in first work without gamepad then doesnt work with gamepar or without still black screen
Have you tried using it plugged into your Wii remote? From what I know, you can't. You need another Wii U Pro Controller or GameCube one with the adaptor.

I get about halfway through the inject and get an error that injection failed and there's an issue with my nkit...
Try a different iso file.

there have some problem here. Instead of opening the game. I got a error code called 160-2793.i have no idea what's going on😢
Might be an issue with your external drive.
There is no memory card in slot A. I can't save how ?
Follow through ALL of the steps in the guide and make sure memory card emulation is ON in your Nintendont config file.
Ive injected a few games with teconmoon and a few keep freezing, have you had any issues with that as well?

Can you control the games using the gamepad or do you need a wiimote?
You can use a pro controller or the GameCube adaptor with the controller. But yes if you keep the option you can play with the gamepad. Hope this helps!

They should work correctly. GameCube games are confirmed working so try going through the guide again and make sure you have all required files.

A couple questions:
1. How do we adjust the settings after it’s injected? Loading the Nintendont app doesn’t show my games because they are injected and installed to a USB drive so it seems I have to rebuild them and re-install if I want to change the settings, but this leads me to my next question:
2. How the heck do we get save games from the injected GameCube titles? The SaveMii app doesn’t seem them :(
1. Launch Nintendont from the Homebrew Channel in vWii mode.
2. The saves are located on a folder on your SD card /saves. They are saved in a .raw format. You can convert them using a program called Dolphin.
@@Xemns Unfortunately I can't change the Nintendont settings this way because the games are injected and installed on an external USB that's formatted via the WiiU as external storage (per the hack instructions) so they don't show up in Nintendont when loaded because Nintendont can't read the external drive when I click on it in the app.
With that said, I figured out I can change the settings in the Tecomoon injector app on the PC by loading the ISO file of the specific game into it, then clicking on the Nintendont options and changing them, then clicking regenerate nintendont config file, and voila, it works when I reload the game on the WiiU.
What I'm trying to figure out now is how to get the game to be 4x3 but fill the screen top to bottom, without stretching it. Gamecube games load up in the center of my 4k tv and are letterboxed on all sides. People online are saying that Nintendont has a bug where it can't present the gamecube games correctly, you either have it stretched a little bit or smaller on the screen, and then use your tv zoom feature to fix it. Unfortunately my tv when it zooms in, it loses v-sync on the gamecube game and I get tearing in the image. Very weird!

There aren't enough buttons to do that so I don't think it's possible. You can also use a Wii Pro Controller

Are you turning the gamepad on? That might be causing the issue.
If not, try resyncing everything and using a wired pro controller. The Wiimote is not supported.

I don't think so. Sorry about that.
Why might it stop downlaoding the base at like 80%? It just stops for some reason. The program freezes.
Try exiting the program and trying it again.

I have 3 issues with this application.
1. I installed Gex 64 AND Gex 3, but I cannot save my game because of there's no controller pack.
2. GoldenEye 007 is a graphical mess, and is genuinely unplayable. It made my Wii U crash TWICE. I tried using a different website to install the 007 rom, but that didn't work either.
Edit: Glover doesn't work either. The game is just stuck on a black screen.
How do I fix these problems? Is there a specific setting for this to be fixed?

i found the problem, its because of corupt raw saves file. i deleted the file and problem solved.

Hi Xemnas, if you inject Gamecube games through this method and get into the game, by pressing the Home button will it "pause" your game and create a suspend point, and would you be able to create create and load suspend points with ZR, or will it close your game and take you back to the Wii U home menu?
It will close your game. Unfortunately I don't think Nintendont supports save states or anything of that nature

Once the WUP folder for a particular game has been installed to a USB storage device using WUP Installer GX2 does that game folder need to remain on the SD Card or can it be deleted to save space. My SD card is only 32gb.

@@rrwholloway3 doesn't work probably because you are using a rom from another region, so try using a pal base and a pal iso if your console is european or NTSC if your console is american

You can save them on your SD card, but unfortunately this method doesn't allow to run them off your SD card. For that you want the Nintendont forwarder on your Wii U menu.
Approximately how long should it take to copy the injected game? This is my first time doing something like this and I'm not sure if I've done anything wrong as it has been copying for a few hours with nothing changing.
I followed the guide word for word while trying to inject Pokemon Colosseum onto my Wii U

No. It is separate and will be saved to your SD card.

Never heard of this issue. Are you sure you have Nintendont installed correctly AND the config file?
@@Xemns Yeah both of those are as they should be. I think it's coming down to the SD card or USB flash drive I'm using because anytime I insert the usb drive, it has to format on the wii u but then that will undo the fat32 format I did on my pc

@@MewTooie I am using this program, which switches out the ISO for the game I injected and runs off the USB OR your system memory. The SD card is where the saves are stored since there is no other place for them to go. Sorry if that is a little confusing.
If you are using a USB drive, it must be specially formatted with your Wii U.
Xemnas, do you know how to inject via USB Helper? I have managed to do this, but it seems, that USB Helper didnt make emulated memory card. So I cant save my game. And its strange - I havent seen this option(make emulated mem card) in settings of USB Helper.
I really can't help you with that since I have never used it. I don't recommend using discontinued software.

What controller are you trying to use? You simply need to sync the controller and make sure it is player 1 and it should work. You also need to decline using a Wii U gamepad.

Yup! You need the Wii U Gamecube adaptor attached to your Wii U and the controller should work.

Hey xenmas so i started playing one of my games and suddenly the button config switched. I thought it was bc i changed the button config by accident but then the same thing started happening to my other gc games right after and they all follow the same button config change (my abxy buttons all switched to the next button so it’s xaby now, and my L and R buttons switched places)
That happens sometimes if you click many at once. The best thing to do is to save and reload the game.
This is a feature from Nintendont: press - (minus/select) to switch the button mapping
I don't use that programm for Gamecube injections, but it's god know it works like the other one that i use
There are other ones that exist such as TeconMoon's injector. I started out using that one.

No you do not need it, but I do recommend keeping all of your backups in one spot if you have the storage to.

Hey there! Have you tried updating your program? Also, I would like to point out that issues with folders appearing usually has to do with special characters, so make sure to remove those!

Have you tried using it plugged into your Wii remote? From what I know, you can't. You need another Wii U Pro Controller or GameCube one with the adaptor.
