Talbot Express. Full Review. Warts and All.

Well it's been in the planning for a while. So here it is a Tour of Herb our old Talbot Express Rambler GL Motorhome. Possibly up for sale soon. Engine is a non turbo 2.5litre Diesel Engine with lots of torque but only 75Hp.

My old Talbot has done rightly over the past five years of ownership too, they are hard to beat for the money. I keep the single bed up most of the time as I don't really sit down but like to sit back and kick my feet up 👍

The insect and screens that go up and down are all original the wooden ones I made from ply wood that fit drivers, passenger and rear doors. Curtains Jane made from a metallic backed star pattern picnic blanket. Cheers from old George and Jane

Hi. Can you tell me. Is it expensive to insure an old campervan and how much is the road tax???

Hi Lorna. We sold the Talbot 2 years ago. I cannot tell you the exact insurance cost as we are pensioners and it depends on age and if its a second vehicle. However insurance was the same as our Fiat Doblo Car around £300. But it depends on mileage you plan to do. Ours was UK only and no more than 6k miles a year. Look up the Talbot Owners Forum TOC on Internet full of info. Cheers from old George
