This is one of my favorite interpretations. I like that it’s rather slow and no over-embellishment. Accents all of my favorite parts. Sometimes virtuoso players go insane with ornaments, but lose the song, but she hasn’t.

@Evan Hodge I have to suggest that you are slightly off beam there ! Your comment is common in the current department, " classical " music, being played from a score, faithfully, no improvisation accepted. Interpretation, not improvisation. Miles' bag was not that, as you well know, and so the comment would hardly apply to Capricho Arabe. I'm sure Miles was like Picasso, in that he would have chopped his hands off if he could have played Capricho on a guitar ! Anyway, Miles meant " Ignore what's written, play yourself ................................................ " . P.S. I know I'm right because she just finished playing as I finished writing - perfect !
She is really bringing out the beauty and poetry out of this song. She played it amazingly and beautifully.
I think this is the best performance of Capricho árabe that I've ever heard. Awesome, truly awesome.
Finally, someone that doesn't rush it. This song is meant to be languid and flowing. Everyone plays it too darn fast. Thank you for this. My favorite interpretation.

As many have said before me, it's a beautiful performance, phenomenal execution, with a splendid venue as the backdrop, and top-notch videography and sound recording. Slower than the usual recordings, but possibly more intoxicating for that reason. ¡BRAVO, Isabel Martínez! ¡Estoy enamorado!

Non ci si può non innamorare di questa musica sognante, eseguita in modo ineccepibile tecnicamente ma anche con sentimento. L’arte vera e completa, non è mai soltanto grande capacità tecnica, ma deve essere sapientemente miscelata interiormente alla passione e alla delicatezza d’animo. Chi non possiede innatamente questi elementi distintivi, potrà essere solo un bravo esecutore ma non un’artista completo nel vero senso della parola. La chitarrista Isabel Martìnez, è un’artista con la “A” maiuscola, che ha reso onore al meraviglioso brano musicale “Capriccio Arabo”, scritto del grande compositore Francisco Tàrrega. Giù il cappello, oppure stappatevi i capelli … perché non sapete suonarlo in questo modo … ;-)

Have to watch and listen to this every once in a while... Back then, it was because I was trying to practice guitar. But the guitar would notlet me learn. Haha. But now, even when I'm not that much i to guitar, I still revisit this one.. the emotional content is just so penetrating when she plays it. 👍

Wonderful performance and video, amazingly beautiful. As a solo electric guitar player ( and a medical doctor ), now at the age of 69, I wonder how so delicate female hands can overcome the hardness of nylon strings, mostly on chords and arpeggios, without any badly sounded note. And I have also seen this same achievement in other present-day very young new female classical guitarists. I'm really amazed. Congratulations !

Este capricho árabe está interpretado con la lentitud que requiere apreciar los aromas de las plantas, el perfume y color de las flores, el juego de luces y sombras, escuchar el murmullo del agua de las fuentes, acariciar los pétalos y las hojas, y saborear las frutas de este jardín del Edén, compendio de los placeres del paraíso árabe.
Lo que no se aprecia es el compás, y sin ese hilo conductor la obra pierde su sentido.
Música llena de historia, amor y pasión. ¡Me encanta!
