I think where these folks were born is not random or accidental, but politics played an important role and really the point of this mission. This should have been crewed by younger people where this work could have informed and better prepared them for future endeavors. Of course having the ability to pay for this was also a key factor. These missions should be for real scientists. What are they going to do that is important, nothing.
The filthy rich should build a hotel in LEO for retired rich people and their backers.

Türk Tayyare Cemiyeti’nin Kuruluşu
Mustafa Kemal, havacılığın hızla gelişeceğini sezinlemiş, ilgilileri bu konuda uyarmıştır. Türk havacılığının gelişmesini, güçlendirilmesini sağlamak amacıyla zaman geçirilmeden gerekli girişimler başlatılır. Cumhuriyet’imizin 1. yılında, Ankara’da Türk Tayyare Cemiyeti kurularak (16 Şubat 1925) yurt düzeyinde hizmete başlar.
Kurum, oldukça kısa bir sürede, çetin ve erdemli çalışmaları sonucunda gelişerek yurt düzeyinde takdir, sevgi ve güven kazanır; varlığını topluma benimsetir.
Atatürk, havacılık ile ilgili görüşlerini şöyle açıklar: “İstikbal göklerdedir. Göklerini koruyamayan uluslar, yarınlarından asla emin olamazlar”. Atatürk’ün bu kesin hükmü, gerçeğin ta kendisidir. Bu yıllarda havacılık yeni doğmuş, gelişme dönemini yaşamaktadır. Atom parçalanmamış, hidrojen bombası hayal bile edilmemiştir. Ay ya da gezegenlere gidişin düşüncesi de yoktur. Ancak, uygarlığın akış yönü, bilim ve teknolojinin hızlı temposu, ulusları geleceklerini göklerde aramaya zorlamaktadır. Hüner, bu gelişmeyi o günlerde sezinleyerek görebilmekti. İşte Atatürk, ulusuna bu uyarısı ile geleceği açıklamaktaydı.
Atatürk, 8 Haziran 1926’da Bursa’da, Öğretmenler Birliği’nin toplantısındaki konuşmalarında da havacılık konusuna değinir: “Türk ulusunun, hava kuvvetlerimizin güçlendirilmesi gereğini anlayıp değerli yardımlarda bulunması, siyasî uygarlığa erişmesinin en büyük kanıtıdır.Bu alanda ulusa yol gösteren Türk Tayyare Cemiyeti’nin çalışmalarını takdir ederim. Cemiyet’in sabit ve muayyen gelir bulması için yurdumuzun çeşitli yerlerinde yapmış olduğu toplantıların yararlı bir şekilde sonuçlanması için, yurttaşların gayret göstereceklerinden eminim”. Atatürk konuşmasını noktalamadan önce Kuruluş’a, en önemli görevini de şu sözleriyle verir: “... Havacılığın toplum içinde tanıtılıp sevdirilmesinde, aynı zamanda gençliği heveslendirip istekli hale gelmesinde Cemiyet’in çalışması önemlidir.”

72 degrees Fahrenheit, they regulate it pretty heavily. At least in the main part of the station.

Weightlessness looks so crazy. It’s gotta feel really cool, but has to get weird feeling after some time. They look like they’re trying to stay compact so as not to flail around to snag anything. The new crew looked like babies being born coming through the entrance. Then trying to cope with their new world.
Andreas Mogensen, commander of the station, looks so cool, calm, collected while seemingly spreading good vibes around him. I hope he wont be to affected by the long stay, so they have to carry him off, like the Russians, when they had long term been in space.
Maybe I just do not like needless use of resources but is it really necessary to bring "space pins" to space just for them to bring them down with them again? Could they not get the pins when they land and save the weight, however minor that weight is?
At least we have something to work together on; as people of the world.
Why not a close up shot of the approach? Lost of video feed?? Hmmmm🤔
That is a really good question you can see a huge camera, there is probably multiple, viewing the full frontal overhead docking, why do we not get to see this? Considering we are paying for this we should get to see it ALL not just some.

Why does it take them so long(90mins) to complete a full orbit of earth considering they're travelling at 17,500 mph, They're not exactly going slow. Concorde only took 3.5 hrs to fly from the UK to the US, And that only flew at just over 1000mph...

Unfortunately spacewalk is not a part of the mission. That would be a great experience for the team. Well, have you spacesuits over there in the station?
They don't. Each suit for open space created for specific astronaut. Theoretically others can wear it, but mission control will never allow it.

Well, those are just space tourists. So, it sounds like a science fiction movie, however the ones in the statiton should have those suits for emergency. In this case who's gonna go outside and repair somethings? They may face the issues that they cannot wait a team to come from the Earth.
@@videt_scit_dicit regular crew on board have those. They occasionally do space walks to repair or install new equipment. In case of serious emergencies however the standard procedure for a crew is to get into spaceships docked to ISS and wait for instructions from mission control.
