The bonet holder is just like my grandfather car so nice to see ancient technology in a 2021 car.
That was fun to watch. Thin line between missing important camera shots which many people dont realise. But you captured everything well.

Why did they stop the hydraulic system on the bonnet lid? 😥 that was really convenient on the G7
manually having to put up that stick to hold the bonnet makes it feel so cheap :)
Cost cutting, this is one of the multiple things VW has done to cut costs compared to the Golf 7
Probably because less and less people actually ever look under the bonnet, so that's why they stopped spending money on gas struds

Just picked up a Mk8 Style.
After trying for some time to get the NAV to display on the Virtual Cockpit, I gave up and called the dealer...
Turns out, my model doesn't allow for this feature! Absolute madness as the hardware is clearly capable of it.
I'm massively disappointed in VW.
My previous cars, (Golf Mk7.5, A1, Q3, Leon) all allowed for this!
Had I known, I genuinely would not have gotten the Golf!

Ich hab den gleichen seit gestern in Mondsteingrau, er ist Mega und wirklich sparsam.
Gibt nur 2 Dinge, die ich anders machen würde.
Den Schlüssel würde ich gummiert besser finden und die Leiste für Lautstärke und Temperatur müsste im Facelift Beleuchtung bekommen.

This is almost identical to my car which I've had since September, although I've added a Sunroof. I've had every MK of Golf since Mk5 including a MK7 R-line. This MK 8 R-line blows all previous versions out of the water. The MK8 is better in every way.

@@dalyer123 I've had a Mk 5, 6 & two Mk 7's including R-lines and this is definitely a better Car all round. Love to know what you think is worse. Mk8 is a better drive and better quality.
