btw you can change it to specific ranges.. If you can only attack within 30 yards then you can turn it to that. For example if you change the command to /run SetCVar("nameplateMaxDistance", 30) then the nameplates show up when you are able to attack them instead of at 41 yards**(the unit the game calls yards)
An extra tip, if you go from exalted with Aldor to Scryers or vice versa you still get to use the flying paths of the enemy faction, but as soon as you land you get attacked so be carefull :D
Anyone with a 70 warlock has probably realized that when you liftoff on a flying mount, your pet will reappear with full health/mana when you dismount. Occasionally you will get a soul shard from doing this too. Not sure if it's a bug, but its extremely useful if you have Dark Pact or the Felguard
I was on vacation when TBC launched and had my toon parked in an inn thinking I would earn rested exp. When I returned I fully expected full rested exp, but had zero. I was able to confirm this on all of my 60's.
what he said about switching to the opposite faction (aldor scryer) it doesnt cost as nearly as much as he said when you pick a faction you become hated with the opposite one but its at the top of hated so just one hand in will get you to hostile so really its 6000 rep to get to neutral then an extra 3000 to get to friendly
Can confirm the login tip i was leveling my mage and after 3 days i thought i should use the rested xp on my worrier soo i logdin to it to see no rested xp soo i left it for a other 2 days and when i logdin aginei found it have half f alevel of rested xp
a great tip for alchemists looking to get transmute master: you can get either potion or elixir master first (which have much cheaper mats to complete the quest for) and then drop that mastery by paying 150g to the same person you learned it from. This will allow you to learn any other alchemy mastery for FREE, meaning you won't have to get 4 primal mights to complete transmute master (which are going for about 300g each on my server rn). It'll save you a lot of gold, and let you get a head start on your primal might collecting/selling if you need them

Switching Scryers to Aldor is actually much easier than the other way around because the spiders will be mass farmed for their webs. You should be able to find hundreds of venom sacks for cheap.
You can still Ghetto hearth by the way. I'll explain for anyone who doesn't know what this means. You can use your hearthstone even while it is on cooldown by entering an instance, joining a party and leaving the PARTY. This will cause you to be teleported to where your Hearthstone is set, even if it's on cooldown. Very useful for a Hearthstone set in Shattrath, for a fast way back from Orgrimmar in Ragefire Chasm, or The Stockades in Stormwind.
There are BOE world drops for some recipes, most are behind the reputation, and the others are "discovered" randomly by crafting any TBC Alchemy patterns. You'll see a big notice in orange text in your general chat pane saying DISCOVERY *Character name has found"x" recipe!* Happy hunting! :)
i logged in a 60 alt of mine for the first time today. they have zero rested EXP compared to other alts that i have logged in which are approaching nearly 1 level of rested EXP.
Stonard portal doesn't really seem that useful ( unless you're going through the dark portal ofc), you can grab the zepp to gromgol or use the boat to get to booty bay...
It's a fast way to get to Kara as well also u gotta remember on pvp realms running threw ashenvale to get to stonard or Kara is pretty much asking to get killed
Just a warning. Setting a cvar won't do any of that but someone could potentially give you a malicious script that mailed them gold or deleted your gear, etc. There are a bunch of cvars you can edit for scrolling combat text, etc.
I use an addon called "Advanced Interface Options" that exposes all of those hidden settings. You can simply open the addon in interface/addons, select AdvancedInterfaceOptions (at top) and expand it, choose CVar Browser and scroll to the setting you want to change i.e. nameplateMaxDistance and set the value you want. On the main setting tab at the top you can force the settings to load at startup if you have trouble with them sticking... (The CVar Browser is quite nice and shows in RED things that have been changed from their default)
The person in shat that teleports you to Caverns of Time was added in later TBC. Thats why it was removed, and you also needed to have revered rep already to be able to use the port from Shat.
For Nameplate Distance, you can actually choose any value you want, it doesn't have to be 20 or 41. It probably has 41 as a max, but I personally like to set the nameplate distance equal to my longest range spell/ability. /script SetCVar("nameplateMaxDistance", 35) btw, this is the command you want ^^^^
I dont believe the "log on to start rest XP is real" theres a known glitch in the game right now that some characters dont gain rested XP. I believe that is the only situation, and makes people think you have to log, but I have tested it on my alts and some have rested xp without log, and some do not

Abuse may have a bad connotation but I read it to mean "make heavy use of" like abusing your truck when you go out 4x4ing. I live in Peru and speak English and Spanish so see things a bit differently speaking 2 languages. I notice that the video creator has an accent as well so probably does not speak English as a first language, although he speaks very well. Connotations in language are personal and regional on how they are used and understood such as slang terms. Here if you tell someone in English to F*** Off, no big deal but if you tell them you are stupid (yes calling yourself stupid) it is borderline offensive.

Anyone that's played this game knows for certain you have to log in to get rested xp after an expansion. It's obviously a VERY good thing new people are playing, but I still find it funny l.
There is not really many chat addons. But download leatrix, thats the one hes using, it show class color, links, time and such. And no speciel setup or anything.
Just tested it on my 60 horde mage alt i hadnt played yet and he had 0 rested xp

Yes you have to log into each character for them to start earning rested exp. This is still the same for retail when new expansions come out

Don't use "Auto Accept Quest Mods", after Intro Quest in Shathrath. For me, it picked auto Aldor, because it was on the top. ;)

There's a lfg addon that filters keywords to a chat box so you can see the dungeons you're looking for.

3:20 I just logged on my lock which was 60 I have not login on him inlike 2 months and nope he had no Rested xp.

It seems like different clients use different quotation marks for commands.
Nova world buffs addon was blocking macro for me. Once I disabled it everything worked.

2:58 it triples the EXP not doubbles it goes 200% extras not 100%
100% exp gain = normal exp
