Thank you very much - scarily competent! Be assured you are catalytic in the creativity of others via your course - it was terrific and now my friends are watching it too. So, thank you again Joe.
I made a sign on canvas this week. Then began to brush on some Decoart Gloss and........ well I bet Joseph knows exactly what happened. Lol boom! Smear city. Wiped it off with a paper towel and it was gone. Searched glazing posca markers and hear I am. Watched your whole series. Learned alot. Even about what I could use photoshop for
Aren't most of those masking fluids just liquid latex? When we use this in nail art, we pull it off while the paint is still wet. Less chipping edges that way. Thank you for making this series! :)
Hey, I really want to paint a longboard... the longboard comes blank and prob has a clear coat on it. these posca paint pens look like a good way to do the logos and things that i want. how would i prepare the surface? sand a bit and just paint of the sanded clear coat... preferably i would like to leave some areas of the board paintless so you can still see the wood. I've already sketched it out and stuff..THANKS
Hey buddy its me again..So my plan is to have my goalie mask remain white, but add red graphics using red posca paint pen. Since the mask is naturally white, do I have to paint the whole mask in a white primer or something before drawing in the red? Thx man!
Yes, These pens are used at a lot of car dealerships for writing the prices on. Also seen them used for window art. The paint though isnt permeant and can be removed.
What is the paint's dry time? I've tried painting on plywood and then after a few hours tried to put varnish on top (with a brush) and it washed away the paint.. How long should you wait before applying the varnish?
When i try to use them on paper they just tear up the paper and make fibres rub off and stick to the tip. Is this just what happens with paper, or am i doing it wrong?

thanks for taking the time to teach!
Fab videos - thanks so much! Question please- why wouldn't you paint the background first and then draw & paint the shark on top with posca pens?
i learned a bunch from you. thank you so much. im just starting but this is great
Loved this!

No havent done that yet but If you put a media fix on it sure it will stay. I think there might be one for fabric. They do make fabric paintpens too.
Thank you for these videos, they really helped me!
yes! The masking fluid is originally design for the use of water colors, but so far its work for all things.
great work!! just one question...where do you buy the liquid glue?
Yup, you got it! Sand the clear down and paint away! Use some krylon or acrylic varnish to protect the art.

thats a really helpful video! would it work on shoes?
also, can i use regular water color or acrilic color on the masking fluid?
Thanks for watching! =D
You can just sand the finish down some and paint right on it. Then spray some clear on it.
appreciate the clarification !
how do you do it on surf/ skateboards? i was thinking of doing it on my penny but it has like valleys and rises in it so?

They make a special NIB brush to het the edges
These pens work pretty much on all surfaces.
how about glass ? (just asking to be sure)
When i try to use them on paper they just tear up the paper and make fibres rub off and stick to the tip.
Is this just what happens with paper, or am i doing it wrong?
I want to echo previous comments, very helpful and inspiring. Only negative is the background music is a little too loud and distracting for me.
acrylic paint over water based color?? wouldn't it ruin the color, get cracks of some sort, isn't it better with water based sealer??
does anyone know if the masking fluid will hold up against spray paint?
Yes it will work with Krylon spray paint. I haven't tried it with other brands though.
Damnn Joseph you'd really oughta consider becoming a art teacher 👨🏫 😂
What's with the loud house? Damn
What a waste of time
Hope you feel better.
