Friends, I'm a complete layman when it comes to installing roms on smartphones. I have a Oneplus 5t and until today I didn't have the courage to update it for fear of damaging it. I've never done anything, not even unlock the bootloader, which by the way I don't even know what it is. Can I get a step-by-step guide on how to make my dream come true to update my phone to Android 12?

Errores de la ROM: el Night sight no funciona y detiene la camara, pero es algo menor porque todas las demás funciones andan perfectas. ( Seguro se solucionará con futuras actualizaciones ). En mi caso las 2 ranuras SIM funcionan con datos pero leí en los comentarios que hay casos que no. Por si se preguntan las aplicaciones bancarias funcionan perfectamente también. Found some bugs while using the ROM 1. Night Sight not work 2. Unable to login into bank applications as the verification messages are not getting sent. Popup - "Can't send message with airtel, error 0" Please let me know if anyone knows the solution for the above issues also will add any issues if found
Mayur, disable VoLTE and you should be able to send and receive SMS. For Nightsight that is broken in Nikita GCam. Hopefully they should fix that in next one
A suggestion when you're showing custom ROMs: Make the video as if it is a full review of a new phone that just came out. Custom ROMs always change a lot of features of the OG phone and it needs to be checked once. The new OnePlus phones are more into the camera also, it would've been better if you could've reviewed it. You should also talk about the apps that have been replaced from the original ROM.
what ROM do you recommend if i want something new on my Oneplus 5T and its stable? i know custom ROMs had problems with low camera quality (compared to stock official oxygen os) (oneplus dont give source codes)and google pay last time i try some new ROM. is that still problem in 2022?

@@PrasanaVenkatRamesh Hi Prasanna, dirty flash is when you flash a new rom / update to the rom without clearing or deleting the partitions like cache, dalvik cache, system etc. This is NEVER recommended as it can cause unexpected bugs and issues. A clean flash is always recommended. Also if you are on the latest Oxygen OS 10.0.1 build you need not flash the firmware. I have also installed PE 12 rom without flashing a firmware as I was running OOS 10.0.1

I just don't get a thing after pressing home button why don't this device get app closing animation like gestures. Other brands provide same app closing animation in their official builds but not this. Even in custom rom it doesn't have that app closing animation.

I kept contacting them for help through channel chat, forum, customer care and they just ignoring, delaying my complaint on activating my insurance plan. Other than that OnePlus isn't OnePlus anymore after Oppo merging event. I really hope they remove their Never Settle slogan A$AP. Because it doesn't deserve now IMO...
In OnePlus 5 insurance, I received documentations for buying their insurance plan and their service was unbelievably awesome. I was able to replace my whole back pannel for just only 750/- around labour charge only. But in OnePlus 9 Pro the only thing they did is just they e-mailed and messaged me there insurance code to redeem through their OnePlus Care app which never worked and I kept sweating for their help for around 2 to 3 week as I told already. I literally cried at this event & sweared to never ever buy OnePlus product anymore.

@prem Chopra It is not necessary to install orange fox recovery only. You can even install TWRP as I installed the ROM using TWRP recovery and steps to install TWRP recovery is also given in bio

after installing TWRP just take a full back up. later you can restore anytime. make sure to keep back up copy TWRP folder in a seperate USB drive or harddisk
Hi, all is right, however, once you install this custom ROM you'll have some issues, your microphone and fingerprint won't work. So, think about it before installing this ROM. I am right now facing with this issues and I don't find a solution, probably I'll have to install another different ROM or even come back to my old SO.
Hi does GSM LTE SIM card work with the new stable build of PE12? Because I tried before but the beta build the SIM not working properly and keep on disconnecting me and losing network connection. I'm using ee SIM in UK and need to know before I flash my device and this is my daily driver. Also I did a benchmark on the oxygen os 10.1 and got single score of 388 and multi score of 1690 which is way better performance then on pixel experience 12 lmao.

@@sopu205 yes. After first boot, I was able to receive calls but wasn't able to call from my side, but when I rebooted my device it fixed the issue for me 😊 I am using this rom since the first day and it is working smooth without any problem.
@@marcusnilsson7284 I just installed on my 5T earlier today, double tap to wake works fine but double tap to sleep option is missing, batter seems good so far, dash charging works, My Jio Sim card on Sim slot one worked better than ever I git 75 Mbps speed in speed test, volte calling works fine with Jio. on Sim slot 2 I had Voda Idea and only calling and sms work on sim 2. no data for sim 2.

Shubham, if you mean issue of VoLTE not working with Jio sim, the solution is to reboot device continuosly for 8-10 times. VoLTE will start working. This is the fix. Confirmation received by many other PE 12 users in the official telegram group and ofcourse tried myself. Works like a charm

Yeah, my jio sim isn't working properly. I'm not able to make calls and send messages though I'm receiving the calls and messages and internet is working too. Then I'd tried Airtel it worked perfectly. BTW my device is OnePlus 5t.

Dirty flash is not recommended to anyone as it is known to cause unwanted bugs and issues.
So go for clean flash always, no matter what.

Just reflash the Stock OS same as Pixel Experience. Simple

Bro! Can you tell how can I rollback to oxygen OS 10.0.1
Simply flash the stock rom in the same way as you flash custom rom.
I did this rollback today due to the jio sim issue.
Just flash it on OnePlus 5t all working only display panel celebration is missing on this build...

@@marcusnilsson7284 I just installed on my 5T earlier today, double tap to wake works fine but double tap to sleep option is missing, batter seems good so far, dash charging works, My Jio Sim card on Sim slot one worked better than ever I git 75 Mbps speed in speed test, volte calling works fine with Jio. on Sim slot 2 I had Voda Idea and only calling and sms work on sim 2. no data for sim 2.

Shubham, if you mean issue of VoLTE not working with Jio sim, the solution is to reboot device continuosly for 8-10 times. VoLTE will start working.
This is the fix. Confirmation received by many other PE 12 users in the official telegram group and ofcourse tried myself. Works like a charm

No face unlock and yes you'll have to install latest OOS

Yeah, my jio sim isn't working properly. I'm not able to make calls and send messages though I'm receiving the calls and messages and internet is working too.
Then I'd tried Airtel it worked perfectly.
BTW my device is OnePlus 5t.

Does face unlock work, also did you flash the rom from Oxygen os or a custom rom?? If custom rom is it important to flash the firmware or its ok to do a direct flash of the rom. Pls advise
Vishal, sim 2 only call works. Data will not work at the moment. That is a known issue as mentioned in the changelog. Will be fixed in future build
