- 7 minutes of why Frontier's Planet Zoo Cobra engine is FAR better than Planet Coaster's. This video highlights comparisons between some game mechanics and game play between Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo.
It's a pretty atmospheric, relatively slow-ish paced video. If ya manage to make it to the end tho, leave a like!! Maybe comment other things I could compare in a possible future video too.

This isn't a comment on what's a "better game." I personally enjoy Planet Coaster far more than Planet Zoo for a multitude of reasons. But there's absolutely no denying how gorgeous Frontier managed to make Planet Zoo, and it needed to be acknowledged.
there is two completely different atmospheres when comparing a zoo to a theme park
@@MiLiTiaAn This isn't about the park types, it's about details in a video game. The years between Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo's releases allowed Frontier to refine and introduce new features that the engine running Planet Coaster could not pull off! One of which includes the ability to properly rain in Planet Zoo!

I enjoy planet Zoo more
I love both games, but I think Planet zoo was able to polish both the graphics and the business side of gameplay, so I think planet zoo keeps me hooked for much longer. Also, in planet coaster it’s hard to keep playing if you have hit a wall creatively and can’t think of anything, but planet zoo you can keep playing for hours and don’t necessarily have to design anything.

I think with the last bit with not having to design anything is in part with what the games are. Planet zoo is well...A zoo game. Zoos have animals. And animals are alive and you can watch the animals in planet zoo for hours. Well at least I can. I can watch them grow. Build their families and breed. Watch them perish of old age. Etc. The animals add a lot more satisfaction with what you build at least for me. Because you can watch them navigate their environment. With planet coaster they have well..Rides and coasters. They aren’t alive. And yes you can watch the people ride but it’s a set motion. It’s the same thing over and over.
I have a feeling in the next 3-5 years they will combine the two
And then make a Planet Aquarium And Planet Water Park, Then combine all 4
Honestly what is point of planet coaster if you can get planet zoo
And use the transport rides as coasters

My only gripe I had with plannet coaster, is that u tried to build several parks where I used up the entire space given, but I had used up the maximum amount of buildings to put down. So I wasn't able to finish my parks because of a limitation that didn't make much sense to me. Otherwise I loved them game a lot.
I personally think planet zoo is better due to me not being that great at building roller coasters when I was playing planet coaster I got really bored but when playing planet zoo I loved it so much more (just my opinion)
I love planet zoo too, it's just so incredible seeing the animals move around and interacting with eachover

The only thing that I hate in Planet Coaster is the fps drops and delays it really hurts the beauty of the game itself.

frontier is becoming one of my favorite devs recently. joining nintendo, valve, doublefine, supergiant, rare, and behemoth.
Planet Zoo has better graphics in term of night and day cycle and weather but Planet Coaster's theme hits harder and is more nostalgic.
So interesting to watch:P My pc can't barely run Planet coaster from 2015, so I would skip Planet Zoo with my actual PC lol

Like unlimited money? It's in the sandbox modes of the game, which can be selected in either game's main menus.

One time i bought an elderly cheetah in franchise Planet Zoo, the poor thing died two seconds after going into my zoo in front of a massive crowd by the glass in which i became broke afterwards and it got shut down

Planet Zoo is more polished, especially the simulation part, but I like roller coasters more.

Planet Zoo is better
From what I see I would enjoy Planet Zoo. It is less agressive and honestly a zoo full of beautiful animals is way more appealing to me than an amusent park. I m freaking scared of amusement parks except Disneyland, the Wizarding World and the Asterix park.

Boo Frontier! You did a great job for RCT 3, what happened?!? RCT 3 even had more ride options in addition to the water and zoo expansions. Plus the balloon popping.

@@PinkAnxmal you soon will get used to the "stunning imagery" and the game to it's core isn't really that fun. So planet coaster is a better game, even tho it doesn't beat planet zoo's imagery. Well at least that's my thought.
@@sibidkid123 6 months since I commented that and still haven’t changed my mind. I’ve played both games and, personally, planet zoo’s gameplay has been much more fun. I guess for the general majority (gameplay wise) planet coaster is a bit more enjoyable, however, as an artist and aspiring zoologist, planet zoo is almost the perfect game for me!
