I am having the same problem, it's only happened twice so far. When driving at high speed the instrument cluster started flickering lights ESC, BRAKE, AIR BAG, TRACTION CONTROL, the gages dropped off, then jumped back to normal the engine temperature disappeared and the vehicle seemed to have a change in acceleration it became sluggish, check engine light come on. I plugged in to find the DTC code, and the Diagnostic tool could not read the vehicle and would not display any trouble codes. It will not communicate with scan tool. Vehicle seems to be in limp mode. It is a 2.0 turbo sonata 2012 I can't find out whats wrong with it but air conditioner does not work, blinkers are fast pace intermitten, vehicle has no power definitely not jumpy turbo like when I first got it and I can't figure out why check engine light is on. Nothing will communicate... i do not have blind spot or park assist but could it be broken wire like as in this video, that would solve problem?
@@quickautomotivediagnostics8728 The only problem I run into is, I don't have r all the fancy tools to do what you mentioned. I only have OBD reader which is not working because my vehicle will not communicate with the scan tool. I feel like I know how to diagnose and fix the problem but then I don't even know where to start looking all I know is the engine light is on, and the acceleration is lacking greatly. It's frustrating because I just paid last payment on car and now own it but I have a whole host of issues that need attention I paid $17,000 for the car at 2 years old. It's had an engine replacement under recall but has never run the same after engine replacement I love the car but I'm getting to the point of tiresome in dealing with the issues....mostly the air conditioner not working and I live in a hot climate area and it's miserable but can't afford to get rid of it and get a new car 😢
@@jamesabarelahow is it going friend? I am in similar situation 2013 optima hybrid. Stuck in limp mode so 12v won’t charge and spent over $5000 at dealer and shops but they don’t actually diagnose the issue! Driving me crazy because I know it’s just a wire. Changed HPCU, HSG, 12v etc… still get codes U0298 lost communication with dc inverter
@@PivotGrowthSo I discovered that the problem lies within the CANBUS, Mine. Is located at the top of the radio but mounted up under the dash but above the radio of that makes sense. Just take the radio out and look up. There is a communication box not sure if it's actually the CANBUS module but it was the wires on the back of that, that had become lose and disconnected. Which does make sense because I was messing with the stereo I had a nice aftermarket android touch screen but there was some sort of electrical problem because it would cut in and out so I decided to just check it and put the original stereo back in and I must have bumped or hit the wires lose thank god cuz it was driving me insane with no air condition in the summer in Las Vegas
@@jamesabarela you’re the man! Thank you. My issue is also can bus communication within the AC. This makes a lot of sense and my photo sensor in the front of the dash isn’t getting any Volts to it either
Very useful video, thank you

Check the communication waveform if it’s a module messing up the can network or if you have a broken wire . Your case can me different than mine.
