    Does that cell camera work with sprint

    • @iHuntTV
      @iHuntTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ronald sorry for that late reply. I didn’t see your question. The Reveal and Reveal X are available on the AT&T and Verizon networks. It doesn’t matter what your personal cell phone service is. For example I run Verzon cameras because thy have best coverage in my hunting area, but my personal phone service is TMobile/Sprint. You access your account via yhe Reveal app which works any smart phone.

      herd 360

      Like Dan Plowinske said Herd 360 or Whitetails of America (Donnie Yates) usually has some.
      You can go to the Reveal website and select the Reveal X and click "find a dealer" to see if anyone around you is carrying them Find a Dealer

    So do you have to pay $5 bucks a month to use camera even if you don’t have it in cellular service area? If not please explain.

    • @iHuntTV
      @iHuntTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you do not activate the service it will function as a standard cell cam at no additional cost …you will have to go pull the cards like any other traditiknal trail cam. It begs the question “why buy a cell cam?” Unless maybe you’re short on cash now but you plan toactivate it latter.
      An active cell cam that sends photos allows you monitor your area without frequent intrusion and remore change you settings and monitor battery and camera function.

      @@iHuntTV So how do you set the date and time on the camera? How can you tell if you have enough cell service to use the camera without paying the fee? The way the cameras setup program works you must pay the fees to do both of these steps. You can correct me if I am wrong. I would have kept it if I could have set the date and times. Then I could of used it in the future at other locations. I also tried to contact support but it took a week for a reply and so I just took it back and got a regular camera.

      @@buckrockerm Good question...I'm checking with my sources to get correct information for you. You can generally go to Verizon or AT&T websites to check general coverage areas to see if you have good basic coverage...However, keep in mind signal can be affected by placement of the camera on a property (example: hilltop vs. deep valley).

      Okay Buck, this is what I've learned. I've been told that the Reveal Generation 1 camera does allow for a manually setting on the camera. The Reveal X, the new SK and XB cameras (at the present) require activation of the camera to set the date and time, but once you activate (which you'll have to pay the activation fee) you can suspend the service and it should hold that date/time to function as a traditional non-cell trail camera. I would imagine that to maintain correct date/time in Spring and Fall time changes you would have reactivate the camera so it can connect to grab the correct date/time from the cell towers. I've been suggested to them about possibly adding a firmware update to those camera models to allow for manual date/time setting. But regardless if the clock is correct they will all take pictures and video like any other camera. Hope this helps you.

      @@iHuntTV Thanks for your efforts. I returned the camera because of the deliberate short comings of the camera’s programing. I would of kept it if they would not have decided to program it this way.

    Do they work as a standard trail cam if cell service is poor?

    • @iHuntTV

      Yes. They will still take pictures and video.

    So does sensitivity work like the lower means less sensitive where it is 1-9 meaning that 9 is the most sensitive

    • @iHuntTV
      @iHuntTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here's what the FAQ's on the Reveal website says:
      Motion Sensitivity: Ranges from 0-9. 9 is the highest and 1 is lowest, 0 is off. It is recommended to start in the middle, and adjust sensitivity up or down as needed.

    Again Another video that negates the fact that You NO LONGER HAVE 24mp You only have 16MP max And you can ask to have hd pics sent to you at a price. At 24MP you dont need HD!!

    • @iHuntTV
      @iHuntTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That maybe true, but the 16MP pics are pretty darn good too. I like it when I pull the cards and look at the other triggers and videos that I don't see on the phone...It's kind of like Christmas sometimes

    • @bradsisson3728
      @bradsisson3728 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The MP rating is interpolated. So in a transmitted image; there is no improved clarity. Interpolation is a gimmick in the trail cam world.

      Well I tell you. I HAVE READ the instructions twice and from back to front and upside down NO WHERE IN MY BOOK DOES IT SAY ANYTHING about wifi other then the blue light
      Guess it's a assume situation and you know what that stands for !
      First time I have seen how to get into the camera for that live view THANK YOU 😊

      @@pdbuilder8212 Glad it was helpful.
      I found several mentions of the wifi indicator light (blue light) in the manual, tactacam.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260806085029-Reveal-X-User-Manual-
      I guess there may some assumptions that people know how to connect their phone to nearby networks.
