- DC Animation has proven to be the most beloved medium when it comes to adapting various aspects of the DC Comics universe, with popular media such as the DCAMU (DC Animated Movie Universe) based on the New 52, the DCAU with Justice League Unlimited, and many others. The DCAMU version of Batman, in particular, takes much of the spotlight with a multitude of films and characters building upon the Batman mythos, including Nightwing, Damian Wayne Robin, Batwoman, etc. This iteration of Batman works well in demonstrating combat abilities against the likes of the Court of Owls and collaborates effectively with Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern.

I love that when Batman Vs Robin came out some fans were out here saying oh Damian whooped Bruce's ass even Bruce was clearly holding back ducking and weaving all of Damian's attacks and then when Justice League Dark Apkolips War came out brainwashed Batman beat Damian's ass he was like nah i was taking it easy on you last time but now I'm a show you what it is little nigga 😂

Something interesting I noticed was that both Nightwing and Damien fought batman while he was brainwashed and only Nightwing landed hits.. that right off the bat told me that Nightwing is in a different league than Damien when it comes to combat ability. @@ArcTrooperRod-269 Jericho was in Judas Contract. However, they didn't do anything with him. He's shown as a test subject, Mother Mayhem kills him, and then there's a post credit scene showing him surviving. And for some reason they decided to make Jericho an adult while de-aging Raven, eliminating all the opportunity for Jericho and Raven to develop a close friendship like they had in the NTT, which imo was a highlight of their characters, as they supported and understood each other deeply. Like, they kept Dick and Kori's relationship while neglecting the potential for a close friendship between Jericho and Raven. I guess they didn't want this relationship to overshadow Damian's limited decent interactions with her. Then again, that Raven felt like she mostly wasn't allowed to interact with anyone not named Damian.
I’m assuming they were trying to align the universe closer to the New 52 DC instead of Post Crisis DC.

9:12, I find it hard to believe that a small stab wound would incapacitate Batman, while in the museum fight against the three Talons, who were pushing him more than this one, Bruce sustained multiple slashes, stabs and wounds, yet he continued to fight.
I always find that weird too, didn't you sustain much worse injuries earlier in the movie?
But I guess the real life answer would be pacing coming to an end. Whilst the canonical reason is to be seen

Also, i'm pretty sure if falling from a tall building while also shielding Damian from the fall damage isn't going to do anything to him a simple stab to the side isn't going to do anything to him either.

Yeah dcamu universe felt more of Batman universe then the entire dc universe as a whole which drives me crazy because there are so many other characters who deserves a movie way more then just Batman at least in my opinion.
That's why I think Tomorrowverse should have been a soft reboot. It focuses on the other characters, like the JSA or the Legion, and provides backstory and context for heroes like Batman and Superman by focusing on their early days which wasn't even shown in Dcamu even though Batman had like 4 movies to his own. Maybe change the art style a bit to make it more eye pleasing, add new characters and then allow it to continue.

@@TevyaSmolka I feel like it lacked direction for its characters beyond establishing them. And once they realised they were going to reboot anyway in order to let the James Gunn stuff replace it I think they stopped caring. Much like how Dcamu skipped a lot of things and went all out with its last movie and killed and destroyed characters left and right because, frankly, it didn't matter. And even before that they didn't do much with characters like Aquaman and Titans beyond just establishing them.

@@TevyaSmolka i think we just have to wait and see. So far, his work in DC has been good. And I feel everything being connected to DCU is like how the What If series is connected to the MCU in the grand scheme of things. And even if not like that, he still said they were good to have elseworld stuff. I just feel like they are rebooting Tomorrowverse for now to focus on their main stuff first.
Kevin Conroy is GOATED but there are other superheroes honestly I wanted more Nightwing and Starfire not only are they cute and funny but I love how she lead the Titans cause she's usually portrayed as being dumb like in Teen Titans Go which is NOT the case at all
TTG just overextended her personality from the original TT show because she was the more “popular” version of Starfire. But I agree. I liked this one and especially because he calls her by her actual name and not her hero name.
I don't know why, WB and DC piss on Grayson, every form of media, every chance they get.

Something I just noticed, Bruce probably felt like he was having an out of body experience when he saw Dick wearing the suit since Bruce sees Batman's mask as his face and his own face as a mask. So it would have been weird for him to look at Dick with his suit, probably thinking, "That's me" for a fast second.
I love the DCAMU. Me and my father watched just about every movie as they were released. Good times.

Justice League Dark should've been attached to Wonderwoman since day 1. One her main antagonists is literally Circe, she literally fights mystical and mythological creatures and entities.
Except the justice league dark had members closer to batman. It isnt JUST magic. It was dark occult shit which is why it was mainly Zatanna and Constantine.

Which is why they had a Justice Dark with her and their main antagonist is Hecate, the Greek goddess of magic, witchcraft and the occult. Wonderwoman's greatest enemies are within this realm Circe, Cheetah, Ares and to an extent Silver Swan, Dr. Poison and Giganta have supernatural elements to them. Most of Batman's Rogues Gallery are classified as human threats and the fantastic elements to them are explained away moreso with science.
I think the reason why the DCAMU had so many Batman movies eas because at the time this universe was centered around the new 52. And everything about the new 52 sucked major ass that wasn't Batman. So i believe that's mainly why
Even Bat titles sucked. Batwoman after the wedding was cancelled, Batwing after Luke Fox took the title, Red Hood becoming a 90s edgelord again, Red Robin having never discovered Bruce's secret identity or even being Robin, Barbara Gordon walking again...

Isn't it also the same universe where we're about to get the Teen Titans vs The Trinity but Batman injects himself with enough tranquilizer to kill an elephant or something to take himself out of the fight, and then Damian is like, "Thank GOD. We would've lost if father hadn't done that!" And then the Titans beat WONDER WOMAN AND SUPERMAN? Lol. Like Batman is the real threat. Goddamn. I love Batman so I like to use that as a bit of a feat. Damian didn't even seem worried about 2/3rds of the Trinity. It's like in Naruto when Hiruzen is like, "Crap, Orochimaru is summoning the Hokage! I can't let him summon the 4th!" And then he proceeds to fight Orochimaru, Hashirama, and Tobirama, and does pretty well despite being past his prime. Except worse, because Batman gets put ABOVE SUPERMAN AND WONDER WOMAN. Like, I think at that point, Batman could solo all of Naruto lmao.
Pretty much but the Flash is also present, however the Titans don't really fight the Justice League because the first thing they do break Trigon's control over Superman by stabbing him with the kryptonite shard Batman keeps in his belt and Superman is actually the one who takes on The Flash and Wonder Woman.
The titans didn’t beat the JL. Damian forced the demon out of Superman by stabbing him with kryptonite. And then Superman stopped WW.
But he wasn’t wrong. Batman rocked his shit on two occasions so it would’ve been a worse fight.
Jason O'Mara is my third favorite Batman voice actor he's no Kevin Conroy but he's close. If anyone should be Kevin's successor it's Jason O'Mara or Bruce Greenwood.
On a somewhat related note, I feel like Troy Baker is the best Joker after Mark Hamill, so he gets my vote for that. And of course Tara Strong is the best Harley except maybe Arleen Sorkin, the OG. (Tbh, I'm so used to Tara and don't really remember Arleen, so I wouldn't really fight anyone over their preference between those two either way)

That was WBs problem before the DC/Discovery merger they oversaturated the hell out of batman in live action, gaming and animation. Not sure why they thought focusing primarily on one character would be profitable in the long run. Forcing him into movies he didn't even belong in. That modern father son narrative they try and force is weird since batman is only about 12 or 13yrs older.

Spittin tbh. But honestly i dislike most of the Batman movies in this universe with a passion with my favorite being Son of Batman. Batman vs Robin is a butchering of the original Court Story and Batman and Robin new 52 vol1 "Born to Kill" they take Damian as he was in that story which was slightly at odds with his father but still shows his loyalty in the end and basically trash it. And then Bad Blood yeah the terrible characterization of Talia on top of it barely focusing on the family's dynamics and instead just focused on Kate mostly and treating Nightwing like a punching bag

@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 not really. The way Damian was conceived was how Morrison wrote it in the first volume of their run. And regarding the later retcon it doesn't make it any better either. One thing I agree with is how poorly they handled the subject. Talia says in Bruce's face that she violated him, and then the story acts like it didn't happen and later it's only brought up as a joke.

I like most of the movies. Though Dark Apokolips War is a bit too somber for my take. I kinda don't feel like watching my childhood heroes, tortured, gored and enslaved. Nightwing is always beaten so easily in adaptations >.< I really like him but like - Injustice killed out of nowhere, Arkham Knight he was kidnapped by Penguin twice in one mission, gets beaten or put to the side in basically every Batman movie he’s in >.<

As a Batman fan, too many solo Batman movies & they focused on the Bat family. I wanted a solo solo Batman movie 😂. And barely any other solo hero movies . The WW movie had bad animation imo bc WB didn’t give them enough money. And I do think animation should be as long as a 2 hr movie. It would certainly flesh out some characters.

Batman is in justice league dark for 2 reasons.
1: I promise you ordinary people have no idea who the justice league dark is, or anyone of the characters on that team. So Batman is there because everyone knows and likes Batman. He brings in people who don’t know what it is
2: he played a veerrryyyyy small role in that film. He was pretty much just there as the audience surrogate so that characters could explain to him what’s happening.

Jason O Mara's as The Batman's voice, the writing still lacked the charms and greatness Of Batman Comic Books, well it's still way better than live-action movies but even if their Batman content has quantity, it lacks the Charm of Batman in The Batman Comic books, I wouldn't call it a delicious feast but the delicious food not made with care and done wrongly That taste weird. It's like getting getting a ton Of Anime Live-action adaptation like Netflix Death Note, It's a statement to call it as anime feast as a fan getting a ton of live-action and content but I would still watch It regardless until I get the right one. As the Many And Elseworlds Batman animated movies and stories are appreaciated.
