Late to the party, but - Supergirl is not very much like that at all. She doesn't trust easily and she feels alien. And boy, what a potential for anger and violence... That aside, I love this version of Supergirl, specifically because, as you said, Melissa Benoist is such a great match and, with all due respect to Helen Slater and possible other versions, will probably always be my favourite.
The thing that always gets me with that is... Lex doesn't actually argue with her. Kinda get the feeling if it was Clark he'd have at least tried but knows full well Kara would quite happily throw him out the vanishing point so plays nice.
Albuquerque bit is bugs bunny, as in I should have turned left at Albuquerque. I think the doctor who episode is called turn left, as in Donna had to turn left so she could meet the doctor
The parts where Kara said: "Kick. Alien. Ass.", and "Oh, shut up, you mean girl!", I laughed on that part. And the parts where she says: "I could throw her into space. I'd dream about doing that", and "Don't Grab Women, Sweetheart", that freaked me a little bit.
I’m still so irritated that the CW casting people did such a great job, but the writers and effects teams failed so hard so often. Almost every actor in every Arrowverse show was absolutely perfect in their roles.
@ did you watch the same shows I did? They had Candace Patton who proved herself to be a decent actress playing the most horrendously written character ever. They had so many seasons of the Flash standing around talking instead of just stopping the bad guy.
