Looks good. Great video. I am in the process of doing recovery from stalls in the ikarus then on to circuits. Hope to obtain my licence sometime this year.
Loving watching these Andy. Learning in a C42 myself at Barton just now, and this stuff really helps. Must have a ride down to Ashcroft, it looks a really nice place.
Great vibes mate. I LOVE the wing cam. It looks ace, especially on a nice day and when you’re making right hand turns. Landings are improving already too. 👍
Thanks Rory! As I just said to Ben, a lot of the credit for the improvements goes to you and Ben for all of your help and advice. Might have to get another mount for the other side so I can move it depending on circuit direction at different airfields - you guys got my camera brain working a little better now haha
Once again a great vid, beautiful aircraft, super pics and edits, and I love the way you explain what your doing and why your doing it while in the air.. love it nick 👌
Thanks so much John! The Hero 8’s standard colour settings really do make it light work. Plus I have had a lot of advice from Ben Atkinson and Rory Auskerry so they have to take some of the credit! Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching - hopefully I can continue to keep you entertained!
@@LetsGoFlyingYou're welcome. I agree, the wing cam is a great edition! It gives a perspective that you don't usually get to see and gives us a great look at G-MEGZ.
Fantastic video, and brilliantly educational! I am about to renew my SEP after 15 odd years of no flying and our group has a C-42 and a Eurofox and very very temped as this looks like the fun flying I want to do!
Hi Joe! Thank you! Yes I am glad you picked up on that - it was a worry but I was confident that my skills since qualifying had progressed to a point where I would have been safe. The first landing wasn’t great but I learnt quickly from it and the C42 is very forgiving!
Thanks so much! I was worried about coming from the visibility in the Eurostar to the C42 in terms of my channel but the wing cam I think makes up for it! Thanks for watching!
I’m booking my intro flight this summer to get my recreational pilot permit then work towards my private pilot license and so on, here in Ontario Canada. I want to eventually fly twin engine planes as work charting cargo and people to the far north for work. I’m too excited and my algorithm is just exploding with aviation content learning some basics. Is there anything that you would suggest for someone beginning like myself? I haven’t even been in the sky once in my life haha.
Getting there! Much better now - I’m 10 hours in already - where has that time gone?!?! The camera is actually on the wing tip and is also tethered to the structure of the wing as a backup. It’s not going anywhere! Works well actually - I was a little worried going from the visibility of the Eurostar to the C42 but I think this angle adds something different so it is a happy compromise.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 it’s a pain in the backside! I have two usb sockets which I constantly have four batteries charging in. I also utilise the go pro remote to pause and resume recording to get more out of the batteries. The wing cam is impossible to replace the battery in flight for obvious reasons lol so I usually plan a stop every hour to at least change that battery!
@@LetsGoFlying I still run my GoPro 3+ because it can charge and record at the same time, the later models, GP5 onwards won't charge and record. I run a battery backer on the wing cam and just set it going, and I make sure the memory card is cleared..don't ask me how I know this. ;)
Looking good. When you mention 'round out' is that because the C42's require a trickle of power as they can 'drop' in the last few feet, whereas an EV97 has more ground effect?
MySkyranger it was just my preference to be honest! I find the C42 more comfortable and easier on a longer journey. The Eurostar will always hold a special place in my heart though!

Awesome video, hope you have many happy landings in the new aircraft! ✈️👍
Thanks so much George and thank you for watching! Hopefully they will all be a little more gentle than the first one!

Love G-MEGZ such a beautiful aircraft! Hope she serves as well as Juliet Romeo! Great video! 👍
Thanks Josh - I was worried about the visibility for videos but the wing cam I think more than makes up for it! Thanks for watching!

Good viiiiideo mate yesss! Enjoyed that. Improvement for sure - on the video editing but the flying also, obviously! And that camera angle!!! 😍
Thanks Ben! A lot of credit goes to you and Rory for all of your help and advice!
Great vid, love the angles. How about a tail shot? 3rd landing looked pretty smoooooooth :)
A great video and plane , thanks for the video .🐥
Great video again mate, nice progress with the landings too especially without an instructor.

That camera angle is something else mate! But really enjoyed the vid, and i can tell that these videos are getting better by the day!

Great video. Enjoyed flying with you and on such a glorious morning. Good stuff, interesting camera angles and a smooth edit. Well done! Tim
Well that means a lot coming from the master! Thank you so much for watching! I am thoroughly enjoying your channel as well!

Enjoyed! Good stuff Nick
Thanks so much Dean! I’ll definitely head over to visit soon!
Really nice video. Starting to get the hang of the C42 already. Really like the camera angle, I take it it’s bolted on to the nav light housing?

Can't beat a bit of circuit bashing. Oh to bring back those warm, dry and calm days. I am really enjoying the extra camera angles.
Thank you! I’ve bought another couple of cameras that I’ve got a good plan for!
@@LetsGoFlying I'd love to know how you keep them charged. I'm sure we'll discuss this one day.

Great video , the large flat screen on the cockpit panel us that just an iPad Mini ?
Hi Andrew. Thank you so much for watching! The screen is indeed an iPad running SkyDemon. Nothing too fancy!
Let's Go Flying any chance you could cover how you fit and use it in the C42 in a future video pls?
I came from tiktok I love your channel
Why did you change the Eurostar for the C42.
Having flown both, the vision from the Eurostar is far superior

Hi it’s chaz of TikTok
Hello Chaz! Thanks for watching!
It’s alright
Do you have to pay airport fees to take off/land??
TikTok live ended quick 😳 hope you’re ok
Haha just seen this. Yes still here!
Haha I've done worse 😂
You lived = good landing
