Because all the main forces in the one piece World want the ponyglyphs, I bet Robin is going to have to really watch her back. We know that she spent time with the revolutionaries, who probably want them as well. Every yonko could conceivably try to go after her, and we know the government already has it out for. She might actually be the most dangerous person in the world other than Dragon, in the eyes of the government. I could totally see further down in the story her getting captured again by some force, and instead of being complicit like a Ennie Lobby, she is totally loyal to herself and crew.
Hi Liam this is an awesome video but surely it's time to do an updated version that explains what we have learnt about sed ponyglyths in the past 4 years
i always thought that luffy forgot to tell robin about poneglyph he saw on desert add it will be get in light in future now after hearing it was a filler at least now my curiosity about that gone away.
hi, i really like your explanations and theories! would you consider making a video on the swords of the one piece world? you mentioned some of the system in your tashigi video i think. alternatively, do you think you could make a video about johnny and yosaku one day?
@@GrandLineReview *Enjoy reading!* : I believe this is the *CLOSEST* you can get to finding out the entire story of One Piece. If you think about it, the average person would probably think the treasure mentioned by Roger at Raftel Island is some sort of money or gold that can turn one into a very rich and powerful person. But I'm pretty sure that would be too blend for a story this huge. So my best guess/bet is that they are some sort of hidden knowledge that the people in the void century once had that made them a really powerful nation to the point where I'm sama (and the others) would do anything to get it which led to the war that happened. Thus, they was able to take down those people allowing In Sama to rule for the next 800 years. And to ensure that they successfully continue doing so is to close the doors of anyone figuring out the crimes that they did towards those people 800 years ago. Because if the truth broke out, the entire world would or will lose faith in the World Government which also means the weak and strong are going to rebel against them. But that is slowly starting to become a reality because some people have already found out about them. One of whom is that Professor who was then killed. Thus, this would explain as to why Dragon and the revolutionary army would be targeted as their number one enemy. Along with the likes of Joyboy and Robin which they wanted to erase from history but are recently having difficulty in doing so for Robin seeing how Luffy is with her. This would also be one of the reasons why Roger handed himself over to the marines as he probably knows their secret. And what better way to inform the world about it *INDIRECTLY* than to encourage everyone to search for that treasure. He is powerful therefore he didn't suffer the same fate as the Professor. Because if he hadn't done that then the world wouldn't be bothered to look for it and would constantly think its (the treasure) just some made up rumor. So he had to make the sacrifice by giving himself over. If the pirate king himself says it then people (majority of the pirates) will automatically believe him. This is also one of the the reasons why Whitebeard said the same thing before his final breath in order to fuel that faith even greater cause that would make headlines. And one good thing about this is that in wanting to discover the treasure, those other poneglyphs will be undoubtedly be discovered and pursued which will be hold at a greater value as well which will then lead to people finding out about the history that happened 800 years ago along with the locations of the ancient weapons therefore making his sacrifice worth every moment of his life. But the question is how did those poneglyphs came to be? We know for a fact that one of the clans from Wano created it and how he died by one of the Yonkos. But why? It all make sense actually. If he had been alive, then people would have find out about the readings of the poneglyphs so they probably made a deal with Kaido to kill him. (Shanks having discussion with Gorosei remember? Exactly) So this guy that carved the poneglyphs was probably a decendant from one of the Void Century which explains why he had such information. Why would he just randomly carved out some unknown writings on some worthless black cubes then right? Which brings me to final point, the reason why these poneglyphs exist in the first place. We know that a battle happened between Im Sama and his people against those on that Island during the Void Century. Think about it,if Im managed to kill them all without leaving any trace of evidence behind, he would have done so without having to kill anyone like the Professor or even worry about such army that would oppose them on the level of Dragon. But the truth of the matter is, he (or she) failed. Those people 800 years ago must have used those weapons and acquire high knowledge of the world. They know that if all of these went into the wrong hands, the world would be in utter chaos and destruction so they decided to wrote them down on something that would be hard to destroy. And also, be hard to find and understand. So the only way this can happen is if there are survivors to ensure that are well preserved and hidden so they spread these throughout the entire world which we know today as poneglyphs. And of those survivors are also carriers of the Will of D. How these will is being spread? Bloodline. They bore families and passed on the knowledge and lifestyle to their offspring. And that huge hat that Im sama has is definitely that reminder. 😎 Please dont tell ODA. 😙
Maaaan that final road poneglyph gonna be in Elbaf so that when Luffy has his fight with the antagonist there, he will fight his 3rd Yonko who has a poneglyph
I'm rather looking forward to finding out more about Uranus. Poseidon was a unique "weapon" to say the least and wasn't what I expected at all. I've been theorizing that it could potentially be a flying fortress or something along those lines, though. I don't know how it would have been constructed, but that would fit well with the name "Uranus."
Digizel the Bui when Luffy becomes the pirate king then the writers may use the weapon as a new story out on something that could destroy Luffy or the world
They say there are 30 or so scattered across the world and need them all for the entire poneglyph called the real poneglyph (Rio). They only found a fraction of them meaning they need to find them all and thus the story continues and they can explore the 4 seas which hardly are touched on.
Poseidon - ruler of sea - mermaid Uranus - ruler of sky - maybe the one roger used to destroy shikis fleet Pluton - rule of underworld - something underwater in wano
It's not confirmed but it was during the Whole Cake Island arc. Big Mom's whole plan was to have Pudding awaken her abilities so that so she could read the poneglyphs.
A consideration for an updated version of the video: Something mentioned in the story about Armament Haki leads me to believe that the messages were carved into regular - albeit very large - stones which were then infused with a very specific type of Armament Haki that caused them to become indestructible. Sadly I don't remember who was talking about haki in this way to make me think of it (possibly Mihawk teaching Zoro about black blades).
Hmm, we've seen people infuse arrows with armament so i guess it is possible to infuse something without holding it, but i don't think we've seen anything on that scale be infused nor have we seen an object leave someone's grasp and stay hakied for even a second. Enough haki to be effectively indestructible is yonko level haki, in addition to exceeding precedent by far in two other ways. Perhaps possible but that's a lot of exceptions even for exceptional artifacts. Does make me wonder, is it possible to haki infuse other things to protect them. Like when zoro was wielding hana arashi if he had haki could he have made sogeking as haki-infused as he can make himself or his swords? Could luffy infuse the thousand sunny with haki to withstand cannon fire? Did doflamingo infuse his cage strings with haki, explaining their indestructibility? Could fujitora levitate a mountain and infuse it with haki? What would happen if you used haki to treat something as an extension of yourself, like a weapon kind of is, and then just like you might turn your body into mochi you turned those extensions of yourself into mochi
a new idea is that as of recently the word "ryuo" meaning "flowing" is the same as armament haki which rayleigh used and luffy is currently learning how to use ryuo properly thanks to the daimyo of flowers to blast kaidos scales. So it may be possible like how kaidos subordinate the bat guy infused his arrows with armament haki, for that sort of infusion to be some sort of mastery of ryuo. In which luffy could master by the end of wano o-o
its always been obvious that the poneglyphs are made using some kind of futuristic stone working method from the past. i dont know why people feel the need to make weird theories about how whatever current newest thing revealed in the manga has to be interconnected to everything else in ways that dont even sound plausible

May I ask something, if they can use 2 road poneglyph? I mean when you write "X" there is two lines. But if the poneglyph that they have, can make "/" this line or "\" they can just locate the middle part since the other will definitely hit the middle to? 🤔 Just wondering 😊
I have a feeling that the last road poneglyph os at God Island. That's why Roger was there. Alsk have a feeling that the showdown between luffy and BB/Akainu would be there
Why does Rio poneglyph sound like Real Poneglyph? Idk this might be nothing, but we're talking about an author who named an antagonist Burn The World and most folks didn't even catch it.
Hey I'm on 770 and just learned of the red blocks and that they'll lead you to Raftel, when you know all their locations, you'll figure out the center is the island, but the first red block was on a moving elephant, now it might be explained in a couple of episodes but just thought that was weird
the poneglyph is a very important item in going to one piece raftel. that is why luffy broke the eternal log pose to raftel is a wise decision because without the. message of the ponyglyphs going to raftel will be useless.
i doubt it, afterall if that was the case one of the yonko would have taken it as well, big moms poneglphs are in her treasure room suggesting they were physically moved to that room and wernt originally on tottland, so if the fourth was in a known location then kaido or big mom would have made a move for it already, by the sounds of it once you reach the last island is normally when you learn you need to road poneglyphs, so i think that there might either be a normal ponglphs there or some other instructions left behind by roger telling pirates to looks for the road ones
considering that most pirates find out about the road poneglyps by reaching that last island im pretty sure its not there, the only reason the strawhats found out early was becuase they went to zou. it was stated there that they bypassed that step by finding a road pneglyph early, and besides if the road poneglyphs were that easy to find ther would be a pirate king already
the 4 road poneglyphs have inscriptions on them which describe 4 different locations which when plotted on a map can reveal the location of the final island. the locations of the actual physical poneglyphs them selves doesnt mean shit
So the poneglyph found by Luffy, Zoro and Chopper, in a burried ruin on the desert of Alabasta, is not cannon? It seems really important, and yet is just filler.
I think the 4th road poneglyph is under the control of shanks and is in elbaf. Since he is an emperor. All the emperor have one each. So, i guess shanks will eventually give it to luffy but not that easily but after testing him to realize if he really is the true holder of one piece.
Only three poneglyphs are required for the location of the final island. The fourth one is obsolete. The final island will be on the lines joining the three locations on the map.
The poneglyphs each occupy different distances and locations from each other. Yes a fourth would be obsolete if you are talking about points of equal distance and measure. But since they aren’t this means you would indeed need a fourth one to identify the location.
@@islamiccat105 idk why he even commented that, it's pretty clear that the story tells us we need all 4, Roger had to get all 4, Luffy also needs all 4 or else he would have already been on his way to laugh tale
Wasn't the only person who can read the stone is Robin ? Thus make her a super valuable asset. If any of the yonkos found out about this they will be fighting to get her.
GrandLineReview i hope 2 and then the final battle will be on raftel between straw hats and black beard crew, whers black beard wins and becoms the pirate king
What about the poneglyph in alabasta that name came across when they fell into that hole in the desert when luffy was acting crazy from dehydration. It was on the screen for a second and then no one ever talked about it?
the poneglyphs are an example of some kind of futuristic stone working technology from the past. they arent actually indestructible but the knowledge of how to make them is long lost so nobody knows how to destroy them anymore. science isnt advanced enough anymore to understand how the poneglyphs are made and destroyed
I think when one piece is gonna end nico robin will split from the crew to find these poneglyphs and come back to luffy to tell him the history , the location of the 3 weapons and the one piece ??
I hope the Poneglyph can replace this nonsense of power scaling and defeating madmen to something really consequential . An invasion or anything is fine if it's sensible , I'd hate a Madara or Kaguya happening in One Piece in the future .
3:58 anyone with a brain could figure out that you only need 2 or 3 of the Poneglyphs, then you can just do a line in between 2 points and go straight lmao idk
yep that’s what I thought too but remember reyleigh told them to take their time with the poneglyphs so they can get a different answer than what the roger pirates got so maybe they might need to decode all 4 to uncover something but that’s just a theory
If the world gov wants to keep the void century hidden why they never went behind the ponygliffs. Even if they get couple of normal ones and only one road ponygliff they are sorted no one can find laughtale without it
Wait... I thought that since the reveal that Oden travelled with Roger we can naturally assume that Oden translated it for Roger. Cos I mean, how can he hear the voice of writing? The poneglyphs aren't alive. That's more fantastical stuff that was done in paradise. The New World has more explanation that makes sense jn a sci-fi fantasy way.
I have only just started rereading the manga (having previously only gotten as far as Sanji's introduction when it first ran in the English Shonen Jump) and am only at Nami's introduction. On the anime, I am nearing the end of the Thriller Bark arc (my first time watching), so I have seen some of the Poneglyphs on the show. I was a little surprised to learn that the one found by Luffy and Co. under the desert of Alabasta wasn't canon. I had always had a feeling that one would be important and the Straw Hats would either have to revisit Alabasta for Robin to read it or have Vivi copy its text and somehow send it to them. Guess I was way off about that!
Tbf, the straw hats don’t really need the poneglyph in alabasta as it is for pluton which I highly doubt Luffy would want to use any of the destructive weapons so that’s why I think it’s not really significant.
@@soranaziz8348 It was implied that the one in the capital was about Pluton, but I was referring to the one Luffy and co. found in the desert, which is apparently AO since it wasn't included in the list of known canon poneglyphs.
The last one is available in the fishman island as shown in the animation where roger and oden visits the fisherman island to see the poneglyph where they saw both red and normal ones.
according to my brother, nobody who watches OP actually cares about this, and that skypiea arc/saga is not enjoyed by anybody (skypiea? isn't that a filler saga?) which is ridiculous. i hope oda has the state of mind to make the story require fans to go back in time to pay attention to these scenes
PG Plays Video Games I just finished Skypiea and loved it! Yes the pacing was off. But I truly feel like it’s the best arc up to that point in the series
your brother doesn't like skypiea. he has something called a bad opinion. like any other arc skypiea is in the manga but he hates it so much that he calls it filler lol
yea that would be too soon for that imo, afterall many people assumed urouge was the weakest due to his low bounty, but now we know he was strong enough to take down snack of the big mom pirates, right now i would say bonney seems the weakest but the fact she somehow got away from blackbeards trap and an incoming akainu should be considered

Only three poneglyphs are required for the location of the final island. The fourth one is obsolete. The final island will be on the lines joining the three locations on the map.
How would you draw a line with only one point lol
@@itsbobybobmr2880 i said three points
The poneglyphs each occupy different distances and locations from each other. Yes a fourth would be obsolete if you are talking about points of equal distance and measure. But since they aren’t this means you would indeed need a fourth one to identify the location.
@@islamiccat105 idk why he even commented that, it's pretty clear that the story tells us we need all 4, Roger had to get all 4, Luffy also needs all 4 or else he would have already been on his way to laugh tale
Try drawing it on a piece of paper. You might get it if you’re smart.
Coming back here after chapter 1066
Will there be a Top 5 Luffy or Sanji Moments?
What’s the background music please
Epic by Bensound
Wasn't the only person who can read the stone is Robin ? Thus make her a super valuable asset. If any of the yonkos found out about this they will be fighting to get her.
Yeah I wonder how that’s going to play in the future even tho yo comment was 3 years ago
How.... do you even carve out letters in a stone made out of an indestructible material
wut
By telling Luffy that there is meat inside
One question are stones on all of islands of grand line or some are outside of grand line 😅
How does the road ponyglyphs work? What kind of info could there be that is needed to sail the grand line? :S
Can u do a series of videos talking about all main characters?
Caesar Clown Explained Please!
I'll add him to the list!
I feel like the last one is either in mariejois or in the hand of blackbeard
I hope it's Mariejois.
That was a filler episode. That poneglyph doesn't exist.
@@GrandLineReview didn't even consider that and I stupidly made this comment half way through the video. My apologies lol.
@@GrandLineReview maybe oda told toei to include it.
Toei Showa Fate Prequel Explained: The Bone Hieroglyphs!
Was the one in the hole that Zoro fell in considered a Poneglyph?
can mihawk cut it
maybe the last poneglyph is the one that luffy, zoro and chopper found in the alabast dessert.
thats from a filler scene
Sorry if this has been answered already, but anybody ever wonder how they were able to carve into huge, indestructible stone? 🤔
I'm pretty sure the people of Wano were using Ryo
the poneglyphs are an example of some kind of futuristic stone working technology from the past. they arent actually indestructible but the knowledge of how to make them is long lost so nobody knows how to destroy them anymore. science isnt advanced enough anymore to understand how the poneglyphs are made and destroyed
Will no one discuss the very first poneglyph that was found by Luffy, Zoro and Chopper in the desert of alabasta????
Make about video theory about wano war
I think when one piece is gonna end nico robin will split from the crew to find these poneglyphs and come back to luffy to tell him the history , the location of the 3 weapons and the one piece ??
Near 4k already
So close, yet so far...
The Raftel eternal pose ?? Eh its already been destroyed idk
Even if they get couple of normal ones and only one road ponygliff they are sorted no one can find laughtale without it
It can’t be broken
wait a minute.... in the middle of a 3 stationary and 1 moving porneglyph is raftel???
New GLR video 😁
Shocking theory, Gol D. Roger Is actually Joy Boy’s brother.
Deep Solanki Oooh
bruh trekking is so fkn annoying u got my sub
can you do a one piece 101 on Hina
I'll add her to the list!
Roger heard where the poneglyphs were, so he could go see them but Oden did all the translating and writing.
Roger could actually hear some of the poneglyphs tho, unable to fully understand them, that's why he needed Oden
Yup
wait we really haven't seen Gol D Roger's forehead properly, suspicious.
like remember when he wore the straw hat, his forehead was fully covered
So... the 600 eggs?
Here are the people who can read now
• Nico Robin
• Kozuki Sukiyaki
• Charlotte Pudding
charlotte pudding is speculated to possibly be able to read them once her third eye is awakened
how did it scattered around the world??
boats can transport objects around the world
Can't luffy hear all things
U didn't tell what's written in jt atleast those who were discovered
Lhh just take a picture of all of them lol I may be wrong but if u Take a pic or copy down what written theres no need to take the big block home
ye people just use paper to take a print of the writing
5:03 are you sure??😂
🤣🤣
U don’t understand English
I thought there were 30 Poneglyphs, so 10 Historical, 10 Instructional and 10 Road, right? WRONG ONLY 4 ROAD PONEGLYPHS!!!
TESTDUMMMYZ
la tavola smeraldina ... ricorda niente? hermes trismegistus ... tre volte grande. tre. uno e trino. un cristo.
The last one is available in the fishman island as shown in the animation where roger and oden visits the fisherman island to see the poneglyph where they saw both red and normal ones.

101 on dressrosa characters?
I've got a couple of them coming up!
If robin can read them, I can too

7th
according to my brother, nobody who watches OP actually cares about this, and that skypiea arc/saga is not enjoyed by anybody (skypiea? isn't that a filler saga?)
which is ridiculous. i hope oda has the state of mind to make the story require fans to go back in time to pay attention to these scenes
Bro explained the poneglyphs like tier zoo
If you already haven’t make a vid ranking the 11 supernovas from weakest to strongest.
I'll throw it on the list of things to do. It's a tough one though because we've seen so few of their capabilities.
yea that would be too soon for that imo, afterall many people assumed urouge was the weakest due to his low bounty, but now we know he was strong enough to take down snack of the big mom pirates, right now i would say bonney seems the weakest but the fact she somehow got away from blackbeards trap and an incoming akainu should be considered
