I was a bit heavy handed with the inks and paints in this week’s video. It’s better to build up layers with the inks and paints over adding too much the first time around. You can always lift up the corner of the stencil to see if you like the result and then add more!

P.S. I didn’t know about the Pebeo sprays…they look much better in terms of how well they spray!! I like it!

The Pebeo sprays are excellent for the art journal, I've had great success with them. When I use them in my in-person classes, everyone loves them. I'd definitely suggest you give them a try!

If you figure out how to get the sprays not to clog, I would be very interested!! I wonder if the companies can help with ides for that? Interesting. Thank you! 💕

I find that ones with just straight color usually don't clog too badly, it's the ones with mica in them that are constantly an issue. From a lot of people that I know use them, it's just a constant problem that doesn't get fixed. I've also started decanting the sprays into bottles that have had makeup products or eyeglass sprays. The pumps are better quality and I generally get less clogging.

Does the paint have a strong odor? I like the look but would be concerned spraying indoors.

It has a bit of an odor, but not as strong as conventional spray paints used for outdoor use. I generally find that if I shake the can for at least 2 minutes the odor isn't too bad, because the paint is properly mixed. If you don't mix it long enough, you'll get a lot of accelerant and a lot of smell. But if used correctly the smell isn't too bad (I find Modge Podge and certain gessos have a much stronger smell than the spray paints) and doesn't linger for very long. But I would advise to open a window to clear the air more quickly.

I can’t find a source for the Pebeo spray paint. Where do you buy them.

I found them at my local art store. I was looking online and I can't find a good source for them, I'm assuming it's because they are pressurized paint they can only be shipped by ground. My suggestion is to check out your local art or craft store that carries Pebeo and see if they can order them in for you. I hope that you're able to find them locally, they're a great paint for art journaling!

what company made the scroll mask, please?

The scroll mask was from a company called Tattered Angels and they no longer make stencils or masks. I used it because it was beautiful and worked so well for my page, it sometimes frustrates me how quickly stencils and masks go out of production. I try to use current products as much as I can, but I find usually after 6 months to a year a lot of them have already gone out of production! I hope that you're able to find something similar!

@@avanellehansen4525 That's a great idea. I often make my own stencils if I can't find a design that I'm looking for. It's unfortunate so many beautiful designs go out of production so quickly!
