    These are sooo cool. You've inspired me to use this texture for some compositions that I have in mind. I have a question though. Let's say that you don't want to tuck the fabric behind the canvas and you're making a composition that will have a design border, would you just use glue to secure the fabric to the canvas? If so, what glue do you recommend?

      Hey Lisa! For just plaster, no sheet I think this account on IG is a reference @gia.marie.art it seems like she layers super thick plaster (almost like clay) and sands it down to look like fabric.
      But for the fabric on the large pieces. I did the same as the video - very very watery plaster so I have the flexibility to move it into shape. Let it dry for a day and then I started to add thicker layers on plaster over it

    Hi! So when I work with plaster for layering I find that I need to work very fast because my mixture starts drying up. Is there a way to prevent this??? Thank you! !

    • @NoritaGharib
      @NoritaGharib  ปีที่แล้ว

      Adding more water than plaster extends the dry time! But it also makes the mixture runny, if you’re trying to apply thick layers - I make smaller batches because it dries up so fast and clean my brush in between

      @@NoritaGharib It hardens really well for wall art and you can apply it with a paint brush it you want it thick. Try it out. It also depends o the fabric being used as to how much you may want to apply. Have fun with it, if you try it let me know. I enjoy working with it.

    Hii, I tried and follow your tutorial. I’m on 4th layers right now and in some part there are some cracks especially in the hollow part. Is it normal? Should I keep layering the plaster?
    Some fabric still feeling soft as well

    • @NoritaGharib
      @NoritaGharib  ปีที่แล้ว

      You might need to be adding more plaster than water to your layers. It should lay on pretty thick. Even if it doesn’t come out smooth, the sand paper will do that. But thicker plaster and enough time in between to dry should do the trick.

    • @NoritaGharib
      @NoritaGharib  ปีที่แล้ว

      Adding more plaster will dry out faster so make small batches at a time and wash your paint brush in between so it doesn’t get hard and clumpy
