Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp / Easy Recipe /

  • Today we will be going step by step to show you; how to make a delicious Bacon- Wrapped Shrimp. From start to finish. ‪@Handsoncooking‬
    Yields - 20 /// Prep Time -10 mins /// Total Time - 30 mins
    INGREDIENTS
    - 1 lb. shrimp (about 20 pieces), peeled and de veined, with tails still on
    - 10 pieces of thick-cut bacon, cut into thirds
    - 4 tbsp. butter, melted
    - 2 tbsp. maple syrup
    - 1 tbsp. chili powder
    DIRECTIONS
    1) Peeled and de-veined, Shrimp with tails still on.
    2) Cut 10 slices of bacon in half to make 20 pieces.
    3) In a small bowl, mix together butter, maple syrup, and chili powder.
    4) Preheat oven to 400°. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon, and Place shrimp on prepared pan.
    5) Brush shrimp with about half of the maple butter sauce. Bake for 15 minutes or until bacon is crisp and shrimp is cooked.
    6) Brush with remaining maple butter and broil 3 minutes.
    7) ENJOY!!!!!!

    Would you consider substituting the maple syrup and chili powder for Korean BBQ sauce?

    Do you worry that the shrimp might be overcooked? Would you think that partially cooking the bacon before wrapping, then a shorter baking period, would also work? Thanks, great video.

      Always precook the bacon for 10 minutes on 400* then while it’s cooling you can soak the shrimp in the sauce and then brush on the left over sauce for 2 minutes. I also turn my shrimp after 5 minutes on 400* & then bake under broiler for 1 - 2 minutes on opposite side. I’ve been making these for 10 or so year’s and the bacon never gets done before over cooking the shrimp unless you pre cook the bacon.

      @@pamelamorris3148 I was thinking the exact same thing. Shrimp may taste like rubber bullets but I was thinking that somehow the bacon fat May tenderize the shrimp? 🤔

    Is it chili powder or chili pepper powder? Cuz my chili powder is red. The kind you use in chili. Is it that one?
