  • It's that time of the year for the leaves to change colors! While cacti are the same color throughout the entire year, and most trees in the deserts of Arizona are also evergreens, there exists a small oasis of a more temperate climate where the people can see the leaves change colors in the desert.
Today's drive will take us to one of those more temperate oases. We begin from the bottom of the Catalina Highway where it's definitively desert and continues until the summit where we can see the leaves change color and start falling. Skip to 43:34 to see where the yellow leaves really begin to pick up!
