I've had dreams where I realized I was dreaming. I was able to jump up onto roof tops and back down. It WAS an amazing experience! I sure wouldn't mind doing that again. It was so real but at the same time, I knew it was a dream. I didn't care because all the sensations like the air moving, the weight of myself on my legs, the feel of the grit on the shingles, etc made it so real. I woke up just amazed at what the mind could do.

Not sure if this is lucid dreaming or not but after going through a traumatic experience, from then on, whenever I have a nightmare, in the middle of it I would suddenly realise in the dream that I am dreaming and this isn't real and either not he scared any longer and go on with what I was doing in the dream or the nightmare would come to an end.

You're awake but can't move because of the chemicals that don't let you move; sleep paralysis. You see things because you're half awake and what you see in the room mixes with the dream. How to break out of this state? Change your breathing rhythm to signal to the brain that you are awake. And yes you're always breathing you just feel heavy on the chest cause most muscles if not all are relaxed during sleep. Another way is to find a part of your body that you can still move even slightly and move it like crazy. At first it'll feel heavy but gets easier as you become more awake. In my case I can always move my head so I keep shaking my head until I'm awake. But sometimes my head feels too heavy to shake so I just ignore everything and pretend I'm asleep while the monter gets closer to me and without knowing it I'm back to sleep. Just remember it's all in your mind and you won't be scared anymore.
I've somehow managed to kick myself out of a nightmare twice in a row on different nights so far. Not quite sure what I'm doing to achieve this though.

I'm tired all the time, but my brain can never seem to switch off which is why I think I talk in my sleep lol. Overtime times a billion is an understatement in my head all day n night.
Similar here. As a kid, I had the top bunk. More than once I woke up on the floor, not from falling. Same with my bedding. I do find it funny when I've somehow had nights where I manage to completely, neatly rotate the comforter to where the tag is on the end near my face. In the bunk bed days, my sister used to climb up and bug me in the morning, it got to where I'd just swing without even waking up. One time my mom inadvertently triggered that reflex, and I woke, realizing my first had connected with her nose! That was an interesting morning. Seriously though, I've had myriad if issues with my sleep most of my life, so I can relate. In my situation, I'm not sure exactly how things are interconnected, but I know having night terrors since childhood, talking/walking, moving in sleep, sleep paralysis, narcoleptic type situations, intrusive dreams, etc likely contribute my general mental health. I hope some day they get things figured out.

i recently downloaded the app sleep cycle just to get a feeling how my sleep is atm .. and omg i didnt know i talk so much in my sleep almost every night and the most random stuff and mostly i dont even remember anything .. 🤦🏻♂️😂
Had a dream that I was a gay male fashion designer. The stage my models were on was shoulder level to me. One model was complaining and I reached to grab his ankle as I said "But Dude, you still have to wear the green suit!" Woke myself up saying it out loud as I was actually grabbing my baby son's ankle as he was just learning how to get down off the bed. He was sneaking off and I turned it into a funny dream somehow.
i sleep talk since then which happened almost daily... i say things and things i dont know...
when i was 8 years i became jack in titanic and had a full on conversation with rose...my sister heard this and still makes fun of it
You did have a conversation with Rose. 😊
I narrated my dream while half asleep and I went back to sleep to complete the dream😂
Love how my mom tells me that I talk in my sleep- even scream sometimes and I just reply "no" when she talks about it
Once my ex said she tried to start some hanky panky when I was sleep and I sat up told her to leave me the "F" alone and passed back out. Needless to say when I did wake up she was highly upset and I didn't know why until she told me later that day 😯
I talk in my sleep every night. When I spend the night with friends, they say I trick them into conversing with me because what I’m saying halfway makes sense… at first.
My partner makes random sounds and utters random words while she is sleeping and often twitches her arms and legs, while I have the opposite experience with sleep paralysis.
Huh..... This doesn't explain that one time when i engage a full conversation with my gf about fishing. And then she joined in on my dream saying "wow thats a big snapper," thats when we woke up and said to each other, were we just sharing a dream of fishing ?
True story
I often have lovely dreams that are far nicer than in real life I wish I could stay in the dream world and never leave it!
I highly recommend getting into lucid dreaming
@@shadw4701 I wouldn't know how to.
@@carlgreene538 it takes some time and practice as well as self awareness. What you'll mostly need is a dream journal and to do reality checks every day. Some channels I recommend are giz edwards, lucid dream portal and tipharot
@@shadw4701 Thank you when you say journal do you mean to write down my dreams as in keeping a diary of dreams I have had?
@@carlgreene538 np and yes pretty much. It'll help allot and you'll notice being able to remember allot kore dreams to more vivid detail
When I was maybe 5-7 me and my sister would stay at my Gma’s and Gpa’s house when he worked. I remember saying no and woke up as I was saying it no, another time happened probably almost 8-9 months ago i was 20 now I’m 21 but I remember kicking in my dream and I did the exact same thing but I couldn’t stop my self from kicking
I talk in my sleep every single night. Its gotten so bad. Hubby says as soon as my eyes close I begin talking. Which is not like me. But I do tend to sit on the phone and have a cup of tea before bed so maybe il try cut tht out. See if it helps.
My family used to ask me what numbers to put in the lottery when I'm asleep and surprisingly responding with numbers.
Focusing on breathing helps with the panicky part of sleep paralysis, too.
My cat likes to mess with me when I'm in a sleep paralysis state. Annoying, but pretty funny when I think about it.
I've somehow managed to kick myself out of a nightmare twice in a row on different nights so far. Not quite sure what I'm doing to achieve this though.
I apparently yell in my sleep. I have various parasomnias (undiagnosed), but they change depending on what meds I'm taking.
PS ~ Hey Trina!
I can’t lie I was in basic and we had open bay barracks. I was KO sleeping on my side facing the back of the barracks someone got up to use the latrine which was the opposite way I was facing. My friend who was on fire guard said that I said loudly “ turn the bathroom light off” he goes over tells me stfu but realized that I was ko. Craziest sleep talking experience ever had since then every night I sleep talk I think even before joining the military
I talk in my sleep and scream in my sleep. Only my scream sounds so funny because it is mostly suppressed.
For the past 3 years I’ve been talking in my sleep but it seems to only happen when I’m mad and yelling at someone in my dream like this morning I woke myself up yelling “I’ll burn this MF’R down “ I was talking to my aunt who physically abused me growing up. Prior to the past 3 years I never talked in my sleep. Sometimes I wake myself up because I can feel my mouth moving and other times I stay asleep.
I just moved to a new place, the girl living with me said i am waking up screaming and scarred every night that bothers her sleep :( now, i so confused what can i do to make it stop
My bf once told me he heard me singing 😂 I talk almost every night 😅
I shout in my sleep I've also sleep walked when I was a kid to a grave yard. I still still sleep talk now sometimes I wake my self up and here my self talking but already stoped the time I've woken up. , I'm on promazine for sleep as I hardly sleep seems to work for me but also on axity tablets as well haven't heard my sleep talking in a while but I wake up tired mowing I've been talking in my sleep
I sleep talk and my partner said that last night i said make sure you dont forget your pink bag😂😂😂 like whattt😂😂😂
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious; it was a code word I decided on to help a friend sleeping over at my house(I was 10.) know when I was fully awake. Thinking that I wouldn't be able to remember that in my sleep, I was wrong. Actually I was able to convince him to just shut up and leave me alone, and that I was awake, in my sleep. I had no memory of this, at all. He had to tell me about it.

I know the secrets that you keep
When you’re talking in your sleep 💤
Lot of truth in that song. Lot of truth indeed
My hubby said that he loves someone but never mentioned his name
Yeah but what can I do abt this😭 I’ll be taking part in an exchange to Spain and I don’t want that girl to think I’m crazy
Nice video.
Apparently I have a habit of switching between German and English in my sleep, and swearing. Sometimes in both languages.
Who sleep talks when was a child and still sleep talks today?

These comments are the best!
Thanks for doing the research for me and then proposing it to me in a cool and clean way.
Makes sense.
My husband says 3 things almost every night in his sleep.
"Where am I?!"
"What time is it?"
"What day is this?"
I admit it's soooo annoying!!!
I put up with it...or just get up & sleep in our guest Bedroom 😉
My parents always talk to me when I sleep and I am able to answer simple questions. But I have no recall of the incidents.
There was once when I talk to someone when I sleep and ask them to stay quiet too hahahah
The funniest one ive had is my girlfriend told me i woke her up by doing the Hank Hill "BWUAAHHH"
I talk in my sleep every night and I couldn't figure out why my cat would keep waking me up meowing over and over ....and now it makes sense! He must think I'm talking to him but im really sleeping lol
I hear
the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking to your sheep.
Very true!!
@@AllenKnutson Lol
I was screaming, hit my elbow against to wall, free fall... Wired me
My girl said she was talking to me just now. i was otp with her while shoveling my driveway. She said a sentence, then im guessing a response to what the other person responded with. I said , she's all." Hmm,i said, "Who are u talking to she said, " you. I was like tf you were nawww, that's trippy
“How the f are we gonna get an extension cord over there” recorded with the better sleep app I talk at least 1 word every night
I have this app that records me sleeping and I straight up said hey guys what’s up, can you hear me like I was straight up talking to someone in a Normal volume voice
Anyone else seeing this instead of sleeping
Im actually scared of this 💀i never know what i may be dreaming about saying out loud its unpredictable 😭 my fam used to tell me id do it but idk maybe they dont really tell me about it anymore 😭 how do you stop it lmao if tape my mouth shut ill probably just moan 💀
i usually sleep talk most, when people are tryna wake me up
Yeah , I don't like it when happens to me
I record my sleep specifically to listen to myself sleep talk. I’m always disappointed if I only make weird noises.
The funniest thing I’ve said is, “I love you Janeane Garofalo!” 😂 I’m surprised that I didn’t wake myself up.
I've recorded myself sleep talking & I sound like I'm completely possessed or the devil is in me.
I suffer from severe depression & anxiety, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it??
I also used to sleepwalk when I was younger aswell.
I've also punched an ex in his mouth in my sleep, to the point he had blood throughout all his teeth when we woke in the morning. My bed is never the same in the morning as it was the night before, I really must have a boxing match or something while I'm asleep because I never feel like I've had enough sleep at all when I wake up.
Me too
@@candicemirisha912 It's so frustrating hey, I'm on 300mg of antidepressants, which is the highest amount my psychiatrist said they're allowed to treat you with in Aus, plus I take 6 other lots of tablets on top of that daily for the anxiety & also from having a stroke from a migraine (suffered with them since I was a little kid, 40 as of now), which I thought was just a normal migraine, until the 2nd day & my eyesight still hadn't come back to normal, got a brain scan at hospital a week later & bam, you've had a stroke from a migraine, which is apparently quite common.
'noo i need to put the butter on first' lol one of the many things i have apparently said in my sleep
personally know this to be fact person i know who talks all night as soon as her eyes close til she wakes appreciate the post will advice her a docs app is needed
Not gonna lie the original lady who did these videos was just want more captivating when diving into the nitty gritty on this channel.
Ok, my mom had a stroke and now is nonverbal. But at times when she's sleep she talk sometimes.
Spironolactone. Wildest dream's I ever had.
Pillow talk, now this is what I call a cheesy joke 🤣
That shelf is not balanced.
For some reason I tell people to "shut the f*ck up" in my sleep, even if no ones talking or no one is there. I scream it too according to people
My teen daughter tends to talk in gibberish, half words, very quickly. Also sleep walks on occasion. Any correlation between the two?
