I just got mine delivered a few hours ago. I'm glad I was patient, despite being a bit frustrated. When I did the rinse before first use, the temperature was only around 157, so I thought it wasn't hot enough for decent coffee. But while brewing coffee, the temperature is around 190 - which is fine. Also, when I tried a 12-ounce coffee with their most "Intense" coffee, it was too weak for me. But when I used the medium 8 ounce button, it was good.
I just bought one and with 110 capsules, spent $175 USD. Purchased directly from L'Or. They also provide a prepaid labeled bag for recycling pods free of charge.
I just bought one with their early Black Friday sale. I got it and a whole bunch of coffee for less than 200. I had a whole bunch of Nespresso capsules leftover after my Nespresso machine died. So I ordered this instead to replace it. I liked that it did both coffee and the espresso capsules both.
Thank you I appreciate the opportunity to watch your video my wife just bought me the same one on Amazon for my father's day and yes it is amazing and I wasn't sure how to clean it and you explained it perfectly thank you I'm going to subscribe today happy belated Father's Day to you and your family
One of the few YT videos that makes it easy to listen to how loud the machine actually is, everyone else overlaying it with music. Thank you for that. I have the nespresso vertuo next and it's loud. I came here wondering how this compares and it seems about the same from the video. Also loving the technical details with temperatures and measurements.
Make sure you only use aluminium pods, plastic pods will destroy the perforation mechanism inside (the metal part where you put the pod). The mechanism is hold in place by the ring itself which is clamping on a little plastic nob. When using plastic pods, you will eventually pull the metal perforation ring from the nob because the mechanism gets stuck in the plastic pod. After one month, it got lose and they tried to fix it. Did not think to not use plastic pods because my magimix just accepts it and it has no problems. It the user manual it states states it takes aluminum pods, but it does not wean you about plastic pods or not to use them. I use the amulinium pods, but I have one decaf pod I really like and consider it the best tasting decaf pod, but it is a plastic pod.. So, just for your info. Don’t use plastic in this machine, it will destroy it.
Just got one of thrse delivered yesterday . Very impressed with the quality of coffee. Its far superior to the tassimo and not far off my €1000 bean to cup machine. An absolute steal for €70 with 150 pods
My favorite coffee is the Le Tigre. I just add some creamer to the coffee when it's done, and I am good to go! (I am going to try making some of the recipes listed on their website).
My $75 Nespresso machine from Costco is nearly 10-years-old and still humming along. But it only takes the small capsules, and I have to manually stop the pour by pressing a button. Nespresso doesn't make a machine that takes both of their capsules, and so this LOR machine is a big advantage for that. I could use a change of scenery, so to speak, with a new machine, and this one sounds good to me. I saw an ad on the tele. Great review. And the coffee is strong, so you know, because it mimics espresso machines from abroad, and not what westerners are used to loaded up on cream and sugar.
You can make americanos tho. If you pull a espresso shot in a cup, and then pull a lungo shot without a pod (just water) you have a americano. It comes close to the big pods, for me it is preferable. The big pods pull shotS twice as long, making the pull kinda bitter..
I payed 90 euro for the machine and we have more brands from big stores like house brands. Sometimes it’s buy one get one free and that makes it about 40 cents per cup
I just got one for £59 with 100 pods. Cheaper than a monthly order of Nespresso Vertuo capsules. No brainer, I’ve ditched the greedy Nestlé offering! Unfortunately I came back to buy one for my mum and it must have recognised my ip address because it went up to £89.
1:21 So my question is, if theres 3 sizes for coffee, for a noob or coffee virgin who never drank a cup of coffee my entire life, which is the correct size or button to push for coffee?
Any comparisons between the L'or machine and the Nespresso machines? Does the L'or use high pressure to make espressos? Does the machine have the same spinning action that Nespresso has to make the creme on top of the coffee? thx
I just bought one of these June 2023 it was $159.99 with a $40.00 coupon plus a free 30 pack of coffee pods, I'm not sure what to think of it just yet, I don't like that you are limited with the choices you have for coffee and I can't decide if I like the coffee's or not. The espresso is good but I don't really drink those much......
Did you notice any problems with it continually dripping after the brewing? That seems to be one of the bigger complaints about it what are your thoughts.
There are two sensors inside, when it closes the pod compartiment it sees the difference because the rim size of the xxl pods closes to a different rim inside.
Hey ya'll needing help. Can someone please link me on what are all the compatible coffee pods gor this machine. We just bought one today and im confused on what I can use pod wise. Cheers.
So you can only use Lor coffee pods? You think it would work with Peet's coffee pods? Great review by the way! I think I'm understanding that it will work with Nespresso original line espresso pods.
You have two kinds of xxl pods. The double espresso pods and the ‘drip coffee’ pods with a little tab you have to pull of first before using. It gives a big mug of normal coffee, just like the keurig machine pods do..
Hey bud! The coffee is intense and strong because its actually a double espresso shot! Nice review otherwise. How would you say the build quality is? I've heard it "feels" cheap and not as durable as a Nespresso Original Line equivalent.
it is defiantly built cheaper than a delonghi or brevell Nespresso mechine. But just not sure about how long it will last, seems like the breville and de longhi machine last a long time.
So for a single shot, pour off half? The espressos are incredibly strong so I came here to figure out if I'm doing it wrong, I'm trying to understand this
Mine should be delivered tomorrow. My Nesperro is maybe 5 or 6 years old and nearly dead. Works but need 2 or 3 presses to get what it would do in 1 when new lolm It's become quite noisey so I guess I'm use to noise
It blows my mind why people add cream and sugar to get rid of the coffee taste....why even drink coffee then....😢 that looks like good coffee, although definitely not as good as my local roaster
This guy is hilarious. Nespresso capsules have a barcode that ensures the coffee is brewed with the correct temperature and volume. And the 'foam' is not 'creema', it's 'Crema'

Just received makes an excellent espresso. This review was excellent thank you
Glad I could help you find a great machine!

Just got one for Christmas. Came here to learn more about it. Great video!
Hope you enjoy it!

We have a good deals in the UK. I add milk as coffee is really strong. Quite good machine.

I’ve seen a lot of commercials for this also. It looks pretty good. When my Keurig dies I may try one.
Have to say your review is great. Good clear videos. Clear narration.
Do you season food?
@@alihagan0of course. A tiny bit of salt
Great review! I bought this unit in July and have been happy with it. Was looking for a review of unit like this one!
Hope you enjoy it!
I got a crazy deal for christmas last year, €60 w a try out package for cups. It was bc.i was throwing out too much drip coffee. Best choice ever
Nespresso and Starbucks pods work too.
Thanks 🙏🏾 for sharing 🙂
Great review thanks. I’ll stick with my Nespresso for now but I’m glad there is some competition.
On offer at £59 at the moment with 150 pods in the UK
I'm going to give your video my rarest rating...
Helpful.
Thanks!
How does someone make cappuccino or moccha? Thank you for your video and time!

I almost threw away that gray piece😂 I got one for Christmas and I ended up buying the milk frother as an accessory and I love it so far!
1:21 So my question is, if theres 3 sizes for coffee, for a noob or coffee virgin who never drank a cup of coffee my entire life, which is the correct size or button to push for coffee?
Enjoy your videos, they do have reusable/refillable pods for this machine now, thinking about getting one
Great review 👍
Thank you 🙏 for your introduction.
You’re welcome 😊
Than you for the informative review - especially the temperature information.
You are welcome
Any comparisons between the L'or machine and the Nespresso machines? Does the L'or use high pressure to make espressos? Does the machine have the same spinning action that Nespresso has to make the creme on top of the coffee? thx
19 bars of pressure. No spinning.
great review thanks!
Thanks for watching!
So far, the only thing I like about this machine would be the aluminum coffee pods will be great to recycle.
Thank you! Really helpful review.
Thanks for watching!
Best review thank you for sharing
Thanks for the video. Helpful.
Reusable pod is available for this machine.
I was very curious about this machine
How does it compare to the Instant Pot Duo coffee/espresso machine? Thank you for this video.
I just bought one of these June 2023 it was $159.99 with a $40.00 coupon plus a free 30 pack of coffee pods, I'm not sure what to think of it just yet, I don't like that you are limited with the choices you have for coffee and I can't decide if I like the coffee's or not.
The espresso is good but I don't really drink those much......
what is the difference between the sublime machine and the original machine?
Sublime is more compact (smaller)
Great review. cheers
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks
Welcome
Great job ty
So the smaller espresso pods can brew 2.7 oz, correct? You don’t have to use the larger pod for that?
Correct. The large pods don't go that small anyway. The smallest amount with the large pods is 6 Oz.
Correct
How does the coffee pods compare to a k-cup coffee, taste wise?
That machine is so cool
Tyouvdid Mitchell if it robusta or arabica or a combination .. what do you mean by this coffee is very strong ?
Thanks for the insight! I almost purchased one of these until ibread your comment. So what exactly do you recommend?
That’s a lot of water in the used pod container! That seems crazy
Please, how can I change the volume of water (in espresso and coffee modes) in a specific size key in the L'OR Barista machine?
not sutre
The crema looks less than a nespresso coffee. Is this the norm or depends on type or coffee?
I’m in Canada with voltage 110 does this unit work here
Very beautiful!
Can you please let us know where you purchased the cups for both espresso and regular coffee. Thanks
see them at Amazon amzn.to/3ARdzcQ amzn.to/3HuTNaL
Did you notice any problems with it continually dripping after the brewing?
That seems to be one of the bigger complaints about it what are your thoughts.
How does it know your brewing a small pod or large pod?
Good question, not really sure
It's high-tech. It just knows. It can sense the size.
There are two sensors inside, when it closes the pod compartiment it sees the difference because the rim size of the xxl pods closes to a different rim inside.
@@patrickbuijs1972 Cheers
So, 4 months later, is it still chugging along? Thanks for the review!
Yes it is!
So if you brew 2.7 ounces of an espresso instead of 1.4 ounces with 1 pod.. is that considered a double shot? Thanks!
Yes
Hey ya'll needing help. Can someone please link me on what are all the compatible coffee pods gor this machine. We just bought one today and im confused on what I can use pod wise. Cheers.
Can you let’s us know where you purchased the cups? Have you made iced coffee.. can you do a demo on that?
see them at Amazon amzn.to/3ARdzcQ amzn.to/3HuTNaL
So you can only use Lor coffee pods? You think it would work with Peet's coffee pods? Great review by the way!
I think I'm understanding that it will work with Nespresso original line espresso pods.
The bigger pod suppose to be double shot espresso pod base on their site. Is not any other normal coffee pod.
You have two kinds of xxl pods. The double espresso pods and the ‘drip coffee’ pods with a little tab you have to pull of first before using. It gives a big mug of normal coffee, just like the keurig machine pods do..
Excellent review. Do you happen to know if it will pour a cup of hot water only for the occasional tea?
yes, just keep a used pod to act as a dummy
Peets, makes the coffee pods also
Thanks for sharing!🙂
Have you tried descaling this puppy?
not yet, but I need too
ww bought one and had it returned for repair two months later the lid does not close anymore, so ready for the dustbin. Never again
Thanks but after watch decided to keep my Nespresso machine.
I've already got the cuisinart 4n 1 so no more room for others, lol
Where is it made?
Romania
Thx! 😍
You're welcome!
It sounds loud 😮
it was
Only objection is that it is rather large.
Hey bud! The coffee is intense and strong because its actually a double espresso shot! Nice review otherwise.

The machine is just too damn noisy for me buddy I need the coffee to wake me up not the noise 😁
Mine should be delivered tomorrow. My Nesperro is maybe 5 or 6 years old and nearly dead. Works but need 2 or 3 presses to get what it would do in 1 when new lolm It's become quite noisey so I guess I'm use to noise
Anytime I make a latte in it - the milk is too foamy , no one likes a 1/2 a cup of foam
It blows my mind why people add cream and sugar to get rid of the coffee taste....why even drink coffee then....😢 that looks like good coffee, although definitely not as good as my local roaster
Foam isn’t crema peeps!
There are no Nespresso pods, they are capsules.
Wow big noise😁😁
Im sorry but that is not real espresso
Never buy anything exclusive to one company...especially a unknown product
It’s Nespresso compatible
@@Ellengin Espresso ok...coffee ????...either way ...won't buy
This guy is hilarious. Nespresso capsules have a barcode that ensures the coffee is brewed with the correct temperature and volume. And the 'foam' is not 'creema', it's 'Crema'
The original line (which are the capsules this machine uses) doesn't. Only the newer centrifugal brewers use that technology.
