college admissions (especially now) are insane, don't let a decision define you because if I learned one thing over this process it is that all of these schools are basically the same thing with minor differences. A particular school won't make you successful, it just brings out the potential people already have. Still not convinced the whole thing isn't rigged lmao thanks for watching!

Here in the UK we can only apply to five universities, so I nearly fell off my chair when you revealed that you had applied to 21 colleges. But then you received numerous acceptances and I thought how tough it must be to take up just one of those acceptances. I'm glad that you chose Notre Dame as it's a nice college and the one I would have selected. Rice would have been my second choice. Well done Kaden. Enjoy your studies and the social life at Notre Dame.
True, but I guess that's more to do with there being less than 200 universities in the UK vs more than 4000 in the US.

How much in college application fees does one need for 21 colleges?
It varies per school but around 50$
This is really cool, I’m glad to see one of these that’s not all just ivies and stuff, especially since my expectations aren’t that high, but great job and I’m glad you were able to find a great school willing to help you out
Bro I’m genuinely happy for u I’m basically going through the same exact thing u went through with the whole ‘not being prepared’ for college admissions thing, I’m also an international student so it’s probably harder. Im going through the same thing with the not applying ed as well because I haven’t had enough time to decide. I don’t feel like ive prepared enough especially for all these extremely selective schools and compared to all the other students who have been preparing since the beginning of high school. I know this process is gonna be stressful but your video genuinely gave me so much hope. I’m so happy for u and thanks for making this vid

Congratulations. I, too, am from West Virginia. It's great to see a fellow Mountaineer apply to selective schools. Nice job, especially on all your scholarships. Carolina is crazy selective for freshman, out-of-state applicants. Best of luck at Notre Dame.

Having graduated from Yale, I can tell you that you are in for a unique and special four years. Notre Dame is a terrific place. Enjoy every minute of it. Hey congrats! I was wondering like what I should start doing as a sophomore so I know I'm eligible for these type of colleges. I'm think about taking 2 AP's sophomore. 5 AP's junior. and 7 senior but I don't think that's what is really going to get me into colleges. I was wondering what type of electives or outside activities that helped you get into these colleges?

Question - is there a reason you didn't apply to the business school - why Economics (BA) and not business school?
@@melissapenn177 Every school that offered a BS in Economics I went that route but for the others (most), I applied with BA because that was the only option. At Notre Dame there is not Econ offered in the Mendoza Business School so I am an Economics BA major but I am doing a double minor in Real Estate (in business school) and Sustainability!

The UCs are not a good choice for out of state applicants with financial need. UCs expect out of state and international applicants to pay the full out of state fee which put cost of attendance above $60,000 a year. In other words, you may get accepted but it never is going to be affordable.
Kaden, did you apply for outside scholarships?
Yes! I did local scholarships in my community and a few region/state ones. There’s a lot of money out there if you look for it!
