    Hey Bill Schmunk! Well done....we have some awesome steelhead fishing up here too. You have more rivers to chose from for sure. Bait button? I'll have to try them if they make it up to the Fraser Valley. I LOVE steelheadin'!

      Not sure the mile marker but he never went up as high as oxbow park. Looks like he went just a few hundred feet above Dabney state park which is great for bank fishing.

    how does the current push on the flat side of the float when the flat side is on the bottom

    • @nskinner0330
      @nskinner0330 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The weight is bouncing off the bottom which slows down and forces the bobber to get pushed from the back by the current.

    Can you use barbed hooks on the Sandy?

    • @rockytalkndawoods3057
      @rockytalkndawoods3057 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, whenever native fish are present and need to be released use barbless.

    If you look at the Oregon regs, bobber dogging is illegal. The regs read "The bobber must suspend the weight, leader, and terminal gear, not allowing it to rest on the river bottom.

    This system is just for guys that don’t know how to drift lead and can’t feel the difference between bottom and fish. I could never watch a float for steelhead, I want to feel the rubber band egg bite thank you very much. To all their own tho.

    I went out with Brandon glass with a friend and his father in law on the sandy river and it was the worst guided trip I’ve ever been on. He was on his phone texting the whole time and talking to friends. The day was super slow so instead of talking with us about fishing and the river he ignored us and actually proceeded to blame Native Americans for why there’s not fish in the water in certain tributaries. He’s definitely not his dad when it comes to guiding and I would definitely NOT recommend him if you want a good fishing guide. Biggest waste of 525$ in my life. Made me think twice about ever using a “guide” again. All he tried was suspended bobbers with beads. We asked about changing up presentations and all he did was move spots. Save your money and go with a knowledgeable guide because Brandon isn’t it.
