It has been said that Nic and Big Dave contributes 80% of the fish for this brood stock program. Thank you so very much. Wilson River steelhead are the hardest fighters I have ever caught. A direct result from this program.
I really want to fish with Big Dave someday. I’ve seen him on and off the river numerous times and he’s always had that same positive energy you see on camera. Nick would be alright to fish with too. 😉
You should definitely fish with Big Dave, my buddy and I fished with him last year for fall Chinook and we had a great time, he definitely showed his positive energy when we fished with him. I got to take home a 20lbs Chinook.
Fished on Tuesday with Dave, yeah.....looked more like August than February, but he put us on the fish anyway. We didn't do as well as the people the day before, but we took one home and put 2 in the tank.
Ok, this video brings up an important question, so let me ask you folks this: are you for or against the practice of purposefully HIDING the name of the river/lake from the viewers? The fine folks at "Addicted" have been religiously doing that for years, as an example. Your thoughts? Do you watch videos to learn great fishing locations - so if they purposefully try hard to keep the river/lake name from you you feel like they are Name Nazis? Or are you perfectly fine with that practice? Peace.
With 500,000 subscribers I agree with it. A fishermans success comes from how much pressure his rivers sees, by keeping the names out it keeps most people away from their fishing spots.
Sadly, it has to be done. The "internet effect" is a thing. You put a spot on one of these videos with a specific location today, tomorrow they'll have to call the cops for traffic control. It kinda drives me crazy too. I'm a trucker, I don't have a ton of time to explore new areas. It would make my limited time outdoors better if I got more information. That said, when I do find someplace to go, I'd rather not share it with half of Portland and Vancouver at the same time.

Yes, David is good people. You will very much enjoy his company and expertise.
Washington state needs this program
best dudes out there!!!
Neat Brood Stock program.
I can relate with the high water Coho season for the mat su valley in Alaska we had flooding conditions. But did well in the shallow slack water .
Envious of your guys! Great video!
I thought it was the BROODstock program not the every fish counts program 😂
Joking! Great video guys!
Kings 👑👑👑
Going to pick my new clack up today, hope to see you guys out on the Wilson in the near future!
It was really good before the water got so low haha now it’s a bit of a grind

Will you guys put me on a Steelhead Trip with y'all
In the high water is scent as good as real bait ?
In high water good scent is an advantage. Watch the episode and you will see they are using scent and bait together. Every little bit helps.
im in northern california and need to get in contact with these guys or someone that can tell me about implementing a broodstock program here!
You can say the fish took it deep or a little slow on the trigger!
Nick P is god
Ye baby 🙄
Great program. No reason to ever kill a Steelhead.
Nick is god
That's not a fly rod....
Wilson
Steelhead etiquette is to never take fish completely out of water. Grips and grins photos are not cool

@@raymonddoerr2523 I can't argue with that.

I thought this was going to be a fly fishing video... I'm out.
Fish hatchery works wonders. Just look at great lakes region. Those guys over there catch stocked fish head over fist every day in every trib.
