Buick Wildcats were very cool looking,badass cars!!! I know,because I owned three, a 64 with the 401 Nailhead with dual exhaust & cherry bombs!!! A 68 with the fastback roof & a 430 engine with dual exhaust, & the most awesome 70 wildcat with a 370 h.p 510 ft. lbs. of torque 455 engine with dual exhaust!!! That 62 looks like it's pretty solid & the interior looks decent!! Go over the body & paint work, rechrome the chrome & get those chrome plated Buick mag style wheels & you'll have a very sweet ride!!! Wildcats were the best Buicks,along with the Rivs!!!
Young guys, pay attention here- The sign board leaning on the front wheel, is a classic example of a car dealer approving an advertisement that's making unrealistic claims. "Sports Car Wallop--Sports Car Handling--Sports Car Styling--Make No Mistake" Really? What sports car does anyone know of that's like this Buick? It's a near luxury car with a powerful engine. And that's what it is. Whenever I walk into a dealership and see an advertisement as stupid as this one is, I know for sure it's a confirmation that they're liars. As a result, instead of the advertisement impressing me about the car, it's actually forewarning me about how the business operates. And what happens from that point on is that anything they say to me is a lie.
The WORST car decision I have ever made in my life was turning down my dad's offer to buy his 1962 Wildcat for $800 because I wanted this POS 1965 Ford Fairlane Sports Coupe with a top loader 4 speed. Neither of us knew they only made 2000 at the time (all two door hardtops BTW). One of the worst decisions HE made was NOT to buy a 1966 Wildcat GS which they only make a few hundred of (talking the GS option) it even had Cruise Control, and every other option. But I kind of made up for it by buying and restoring a 1963 Wildcat two door hardtop and then sold it to my dad. All three cars had A/C, buckets and console and power windows too.
I had one of these back in high school with a 4 speed duel quads 401 only 26 were made . should of kept that thing stupid kid me at the time only paid 600 bucks in 84 for it bit got offered 3000 for it 88 so I sold it . that was crazy money for a car like it then. So I sold it .

My dad owned one of these and I remember riding in it when he floored it , it was fast , had a 425cui. wildcat engine . wonderful car

Totally agree. I have owned 83 cars in my life and I NEVER buy from a dealer. They are either ill-informed or liars or both.
