Always stunned by a nice car without ac. That car has a turbine drive which was Dynaflow before 1960. It was 2 speed, bit didn’t shift. It started in high gear and had two turbines and two stators. Extremely smooth, but a gas guzzler.
That sucks. Someone's pet project and whoever it was either passed away, or lost storage, and it wound up being disposed by someone with no idea how much love and care has already been put into it.
I believe you are correct, the 425 I don't think was available until the next year though, 1963. I did locate the build tag, it's on the cowl but under the hood, you have to have the hood open and be looking near the driver's wiper to see it from outside, not on the firewall and this is for sure a 1962. But yes, the 401 is usually green. Oops! The 401 has what, 325hp and 445 lb-ft, the 425 ups those figures by about 5%. Thanks for watching!

A tragically aborted resto-mod project. That was my thought. The new alternator was the evidence. This should have been built with a DC generator.
