Just finished building the wall and TB2 is set to arrive in September! Super stoked to try out some of the climbs you’ve set! Hoping you continue to set more!
Been so keen to get one of those little ICP walls for a while. "Be with my body up" -- Ondra, La Dura Dura? I probably watch way too many climbing videos that I recognised that right away...
Seeing you froth over the tb2 is making me even more excited for the 12x12 spray layout that is about to be finished in Melbourne! Come check out boulderlab brunswick if you're ever back down, they're going to have a kilterboard homewall too :)
Looking forward to more videos about the tension 2. Once you've had it for a while will you do a comparison video comparing it to various moon sets, kilter or your home board?
@@TomOHalloranAus defo. Reminds us to do the same, and we may get tips on the way so I for one am all for it. If climbing became simplistic I d go back to poney. Save me from the poney.
Agreed on the TB2 being insanely fun - would love if you’d flash my project on it called “A Breath of Flesh Air”. I think it’s likely V6 at 40° and V7 or V8 at 45°. Excited to see more TB2 content! Maybe you could do a video trying to climb your viewers climbs?
I had the chance to try it once and have to say the holds look beautiful and feel amazing and I really, really enjoyed it. Only thing that feels wrong is stepping on wood 🤔
Looking at buying a Tb2 myself Can I ask where you brought it from? Did you go direct to tension? I’m lucky enough to have the room for a 12x12 (if I can afford it😂) Love you videos by the way keep it up
Kilter home is awesome. But I was a little more excited for this one. Felt like potential for good variety in movement, holds, texture etc. Not disappointed.
Hello Tom, I only have space in my basement for the 10x8 feet and 45° steep Kilterboard. Is the 10x8 feet enough to train? I've only trained on the 12x12 feet so far... Or would you recommend that I save the money and go to the gym?
The 2024 Moon Board IS a big upgrade and change from previous versions, so I'm curious to hear how you get on with it in comparison. Having climbed the TB2 and 2024, I like both-they're just very different. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Would love have a tb2. Haven't tried one but by the looks of it it strikes a nice balance holdwise between the kilter and mb. The price on the kilter and tb holds, however, is mental. I have a mini moonboard and absolutely love it, cost me 1600€ for the holds+ construction materials. Even the mb holds are expensive compared to buiding a spraywall. You could buy three No led mini moonboards with the price of only the holds on tb2 without leds. Heck you could buy the sets for a 2024 and 2016 set and still have 1300€ for construction costs 😂 If you have the money then why not 👍 looking forward to more videos with the tb. I really enjoy your content
Totally hear you on price. That's an enormous factor. But I really think this board is on a whole other level for quality compared to moonboard (having not tried 2024). It's actually worth the money difference. I'm very keen to explain all in an upcoming video, because I have a lot to say on it :)
Dude awesome timing, I literally just ordered the 8x12 tb2 crop for the garage. I'm blessed with lots of local gyms with the setup since i'm close to denver where tension is based, but decided we wanted our own as well. Did you consider putting it up in the mirror layout? Or did you think the variety would be too lacking?
Haha rad! That'll be awesome to have in the garage. There's just something about having it all to yourself. Yes, felt like 8x10 mirror was going to feel way to similare everywhere. if we did 10x10, i'd have consider mirror much much more.
Psyyyyched! Looks ace! Really hoping to run into one on my travels here in the US. There seems to be a sweet spot angle wise between boards (Moon is fixed @40, Kilter seems to be great at 50, climbed on a Decoy think that’s closer to 40/45. How’s this one? Think 45 is it’s ideal angle?
45 feels like an awesome angle. The right balance of steepness for the holds. 50 would feel very hard and less steep would feel limiting for difficulty for me I think
We got this one on loan from the importer ICP. But honestly, we were looking at buying one before that. There’s a lot to say on moon v kilter v tension etc. video to come with all that explained.
@@harrisonsmith6687 I'm in Australia and the wall and holds here will be $20k AUD ($13k USD). Could build my own fixed wall and just buy holds for around $10k AUD ($7k USD) as you suggest though.
Hahahaha hubby rolling around in intense pain ‘you should’ve listened to me’ classic. But she’s not wrong
😂 30minutes early I say, ‘nah it’ll be fine. Just leave it there. I couldn’t be bothered moving it.’ Took 5 days to be able to walk without pain 😂😂
Nope :-) I was very right. And it is now where I said it should be 😂
Really great video, Tom! We're psyched you're digging your TB2. We'll have to send you a list of fresh projects! Cheers 👊
100% down for some recommendations. I’ve been beginning the journey into the projects in the last session. Plus some setting 😀. Very psycjed
You guys are living the dream
It's a fun setup :)
Would love to see a comparing tension 2 classics like you did with the moonboard!
Very keen for that for sure
Awesome video Tom! We're glad you like the Tension Board 2 on the ICP Home, we can't wait to see what else you will film on this!
So psyched on it guys. Thank you. Can't wait to dive deeper and share more froth for it :)
Just finished building the wall and TB2 is set to arrive in September!

Rad!!! I’m always excited when I hear someone gets one. Let me know what you think of my sets 😀
You frother. I appreciate you self control and ability to walk away! Have so much fun!
Haha it took a lot to walk away :). Enjoying it too much. Many many more sessions to come
Love seeing someone else with the 10x8 spray layout! Great board, so happy to see that the community is growing :)
I'm frothing it hard. keen to dig into the setting and exploring deeper.
Best systemboard on the planet! Amazing that you own one!
Also i love the mundakas!
It really is!! Proper incredible.
Very cool indeed. Makes me want to get one myself.
It is so incredibly worth it
Been so keen to get one of those little ICP walls for a while.
"Be with my body up" -- Ondra, La Dura Dura? I probably watch way too many climbing videos that I recognised that right away...
Haha nailed it! One of my favourite Ondra-isms.
I've always wanted to try the TB2 to compare the grading to kilter and moon board!
Ahhh don't think too hard on the grades. So long as the climbing is good and the moves feel hard, you're on a winner :)
So sick Tom! I'm planning on building an adjustable wall and putting in a TB2 next year (hopefully) or the year after. I can't wait!
Awesome! Make it happen! :)
I’m psyched for you man! My gym just put in a Tb2 spray as well, such a great board
Rad! It’s so good hey. I’m blown away by it
Where’s that?
I have a similar set up but with the TB1 on the ICP home wall. So much fun !
Rad, I never spent much time on the TB1. Will need to check it out sometime
This is sweet! I'd love to see some setting from you on the spray layout as the crop needs lots more problems of all grades.
I’ve started to get into the setting now. Lots of potential on the board
I love the set up and whoever's filming: This is really cool shots
Set up is very fun. I was filming my partner Amanda and she was filming me. Until she went for a run and I employed the tripod :)

Very keen to try the full mega size. Been chatting a little with Pat about it. Can't imagine how good a massive version of this would be!
Looking forward to more videos about the tension 2. Once you've had it for a while will you do a comparison video comparing it to various moon sets, kilter or your home board?
100% keen on that for sure. Keen to try them all out again and dive deep into thoughts/experience etc
Really cool. Loved the on the fly analysis/beta reflexions.
ahh awesome, I'm never sure if they add much for folk. But hope there could be something of value there for at least one :)

it looks so rad, red miso looks so cool to climb on, i think i would struggle to put my feet on the wooden holds haha
Haha it hurts me everytime. It takes a moment to think, 'oh yeah, that's fine. i can stand on it.'
This was awesome - more TB2!
Be prepared. There’s a tsunami of TB2 coming your way 😀
great decision mate! TB is the best board around!
So dang good!
so stoked for you! this is my absolute favorite board, although im not nearly as strong as you are!
Totally with you on the favourite board front. Best LED board I've used

Rad! 100% worth it. I got this through ICP who was the Australian importer
Nice! Have you considered kilter home as well? And if yes curious what were your reasons for going TB2
Kilter home is awesome. But I was a little more excited for this one. Felt like potential for good variety in movement, holds, texture etc. Not disappointed.
I'd love to see you set some boulders on this. Ideally showcase the best ones in a video
For sure. As I dive deeper into the board I’ll get more into setting and share what I come up with 😀
yesss we need more 10x8 spray soldiers!
I'm fully in the ranks. Loving it!

It's about 30cm
