Personally for me, the biggest deal breaker for some customers is definitely the 60:40 split as they would find themselves carrying longer items to fit in the car a few times in a year. If that's the case then Honda City is clearly a better choice. Being a 7 weeks owner of new Vios, I can say that oil consumption is around 8km/l, which is much less compared official result which is 19.2km/l. To conclude, need to petrol station more often. ==
Aiyo, you really believe those official fuel consumption meh...they used controlled environment, very optimal road and traffic condition and result that are not possible for everyday drive. Happened to ALL other brands official result. Depends on your driving style, road traffic condition, road condition, etc. My old city published 21km/l, die die I can only achieve 15km/l that is on highway drive most of time with minimal traffic and less brake usage. Unless you want to stay near highway, work near highway and out of traffic jam in small town. My 2011 persona can consistently get 10-12 km/h average on mostly 60% highway drive, so its your personal driving style, road condition, highway drive, traffic conditions that pull you down to 8km/l. If you drive short drive, lots of brake and go and in heavy traffic city all the time, then its normal to get 8km/l
I think I would rather have folded seats instead, but it’s true that I myself don’t use it that often but there are those rare times when you need it, but not a big issue if you plan it and just use another bigger car or one with foldable sits for that occasion. For the spare tyre part I think it’s like a 50/50 for me, would like to have a spare tyre but not having it gives more compartment storage and reduced weight, need to identify how well the tire repair kit does

Rm 100k for that standard?
Mmg betul foldable rear seat tak pakai selalu. But when you needed it the most, youre going to have a bad time. Fitting thicker seat for comfort? Yeah good luck with that 1cm head room and yuuuge center bump. Comfort my arse. Also that rear design really looks like Preve 😂
its such a professional review, highlight every good and bad. unlike JRS0ng yang TERPALING PAKAR VIOS owner, i commented saying he is too "used" to his old vios so everything about the new vios he also complaints. but his ego says hes right and im wrong. On point for the tuning explanation, totally not the car downgraded it just a tuning for a more comfortable ride.
I wonder is there after market to replace the piano black above the headlight across just under the bonnet to LED. And also the black piece between the rear light with red LED.That will lock very futuristic
I would still get the Axia, save myself 40k ringgit. no spare wheel and no folding rear seats just seem impractical, the other flourishes are just forgettable, wireless apple car play just a gimmick. or maybe I'm just cheap
I remember toyota just launched "all new" vios just less than 5 years ago... So soon they launched another "all new" before the previous gen matured...
I must say the exterior is an upgrade but inside is a downgrade which I see it as weird cause it seems simple enough to put previous addition into the new one instead of removing it.
I hope getting a repair kit instead of a spare tyre does not become a norm. If you’re having a flat tyre on Malaysia’s B road it’ll most probably caused by a tear from pothole, repair kit cant fix that.
I just can't get past the shared parts with perodua. Especially the interior where one can notice it immediately. Making this vios looks and feels cheap
The lazy delay response can be negated by switching off the vsa and traction control..it will be very responsive. Push to s mode it’s even faster. The suspension may have extensive body roll, but when you corner hard you feel it’s much stable than older vios. Fc is also good.
It feels silly of me to even consider that maybe any perodua can use the vios parts. Imagine that the new axia only need ecu tuning and install the vios paddle shifter to even have a faux-semi automatic transmission.
Excellent review. Just to highlights another few premium touch that previous Vios have, glove box slow opening and rear arm rest! Buka glove box Vios baru terus feel Perodua
Those who complain the new Vios here and there are likely people who not afford to buy one or City owner. On the road now the new registered Vios is getting more as I see the new vios is on the road now around KL and Selangor area. Toyota DNGA models not good? The 1st half total sales is 48k units while Honda is about 34k units. Vios start selling in Q2 and with this model add on the gap will be bigger.
Veloz is more valuable car at that price point. justifies its 8 months waiting period. younger gen needs space for their lifestyle - outdoor activities. I've been told both Alza/Veloz bookings are made by people starting from their 20's (even single person). T has to rethink on their target market for this expensive Vios. T cannot depend on Ricer boy segment only. personally i think UMW had screwed up (as always)
Im gonne be a carmudgeon and say, of course it reminds of a bmw. The city looks like a bmw. When the vios looks like a honda, put two and two and it goes that the vios look like a bmw.

so might as well take those features out eh? Since you don't use it before or often..
airbags also not needed, cuz you don't crash often. take them out, cut the cost down, then car will be cheaper .. lol..
For a car close to RM 100k, no spare tyre and folding seats on the pretense to make it lighter and handles better are just bullshit to me..
plus the moving centre console.. omg.. Rm 100k for that standard?
Bro, where you buy the batik shirt? Looks good
Hahah this one is from Ted Baker, not batik bro. But my other batik shirts are from Kapten Batik
@@hafrizshah4937 yesss thank you haha
Mmg betul foldable rear seat tak pakai selalu. But when you needed it the most, youre going to have a bad time. Fitting thicker seat for comfort? Yeah good luck with that 1cm head room and yuuuge center bump. Comfort my arse.
Also that rear design really looks like Preve 😂
22:56 any plans to implement acceleration tests using measuring instruments in reviews to be more definitive?
No need la. Anyhow also lose to myvi and city 😂
B segment not designed for fast acceleration
Headlamps and Front Grille borrowed from Corolla Altis and Tailamps borrowed from Camry.
The head light is similar to Toyota camry but have to be more sharper and back lights also have to be the same as Toyota camry too.
its such a professional review, highlight every good and bad. unlike JRS0ng yang TERPALING PAKAR VIOS owner, i commented saying he is too "used" to his old vios so everything about the new vios he also complaints. but his ego says hes right and im wrong. On point for the tuning explanation, totally not the car downgraded it just a tuning for a more comfortable ride.
Hope that Toyota will produce a GR-S version of this Vios.
man! yr review are truly detailed👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Personally cant get past the back seats, axia interior and "64 color ambient light !!!" For 95k
really? old vios took 15sec 0 to 100km/h. which vios you use?
I remember toyota just launched "all new" vios just less than 5 years ago... So soon they launched another "all new" before the previous gen matured...
The 5 years ago all new Vios although was all new, it used exactly the same platform as the previous generation Vios.
I must say the exterior is an upgrade but inside is a downgrade which I see it as weird cause it seems simple enough to put previous addition into the new one instead of removing it.
iam surprise too..for this current gen of cars.
I am looking at this vs Proton X50, need some advice here.
I hope getting a repair kit instead of a spare tyre does not become a norm.
If you’re having a flat tyre on Malaysia’s B road it’ll most probably caused by a tear from pothole, repair kit cant fix that.
You mean Malaysia should not move on EV era? Bcoz all EV cars do not come with spare tyre.
No spare tyre..
How come, please Toyota Malaysia, explained??
I just can't get past the shared parts with perodua. Especially the interior where one can notice it immediately. Making this vios looks and feels cheap
The lazy delay response can be negated by switching off the vsa and traction control..it will be very responsive. Push to s mode it’s even faster. The suspension may have extensive body roll, but when you corner hard you feel it’s much stable than older vios. Fc is also good.
why this model Vios is not available in India?
It feels silly of me to even consider that maybe any perodua can use the vios parts. Imagine that the new axia only need ecu tuning and install the vios paddle shifter to even have a faux-semi automatic transmission.
Not to mention the new Daihatsu safety scandal. Can skip this car
The ACC is all speed and stop and go? I though only works from 30km/h above like Veloz
ACC is 30 and above same as Veloz. only Altis and CKD Corolla Cross can do low speed follow
Veloz and Vios has stop n go function. Alza too
Any news when will the new Honda City facelift will launch?
The best review so far🎉
Yaris Ativ has been temporarily remove from Thai website
This car or city? Still cant make my decision.
18:14 I knew ittt .. the 138 nm torque sounds too familiar
Excellent review. Just to highlights another few premium touch that previous Vios have, glove box slow opening and rear arm rest!
Buka glove box Vios baru terus feel Perodua
no visor mirror yeah too much
Vios G vs City V sensing comparo please boss 👍👍😊😊
This should replace Corolla Cross in South Africa .
Harap boleh ulas isu parking oku. Sy as driver oku selalu tak dapat parking sebab orang normal guna suka hati.
Did any possible ways that UMW pays for this review?? Or just give us the GAZOO versions sooner!!
Are disc brakes better than drum brakes?
Of course for emergency brake and daily run too, but need to consider the maintenance as well.
just a glorified p2 product...i dont understand this type of rebadging..it just cheapens the whole product...
Not rebadging la. Kerjasama 3 brand. Kos murah. Masing2 tweak ikut selera masing2
@@FATEH2708 the consumer yg kena tanggung cost-cutting gabung chassis ni, to the point it's unacceptable lah
@@truthurts704 harapan nya bila dah Daihatsu buat kos turun. Nah kau dekat 100K harga Vios. 😂
@@FATEH2708 if kerjasama can cut the cost down but it’s more expensive than predecessor. What’s the purpose of working together after all.
pendek kata, Toyota can earn more.
A spare tire is a basic necessity. How can Toyota leave that out?
Pls review vios e spec 2023..
Im gonne be a carmudgeon and say, of course it reminds of a bmw. The city looks like a bmw. When the vios looks like a honda, put two and two and it goes that the vios look like a bmw.
I am just waiting for the day when Toyota can make A Vios that Honda City owners say I am selling my Honda City and upgrading to a Toyota Vios.
Nope, Toyota Vios always play catchup to Honda City
How about this with the Almera turbo? In terms of driving feel
rear seats can't fold? that's pretty bad.
Not a fan of vios from the beginning. Came in to see how it failed miserably compared to City in every corners from day one. From design to performance. But many die hard fan will still buy this super boring car. Unbelievable
Reliability ma
electric parking brake & rear disc brakes for vios, 60:40 split and spare tyre for city, and these two around 95k +/- 😅
Design dia memang padu!
no matter what, i will still call it perodua vios
No spare wheel. Long distance traval. Burst tyte. how????
you dont know about indonesia. Many people willing to help car puncture tyre. Malaysia no.WE just call amechanic to change at road side RM 50
side view of yaris ative looks like civic or city
Early squad!
Me me
Vios ni follow dari belakang nampak lebar. Saiz nampak mcm lebih besar dari vios lain
Cockpit design looks like in a sports car.
Philippines still have the old design. Philippines is always behind …
How do u manage to do 16 or 17km/L? As I only best as 12.3Km/l🤣
Through my daily route. A week, over 400 km, that's what I got.
Why he does not include new Almera in this comparison...does Almera surpass all the quality from vios and city?...
20:55 put some lip balm or drink some water bro.. talk until air liur meleleh
Rear passenger get in with hair cream and get out without hair cream 😂
Haha he mentioned Jr Song review
Full LED Tail Lights
Design look like cotton box ...vios 2022 look wonderful design
12.5 seconds to 100kmh? Bloody slow worse than a Proton lol
The infotainment screen look ugly
