The PCA have some of the most advanced technology of all factions in ACVI. But if the PCA is just one bureaucratic branch of some larger Galactic Government, then that larger government might have like Gundam-tier tech out there.
its kind of like how combine in half life are not a military and a police force with thier military so unimaginably powerfull that none would hope to defeat
My theory on why we beat the pca in AC6 is due to the fact the pilots the pca employs are trained via simulations on outdated data they gathered on enemy craft they encountered (like how the cataphract pilot had a panic attack when the data he was using for nightfall raven didnt match us, 621 raven). Not to mention all unmanned combat crafts they created have predictable attack patterns (baltaeus, sea spider, etc.) much like ACVD's UNAC's. However they simulations don't cover the unpredicable nature of on the fly combat adaption that AC mercanaries are capable of...
Like it and let's be honest there is truth to it. As you say the PCA rely on the system to feed them information about thier foes. And yes there is nothing like the real thing, simulation maybe be helpful but its the skill of a pilot that could be the different between life or death.
I take this in a slightly different perspective. I don't think the PCA has simulation data for every mercenary in the roster: Nightfall and Raven are just special cases because they're an exceptional level threat. The Cataphract pilot was confused because 621 wasn't Raven, but we can also see he was competant enough to realize the difference and engage anyways. Other cases also show the PCA officers being pretty flexible and they never mention a 'simulation' besides Raven. For instance, the HC + LC duo that 621 engages with Rusty only identifies the two after engaging, not having some pre-inputed information about their combat data. The PCA does heavily rely on the system for analysis and tactical decisions, but I don't think this is a reason to lowball the competence of PCA pilots.
Archtyi has a point. PCA having data on and plans to deal with Rubicon's top pilots is sign that they are doing their job well. They were doing well until Acabus and Balen joined forces, and hired the best merc on the planet. That is 2 private armies against 1 who was winning.
@@maximedaunis8292 I think the AI might be behind one of the problems the PCA have, they always seem to try and use "just enough" in what might be an attempt at efficiency, sending matched forces to deal with threats rather than a crushing overmatch. Like sending two or three LC/HC to fight a single mercenary, one Cataphract for one AC, one Cataphract and elite LC and HC for a pair of ACs, just one Enforcer roaming the Watchpoint and such. Like someone or something in command wants to dedicate as few resources as possible to each task, which might be wise in most degrees but they let the situation escalate by taking that too far instead of focusing on a threat and smashing it.
Its is really, The freighters where very effective in ac2. I mean they came, saw and conquered the planet. That being said the PCA certainly were no slackers just maybe outmanned. Maybe more government secret squads in dlc ha ha
The PCA gave a good impression of starting to look like the main antagonist at the start of the game. It is unfortunate that they did not do anything to product their own parts for ACs. It is like they have a beef with ACs.
They actually do. Throughout the game, they were pretty much disparaging ACs as inferior to their cavalry units hence why they don't have AC parts. It's unfortunate because they have some really cool weapons
While it is a shame because we don;t get the cool parts. As gauntrodimm5974 said the pca had this mindset their cavalry units surpassed the average armored core which they could and if the pilots where better and 621 did not have super protag powers, i think the pca would have stood a chance.
@@gaunterodimm5974easy solution to that is another company "borrows" the schematics or Carla's faction/ similar group of junkers make home made versions of pca weapons
@@gaunterodimm5974and if 621 wasnt the ace pilot of ace pilots then yeah against a regular ass pilot in a average build is probably go bet on the cavalry units too
Neat behinds the scenes fact: a good number of designs in AC6 are inspired by Gundam designs, with a number of Gundam’s original artists working on the design team. One of the best examples is the PCA Heavy Cavalry units as they have the same vents you can find on the original RX-78-2 Gundam. Another neat fact is that many of Armored Core’s original artists returned for AC6 as well, offering their own legacy component to the design with the HC’s back thrusters resembling those on Nineball Seraph.
Handheld shield perhaps Or solid shield where you can tap attack to activate blocking & hold attack to use it as shield bash/crash Btw, we have shield crash in elden ring 😂
The most interesting thing about the PCA AI is that in it's dying breath (when the power core is about to self destruct at depths 3), it goes on to mention that Raven is a threat to "Institute Closure". This makes me believe that PCA was never about Planetary Closure, but instead about Institute Closure, led by an AI which was surely augumented by coral, same as ALLMIND. What are your thoughts on this?
My thought is i think they are all linked. Perhaps the pca thought at first they only needed an institute closure in place to prevent another fire. However as they did further surveys and found that coral was spreading around the planet in the blind spots this forced thier hand to have to expand to closing the planet off completely. As they now had to construct watchpoints which lead to more resources and forces having to be used, so it was better to put a closure system in place to be able to pull back some of these forces.
Imagine the Coral was actually trying to keep itself safe by manipulating humans into doing it for it. Like how the Worm and IBIS were taken over by Coral, the AI is corrupted and a mutated Coral wavelength now controls an army to ward off others who would genocide its people.
They're a bigger, meaner LCC in so many ways. Since we're getting model kits in Bandai's 30MM line, I really hope that includes the CAVALRY series and their special-forces units like the EKDROMOI and CATAPHRACT.
The PCA look down on AC mechs as cobbled together, Frankenstein builds. Where as the Calvary units are a more purpose built " complimentary parts" setup. Kinda how some people look down on modded cars cause they arent using OEM parts or people who look down on rifles that pieced together by different manufacturers and not an all parts, serial numbers matching build. Thats how it came across to me
That is pretty much how it seems to be. Granted some pilots have thier head screwed on and can see no matter what they pilot its going to be one heck of a fight with an ac. But others very much have this idea they are better then mercenaries and corporation armored cores.
At long last, these badboys are the reason I preodered this game. Granted I was anyway because its Armored Core but the designs the PCA brings is only the best! Still holding on to hope that they release the Cataphract and the other MTs as selectable parts for an AC!
They are pretty dam cool. I mean i think its the first time i would say I'd like to be part of a government force in an armored core universe. PCA parts would be cool maybe something after thier tech get taken by arquebus.
I have a story to tell. Me and by brother actually had a debate about the stupidest thing one time. Which would win in a fight: a fully kitted AC, or a fully kitted Gundam? It went on and on for a while between all the different crap that eact side could pull out, and we eventually landed on it depending on who the pilot was and if the AC was a NEXT or not, because despite gundams being bigger than an AC on adverage, Rubicon and Gen 4 AC's constantly destroy things many times bigger than themselves on the regular by themselves in most cases. The reason I share this story is because the fight between the PCA and Rubicon can best be described as Gundams VS Armored Cores, with hate mail.
I like the story and the problem i always have with cross over fight is different setting, different people, different ideas there is so much to consider. The famous super man vs goku fight always come to mind when i think about different fictional characters fighting.
@@armoredcoreloreyeah, we ran into that problem too. We both had to agree to not bring pilots or outside factors into it just to get a look at which suit would beat the other. It started getting out of hand and overall absurd once "Overed Weapons" got involved so it ended shortly after that. Really though, it was just a one-off I thought I'd share considering the designers of the PCA gear, and the noticeable difference between the PCA weapons and ACs.
@@johnprice6271 Appreciate the share =) as i now read other comment it seems the game had an artist who worked on gundam 00. So i can see the gundam vs ac more and more i look.
Somewhat unrelated but I noticed someone made a mod where you can buy the parts of the Sol 644 final boss and now I have hope that we can get PCA LC and HC parts and weapons too. I love their Mechs but it kills me that we can't even have access to their weapons in the game after defeating them.
To be fair the PCA equipment is much bigger than AC equipment, and most likely incompatible with AC arms and shoulders. The same way we cannot use mass-produced MT equipment which is also completely separate from AC stuff
@@kevingame3198 that's the one I'm talking about, the black and green one. There's a mod out about it I think it's connected somehow to the nu Gundam mod, but it doesn't have any of the boss weapons.
I assume they’re talking about AC6 armoury, as it has AC-compatible equivalents of the IBIS series’ weapons, including ALLMIND’s equivalent of the SOL-644.
i wish there were more grab attacks in AC6, i think there are less than 10, half of them being some variation of PCA "lance" technology, Ayre and the Enforcer have some really cool looking grabs
I never felt more disrespected by any other faction in armored core 6 than by the PCA losing that fight against them with rusty before the ice worm shows up and the fight against them at the gas destroying mission when they called me pathetic pissed me off so hard lol
The one PCA Warrant Officer in the dam-like mission gave off massive killjoy federal agent energy. That and the BS shield ramming, pulse guns did absolutely nothing to that shied and the fact that can constantly keep it up is beyond irritating.
i feel bad about the PCA men and women who died in the war there family would never see there love ones come back alive all because of evil corps being greedy
4:34 Actually, Kate Markson's dialogue in "Obstruct Mandatory Inspection" indicates that the PCA was never content with the situation and in fact had already deployed the suppression fleet to reinforce its garrison on Rubicon III even before you blew up the watchpoint. It's just bad luck that you managed to destroy the watchpoint and identify the general location of the convergence before it could actually arrive. The forces fought at the arsenal were just scouts sent ahead of the fleet it self
Again the problem i have with that is 621 might have never taken this mission. We know you can't to do this mission on the first run of the game so we again fall into that different timeline aspect like with acfa.
@@armoredcoreloreI don't think so I think it's just you don't learn that information in the other timelines since allmind/Kate were the only ones even the corps don't know showing how much the pca/who they work with control to cover up the fleets arrival
@@azeria1 I think its going to come down to what we think happened. As i think this inspection never happened in the other time lines. Instead allmind took over the two arsenals since they were also collecting the coral. I say this because of the baws guard arsenal recording showing the baws guard being attacked by an unknown force and the other report Baws arsenal no2 that shows an interference in the recording of the arsenal from a camera. from a craft which was station in the past at arsenal two. The presence of Ghost. That being said is it possible for allmind to have done all this and then fought off the pca scouts before covering it up? Sure and that is ac history in a nut shell, sometimes clear and other times has different ways it could have happened.
@@theneef174 Sure but the issue of obtaining the knowledge that the event even happened with the pca (at the moment) is because 621 was there. Its a narrow view point from one source and unless we get other sources to back up this pca attack happened that is not 621 i feel we're only seeing one side of the story.
Honestly the PCA is a scary force. I mean a government organization that can unify all factions on Rubicon. Most likely this was just a shakedown fleet and more could be on their way. Maybe for the next title we get to play as a PCA pilot.
It does sound like it after all Walter and the corporations certainly sounded scared of the pca forces when they arrived on Rubicon 3. Then again this is a case of such a cool idea and very little lore to go with them, i hope for some DLC too maybe as a mercenary who ended up working for the PCA to fill thier number since the coral war cut thier numbers.
if we ever get dlc for AC6, i really hope we get access to PCA parts and weapons for our ACs because they all have such a unique style to them! especially the ekdromai's weapons and parts, they really are super unique compare to a lot of the other parts in the game.
No I think it was because of killing the Sea Spider, as Walter specifically mentions him and 621 stirring the hornets nest or something along those lines
@christopherlyndsay8611 We inform 621 that the suppression fleet is coming to Rubicon through Kate Markson. This is before the destruction of the Sea Spider.
Well the issue there is 621 got to take three bites of the magical time warping apple. Otherwise no one would be the wiser and in truth since 621 can't take this mission on the first go we tread into different timelines which could mean different points of the pca launching thier fleet. Either way i should have brought up the timeline differences, so i appreciate the comment.
I can understand why PCA Calvary machines are supposed to be better then ACs but... the scrap pile of them I left them would say other wise. Personally overwhelming signle AC would be reasonable idea but honestly PCA gonna need thier own Raven rather than thin armor tech cans.
PCA Cavalry machines are all standardised vehicles for their grunts. Against the regular AC pilot fresh out of graduation (and missed getting thrashed by 621 for lunch money), they will absolutely overwhelm them. However, ACs have an advantage over PCA machines in their modularity, which allows them to be customised to suit the needs of individual pilots. In the hands of an experienced AC pilot, this advantage can be magnified beyond what a PCA grunt can handle. Imagine having to fight against a beefy all-firepower AC with defenses so hard it takes a C-Weapon to crack one day, and having to fight against a highly mobile sniper who keeps getting away with speeds far exceeding what a LC could handle the next. That's what the PCA struggles with. Which is why the likes of Raven (the original), 621 and Rusty gave them so much trouble. A finely tuned AC customised to suit the exact piloting style of an ace pilot is a nightmare for those who spend most of their time running simulations in the barracks while awaiting their deployment orders.
Yes it is a little disappointing. I admit with what little knowledge i have on ships it does seem odd that taking out a command bridge would sink or destroy a whole ship. I am sure there are many factors i am not aware of however it just seems odd.
The Rubiconians and the PCA has an extremely unique relationship that I couldn't hope to interpret, all I can note is that they aren't at war with each other despite the skirmishing going on, as seen in Illegal Entry. Despite the aggressive acts the PCA only views The Wall as a problem when the Rubiconians lose it, and never make the connection that the RLF is using you to destroy their technology, keeping the Coral secret and in the wild is what binds these two factions together. That said, I did notice what looked to be a miniature Cataphract at the start of the mission where you're tasked with destroying the Strider. I suppose things were a bit more heated than the above paragraph indicates, as the RLF went on to find the weakness of an actual Cataphract.
While i do agree the PCA and the Front certain have a different relationship then most. I think and this is my personal thoughts that the PCA would attack the front if they got in thier way, otherwise i think the pca was happy to let them be as they were not really a threat to them and in fact could act as more defences against the corporations and those seeking out coral.
I think a lot of people are misinterperting the relation between the PCA and the RLF to be 'relatively chill'. If you think about it, their relationship is fairly obvious. The events of AC6 take place as the interstellar corporations of Arquebus and Balam have recently entered Rubicon and started poking around to find Coral. The focus in this sentence is 'recently'. As many of the evidence shows, the RLF has been formed WAY before the events of AC6. So, before the two Corporations have entered Rubicon, who exactly would the RLF have been fighting against? Who would they have been liberating theirselves from? And if that's not enough, it's written crystal clear in Index Dunham's Arena entry: "he is now dedicated to establishing symbiosis with the Coral and building a future for Rubicon FREE FROM PLANETARY CLOSURE, inspired by Father Dolmayan's ideals". The RLF itself was formed BECAUSE of the PCA. Their main objective is to defeat the PCA and liberate themselves from planetary closure. Arquebus and Balam are just urgent problems. The PCA is the RLF's arch-nemesis. Of course the problem of how much resources the RLF actually has to launch attacks against the PCA, and how much of a threat the PCA views the RLF is probably a different story, but I don't think they're 'aren't at war'. Besides, it is highly likely that it was the PCA who destroyed the Strider in NG++ as the PCA was the only faction that had access to RRI weapons at the time.
@@arkhtyi9456 It's ALLMIND who sends those Coral Drone MTs and HELIANTHUS machines to destroy the Strider. In NG++ it is eliminating all opposing factions that could disrupt the "Coral Release" project, RLF included.
@@natethegreat7967 That's what a lot of people seem to have understood because all NG++ missions are related to Allmind's conspiracy, but the evidence says otherwise. - As I mentioned already, Allmind did not have access to C-weapons we see in that mission, at least not at that phase of the game. All C-weapons made by the RRI were under the control of the PCA at the time. - Allmind never used such C-weapons when she did any direct action herself. She only used the Ghost MTs or cooperating mercs(Sulla, Kate, O'Keef, 621). - Whenever Allmind did do any direct action, she made sure that they were low profile and left as little traces behind, like how the Ghost MTs would leave little to no witnesses(yes, this was thwarted by 621 a number of times, but that was because of 621 having plot armor, not because Allmind was trying to be any less careful), or how she made it look like the job was some attack by a independant mercenary where the client could've been anyone. Destroying the Strider would be WAY too high-profile as it was a symbol of the RLF and there's proof that the PCA was trying to destroy it fairly recently(The wreck of the Cataphract-like tank in the map). If Allmind destroyed the Strider at that timing, it would've been raised so much suspiscion. -In the hidden documents and such, it is fairly well documented and hinted on what exactly Allmind did and felt the need to do to make her conspiracy plan work. Things like the necessity of Sulla, needing to thwart the development of the Alba frame and things like that were all mentioned, but there is not a single line mentioning that she felt the need to destroy the Strider specifically. Absence of evidence doesn't prove the absence of action, but I would imagine destroying such a high-profile target would've warrent at least a mention or an explanation of justification. It makes much more sense that it was the PCA that sent those C-weapons to destroy the Strider, since it was probably a considerable pain to them and the PCA had not deployed a sizeable reactionary force that we see in the start of chapter 3 yet. It makes sense they sent unmanned, high performing C-weapons to get the job done while minimalizing their loses. It also aligns with the PCA's tactical escalation we see ingame. It's usually basic ground troops(SG MTs, low level LCs) to more elite unites(Ekdromoi, HC/High level LCs, Cataphract) and then C-weapons. The Strider was obviously no match for SG units, and we see evidence that it also destroyed a Cataphract(-like), so it makes sense they escalated to resort to C-weapons.
This game is great and has a very interesting political story. After all my playthroughs into the game, to me it really feels like the PCA are the closest you have to the actual "good guys" in this story. Yeah, you have the Liberation Front and your average Rubiconian who probably feels like they're being oppressed with the lockdown from the closure of the planet, but we're talking about a resource that in the past burned up a whole swath of a star system. Their individual suffering kind of is irrelevant in the larger scope. Us, the other mercs, Branch, Observers, and the Corpos just kind of roll in and bust the gates open with little to no regard for the massive loss of life on a grand scale due to our actions. The Observers only having slightly understandable moral motivation, believing the best thing for the galaxy is to wipe the Coral out; but even that end means again lighting up a huge part of the star system once more. In the end they kind of come off more as an anarchy terrorist group than Coral conservationists, or as bad faith protestors. Even though the Fires of Raven ending is technically branded as an Observers win, it's really kind of a PCA win because the results of it cause the galactic governments to ban access to Rubicon again; so it sort of places the story in a reset where the PCA or another PCA-like group goes in to enforce another travel embargo; so why didn't the Observers just collude with the PCA in the first place really?
Because the Overseers were extremists that believe all Coral should be destroyed, not preserved and watched like how the PCA does. Which is something the PCA would obviously not allow.
They certainly could be seen as the good guys, but i guess it which side you look from. As said the residents and business of Rubicon 3 suffered heavily from pca actions as for why they did not work with the observers @Arkhyyi9456 really hit home. The group was watching the coral however if it looked like it would once again be used like 50 years ago they made a promise to destroy it. The Pca was happy to lock it away and try to contain it after all they saw it as a threat to thier way of life. That being said you can be sure the pca also had an interest in it, after all someone in thier would have wanted to use it.
@@therandomlaniusedward2140 They did including the ice worm. And i imagine within the PCA there was people who wanted to use coral but we never really saw the whole government. So i think the use of the c weapons was there as an extra defence but it would not surprise me that this government was testing the water with coral.
I notice that Light Cavalry has similar moves to a humanoid jump MT enemy that appeared in AC Nexus Revolution Disc. They jump and fly a lot but the LC has a more variety and more powerful weapons load out. Maybe FROM take that MT design and improves it for LC
It's a shame that after the defeat of the PCA we didn't have the chance to use modified parts of the PCA tech I'm mean sure I understand not be able to use a full HC but maybe some Head piece build from the scrap or something Even having access to one or two weapons Arquebus absorb the PCA tech and there is a mission where we steal info from down PCA technology and sold it to the corps and the RLF It would have made sense that the corporations or maybe RaD create new stuff based on the PCA aircrafts and others vehicles. If there is a DLC or a new game I really hope we get the chance to use an AC created using the tech and design of PCA Calvary units
Its is shame. As you say we find a HC/LC design document in the mission with aye who even say this could change the balance of power if corporation got it and arquebus just had the tech right in thier hands. But maybe fromsoftware will give us some part that arquebus made after fiddling with the pca tech. I mean they messed around with the baltaus and the LC's.
I think by this time armored cores are considered older tech used mostly by independents because of their customization. The PCA uses HC and LC units instead because in a large military force it’s more important to have units be standardized among their soldiers.
@@anthonywalker6268 if it weren't for the player character the PCA would have rolled the corporations and the RLF, it's the pilots that make the difference, not the tech
I always thought that the PCA is more of a policing force like border guard, a very well arm and equip border guard because the corporate security forces can fight them to a standstill. I expect an actual interstellar military to be much more powerful than this like mass produce arm fort that ca be drop from orbit level of strong. The government love thier monopoly on violence and they won't willing to lose to a bunch of corporate PMC.
Its a fair shout, i find it hard to really pin point what to call them apart from thier title. The pca seem to do a lot of roles and while they seem to focus on planets its possible they bleed into other role like border control, police and others to keep them active.
PCA: we got readings on the independent mercenary Raven! NES unit: ... My name is not Raven, for i am not independent, I am apart of NES (New Enforcement System) owned by MarkerCorp™. Power down your weapons and surrender, for ES makes _NO_ exceptions, refusing will result in elimination.
(not to be confused, but the NES/ES are machines using Allmind (torso and legs) X Archibua (arms and head) parts and usually vary. The Es sports a white with various colors and cyan lights, and the NES sports white white gold and red lights) (All NES/ES models are extremely autonomous, needing no pilot yet they act simmeraly human, minus talking.)
Oh see now i would play that because i bet fromsoftware would do a good job of making you feel either like a badass hero in one route, a pilot torn between their job and thier beliefs and finally a power hungry pca member who turns into a dozer group type leader with a next.
Here's hoping that PCA weapons/parts (similar) make their way into DLC if there's any plans for it. That and I would love to see missions/route supporting the PCA to see how that would play out.
@@MrTigracho Right you have light units and heavy. Each one however is still a major threat to an ac. Which is why the pca has this idea of thier mechs being better then acs.

I think ac shares a lot of its so close to this other mech series. Granted your right the pair are pretty dam close, but i guess there is only so many ways to draw mechs.
I've always wanted to know if the HCs and LCs are MTs or something completly different cause they sure aren't armored cores but they have the strength to go toe to toe with them.
From my time looking over them, I would personally say they are more like battle mts in ac lore they did have the power to power to go toe to toe with acs. However the HC and LC's personally make me think of general purpose armored cores just better.
It is quite interesting. They are a bit taller than the average AC but, according to the wiki, are not modular like them, meaning that they can't switch arms, legs and heads out with a different design. Cavalry Units have set-in-stone schematics when the PCA designs them, perhaps because they thought it would be a waste of time to make all of the parts interchangeable.
@@Calamity556 Very much. They take the idea of Normals really from ac4 where parts can no be changed. Then again this is the case for mts and GPAC, where once they are made that's it. No swapping body parts as they would not fit. I imagine the PCA was very much on the idea of we can't spend all our budget on making new models with swappable parts. Make crafts able to be mass produced for most of our force and we'll make better ones for higher ranking officers etc.
I have this funny idea for two different types of PCA AC: one meant for mercenaries hired to supplement the main military force it belongs to and one reverse engineered by Arquebus. See if you can catch the references in the names: DG-9055 Akritas: light high-speed hovertank that's kind of a tank-leg counterpart to the new lammergrier: it's extremely fast and trades armor for control. It's basically just a hover-leg model, and the legs can be considered the hovering counterpart to the wheelchair tank (as the hover taink itself is split with two different engines). The core itself juts forward like an ekdromoi, though much angular, and uniquely mounts the head backwards facing away from the core itself. The back weapons are build into the sides of the jutting core, and are always pointed forward and fixed in place. The weapon bays are actually located on the very front of the core spike. The head is kind of themed after a radar boom used on navy patrol planes and submarine hunters: it's a big spike projecting into the air. The arms would be reverse-jointed, kind of like Ace Combat's X-02 Wyvern, and are small and bulky, yet rounded. The Akritas was intended for use by mercenaries hired to supplement the PCA in conflict zones far more hectic than rubicon (hence why it is never seen), exhibiting an emphasis on utilitarian all-terrain design. It exoatmospheric conditions it can serve as a space fighter, and in atmosphere excel at both ground and aerial operations. AQ-VE-PDSDSH*: Jannisary: the closest arquebus could get to reverse engineering PCA tech for use into armored cores before the ending, this does not exhibit any of the typical arquebus design elements as it was meant to be a proof of concept, though schneider helped fill in the gaps. A heavy combat biped known for having oddly disproportionate limbs, it's fast for it's weight, almost exhibiting the character of a beefed up melander or tenderfood. Fundamentally, the design is a hybrid between the HC and LC designs with an original core made by schneider that's crudely hidden behind riveted armor plating cobbled together from what appear to be the the center of an ekdromoi with the severed heads of subject guard muscle tracers attached to half of repurposed lammergeir chest harness as a mounting point. Uniquely, when back weapons are not in use, they sit directly on the shoulders facing away from the head. There are two head models available, one an LC, the other an HC. The same goes with the limbs, which are unique in their disproportionate size to a normal AC: they've also had crude integration of balam, baws, and rd parts on them in a crude and almost parasitic manner, presumanbly in order to allow the AC cockpit to move them (including the head). Never meant for actual combat usage, the jannissary was a proof of concept intended to inform Arquebus manufacturing's next course of action after their retreat from rubicon. It ironically quite mirrors their hated enemy balam in presumable combat role as it was constructed with scavenged balam AC parts.
Well i am not that much of real world history buff to be honest, but i believe the first one is something to do with the Greeks and the second one is something similar?
@@allengordon6929 I think it would have made some interesting foes in the game. The PCA merc one, i could have seen being thier own faction later on which 621 may have had to deal with or allmind would deal with them. As for the arqubues one could have been a better idea for another boss before walter maybe instead of the balius this ac could have been what snail jumped into thinking with the pca tech incorporated he would finally be rid of the mutt.
@@armoredcorelore as for the naming scheme, they both factor in the PCA's ancient warrior/greek naming scheme. The DG at the front of the Akritas' number code stands for Digenes, which is medieval greek for biracial. Akritas means kight of the border in the same language. Digenes Akritas was a lengendary hero of byzantine myth, with numerous epic poems starring him. The PCA could be considered akritai as they guard the borders of rubicon, whilst any AC they develop would be digenes, born from two different lines of technological thinking. As for the janissary, it's named after a class of slave soldier from renaissance turkey. Many of these slaves were greek, initially POW's. The full designation of the janissary armored core is Arquebus-Schneider-PaedodezmasDevshirme: the latter two being different terms for the same thing: the enslavement of rural christian boys to enter the ottoman court system, stereotyipcally as soldiers but also politicians, scientists, doctors, etc. The name is chosen because these PCA LC/HC hulks have been crudely parasitized with AC technology by arquebus, who in a sense have enslaved the PCA (which uses greek names often) machine and forced it to become an armored core, one that will determine the future of the entire corporation
"We're terribly sorry, but this planet is now closed. Attempting to land will result in lethal force." "I seem to have forgotten the part of this conversation where I asked."

@@armoredcorelorewould go good for an "for answer" expansion because there's plenty of room for stories in this game. It seems more that there's bound to be more conflicts and further adaptation of the technologies involved and further attempts at oppression.
@@armoredcorelore now this is pure theory nonsense, but the Coral would make for a good multifaceted antagonist. Because Ayre tries to warn 621 not to lose consciousness or they'll be lost to Coral flow. But the end goal seems to clearly be symbiosis of a sort of gestalt consciousness and of the individual/individuality thanks to the implants and AC units. But if you can entirely lose yourself to the collective, to the flow, then that implies that there could potentially be thousands to billions of human on each planet who would lose themselves and become little more than data, and biofuel to be absorbed by the Coral. Meanwhile the major flaw a lot of the gestalt consciousness BS from shows like Evangelion is that fundamentally such a consciousness is alone, because the thousands to billions of people who make such a being aren't individualized entities they're all just aspects of the main entity little more than thoughts and memories in it's mind. And if that's true and if thousands, millions, billions of humans lose themselves to the Coral flow without retaining that sense of self, then all we have is a Coral that's more limited following feral instinct and thoughts, but with the knowledge of a species who have built AC, and space cruisers. And just because everyone who didn't succumb assumedly has a "brain wife" still doesn't mean that they might not be garbage individuals.
I guess that’s my personal hunch but I feel like the PCA aren’t a government or a federation but an agreement made by corporations and such. that’s my hunch and I don’t think either of these have been confirmed lol
You could be right, however i just feel if this was say a independent body formed by the corporations to control power, i think they would have corrupted it. Its just the way corps in ac have been and the pca behaviour is very much that of the earth government in ac2 and Another age.
@@armoredcorelorea big reason to why I felt that way is older AC games had similar unions and the PCA is aware of at least Nightfall’s raven where he most’ve been a famous merc for all Corporations to know him by callsign.

The PCA have some of the most advanced technology of all factions in ACVI. But if the PCA is just one bureaucratic branch of some larger Galactic Government, then that larger government might have like Gundam-tier tech out there.

@@officer_miller it was a 7 hour war 😂

PCA: I AM DA LAW!!!!
C4-621: " This planet ain't big enough for the both of us."
Yes, i was waiting for this.
Well, there is a log in C-spider mission i think, that says the PCA is ruled by AI, so that's in line with their way of doing things i guess?
It's kind of sad that PCA didn't put up much more of a fight. I love a good AC2 style Government Death Squad storyline. 😂

Mowing down the corporate MT's and other fodder and then having to go up against the PCA was such a cool change of pace in the first playthrough

It would be a dream come true to pilot the CATAPHRACT, my fav PCA AC in the game, love the design and heavy weaponry they have
I have a story to tell.

Actually, Kate Markson's dialogue in "Obstruct Mandatory Inspection" indicates that the PCA was never content with the situation and in fact had already deployed the suppression fleet to reinforce its garrison on Rubicon III even before you blew up the watchpoint.

I hope so too. If not to just add some more time to the game with trying out these new parts.
Pca sent its suppression fleet when they found out baws has found a vein of coral not because 621 killed the sea spider

YAY PCA, the good guys lol
Ha ha well i guess that depends on who you ask.
I can understand why PCA Calvary machines are supposed to be better then ACs but... the scrap pile of them I left them would say other wise. Personally overwhelming signle AC would be reasonable idea but honestly PCA gonna need thier own Raven rather than thin armor tech cans.
I like to think that is why we see them mostly in pairs or group. But as some would say its the skill of a pilot that decides who lives and dies.
PCA are elite forces but Raven is a once in a generation prodigy piloting an AC that's probably ten times more expensive and fine tuned.
PCAS would be more intimidating if only their "Heavy" warships weren't so easy to down....
Yes it is a little disappointing. I admit with what little knowledge i have on ships it does seem odd that taking out a command bridge would sink or destroy a whole ship. I am sure there are many factors i am not aware of however it just seems odd.
@@armoredcorelore They could at least maybe put on some pulse shielding, like they do on their HCs.
@@mrtencza It would have made sense lore wise. Gameplay wise maybe it would be too boring to have to sit there and hack away at a shield for a bit.
@@arkhtyi9456
It's ALLMIND who sends those Coral Drone MTs and HELIANTHUS machines to destroy the Strider.

It's a shame that after the defeat of the PCA we didn't have the chance to use modified parts of the PCA tech
I'm mean sure I understand not be able to use a full HC but maybe some Head piece build from the scrap or something
Even having access to one or two weapons
Arquebus absorb the PCA tech and there is a mission where we steal info from down PCA technology and sold it to the corps and the RLF
It would have made sense that the corporations or maybe RaD create new stuff based on the PCA aircrafts and others vehicles.
If there is a DLC or a new game
I really hope we get the chance to use an AC created using the tech and design of PCA Calvary units
We technically do though to some degree.
Isn't the missile weaponry of RAD come from Balteus?
Wish we got more on why PCA doesn't use armored cores at all.
I think by this time armored cores are considered older tech used mostly by independents because of their customization. The PCA uses HC and LC units instead because in a large military force it’s more important to have units be standardized among their soldiers.
Well maybe they should reconsider. Being they kicked there but up and down Rubicon.
@@anthonywalker6268 if it weren't for the player character the PCA would have rolled the corporations and the RLF, it's the pilots that make the difference, not the tech
@@skellymen2395I think people over estimate bureaucrats.
Specifically, they'd get tied up with ibis, rusty, and arqibus would probably still use balm as bait. Then the coral goes off.
I like this, thank you!!! A close up look at the games MT enemy units ❤️
The little mts need some time in the spot light too.
Great work as always man. Keep them coming.
Thank you for the kind words.
The Es sports a white with various colors and cyan lights, and the NES sports white white gold and red lights)
(All NES/ES models are extremely autonomous, needing no pilot yet they act simmeraly human, minus talking.)
Imagine in the next game we play as a branch of the space govt that the PCA belonged to and we get NEXT style ac's to take back the planet
Oh see now i would play that because i bet fromsoftware would do a good job of making you feel either like a badass hero in one route, a pilot torn between their job and thier beliefs and finally a power hungry pca member who turns into a dozer group type leader with a next.
Great... even in the future we still gotta deal with the feds.
You can't escape the law. Even in space ha ha
How's anyone supposed to run an ethically dubious business around here?
It would be interesting to be able to pilot a Cavalry Mech just to see what it feels like compared to an AC.
Tell me about it, be rather neat to pilot them even in a dlc where we could do a mission or two in different PCA Crafts.
I only notice this now, but the PCA emblem looks a lot like the OMER's logo.
The links! ha ha
@@armoredcorelore Just a bit. Hmmmm... more questions.
ORCA's ideals are finally realized lmao
Here's hoping that PCA weapons/parts (similar) make their way into DLC if there's any plans for it.
That and I would love to see missions/route supporting the PCA to see how that would play out.
You and me both.
Am I the only one who noticed that the PCA’s logo looks like Omer’s logo?
Don't cross the timelines ha ha.
Let's go my favorite faction!
Don't blame you. Best government branch we have see in ac which did not betray the government.
11:53 I see what you did there.
So thr PCA is our usual Feddies, their units are streamlined models rather than customable Cores
@@MrTigracho Right you have light units and heavy. Each one however is still a major threat to an ac. Which is why the pca has this idea of thier mechs being better then acs.
Actual heroes.
Well they certainly tried.
been waiting for this video for a while!
Hope i did the PCA justice then.
PCA design is straight up Front Mission. Look at the ekdromoi, straight up Gust Wanzers. While the HC are straight up Kyojun, google it up and see what i meant. Eerily near rip off resemblance
I think ac shares a lot of its so close to this other mech series. Granted your right the pair are pretty dam close, but i guess there is only so many ways to draw mechs.
PCA should of won because the HC and ACs look amazing
Fashion core.
They're definetly the good guys
They tried to be.
See if you can catch the references in the names:
DG-9055 Akritas: light high-speed hovertank that's kind of a tank-leg counterpart to the new lammergrier: it's extremely fast and trades armor for control.
@@armoredcorelore well, what do you think of the gameplay implications?
@@allengordon6929 I think it would have made some interesting foes in the game. The PCA merc one, i could have seen being thier own faction later on which 621 may have had to deal with or allmind would deal with them. As for the arqubues one could have been a better idea for another boss before walter maybe instead of the balius this ac could have been what snail jumped into thinking with the pca tech incorporated he would finally be rid of the mutt.
@@armoredcorelore how about playing as them?
Overseers next?
They on the list to do, but next up is the karasawa and moonlight video update.
I could see a PCA route, they arent that far from what Overseer does
True plus playing as part of a government force would be nice change.
emblem looks like omers ngl
Yes it does.
"We're terribly sorry, but this planet is now closed. Attempting to land will result in lethal force."
"I seem to have forgotten the part of this conversation where I asked."
Badass 621 or maybe Walter since 621 is a silent protagonist ha ha.
Not gonna lie. Everytime i hear PCA, i always think "Pacific Coast Academy".
I think the only think that upset me is that i know where that is from.
The LC are easily the most annoying enemies in ac6
They certainly can be. Although i admit the one that get me the most are the HC using a light weight ac i ended up stunned so much.
I wish there was a storyline where we joined with them the PCA are so fascinating and mysterious
Honestly i think this is the first time i have seen a lot of ac players want to work for the government. Which is neat and fromsoftware really should just give us all a chance to pilot the cool government weapons.
@@armoredcorelorewould go good for an "for answer" expansion because there's plenty of room for stories in this game. Even the final ending doesn't really do much to close off further story telling possibilities, instead it actually makes more possibilities, after all, what's going to happen to humanity with Coral spread everywhere? It seems more that there's bound to be more conflicts and further adaptation of the technologies involved and further attempts at oppression.
@@codyraugh6599 True could be fun to see what happens. It really a waiting game now I guess.
U forgot theres another LC who has a cannon type on defend the xylem and MIA
That's Arquebus modified HC, technically it belongs to Arquebus, not PCA.
Bang on the money there.
@@armoredcorelore
Yeah, you forgot the "Artillery LC" and "Plasma Rifle HC" modified by Arquebus's Advanced Development Division.
