You do realise the people on this show are contacted before-hand by the producers. My understanding is that Max and Nev are not told about anything meaning the investigations they do are real and it keeps their reactions natural. The show needs to keep some form of control on things otherwise there are all sorts of safety risks not to mention expenditure flying around to different cities just knocking on random peoples doors.

I totally feel for Elijah.. I've had a Nokia keypad for a period of time. Just in built texting and calling to stay connected to folks. And honestly it wasn't that bad. No social medias. I had been focusing on myself and my relationship at that time was on peak.
