All I know is your Route 66 preset is the best sounding Helix Tone I’ve heard. And I’ve toyed with a bunch. Bless you brother 🙏🏻.

@@MacSimusMusic I've been down the IR rabbit hole also. Like everyone I wanted the best sound possible as quickly as possible. We've all been sucked in by the "Only way is IR" mentality. We should trust Line 6 more that they know what their doing. They did give us an pro level genius awesome floor pedal, but like typical human nature we're quick to find what we perceive as fault when we don't get what we want immediately. The quick fix mentality. I think the educational part finding is part of the fun. OMG rant over. lol

super late to this but this is fantastic. Totally changes my mind on line 6 stock cabs. Its not that they dont know what theyre doing. WE dont know what were doing haha. As a kemper user, historically, all of the cab stuff has already been done by the profilers. But as i started my own profiling recently i realized, understanding mic placement is almost everything in the finished sound.

if you low pass at 5k, you kill the air... Better eq out with parametric eq hi q the resonnance around from 5,3k - 6.1kz and around 3,2K-ish on celestion.
Also, what matter is the sound in the mix. Try judging the sound with drum and bass and in stereo by adding a stereo delay 100% wet, at 0ms on one side and 15ms on the other side. It will give a better representation on the low mid muddiness around 300hz. If muddy cut 3db wide Q.
