I don’t see why there is confusion- a detox is always used to reset and get back to basics. Did this 30 day detox w my hair almost a year ago and havent looked to raw butters and oil since. I have seen drastic improvement with how my hair holds moisture and curl definition. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE🤣 flat ironed my hair for the first time this year and it LOOKS AMAZING! Full and healthy. That has been the proof for me! Thank ya’ll for making hair science plain!
Then what do you use for your hair ? just curious. Indians been using only coconut oil for there hair for yearssss and their hair are the longggg. I use a sulfate shampoo so i know i don’t have build up from it. But i’m just curious what you use for your hair.
@@mialong2363 That is true, and if it works for an individual than they should continue to do so....but my hair has always felt more dry w coconut oil. Honestly my regimen is very simple now. I shampoo with Dove Clarifying shampoo or Giovani clarifying shampoo, then condition. Currently I use Hello Hydration. After I rinse w the conditioner, while my hair is soaking wet I apply 2 gels. Uncle Funky's Daughter first, and then a holding gel. I find that the moisture from good ole fashion H2O, when sealed in with a gel keeps my hair hydrated and moisturized! I wear a wash and go so its set for about a week and a half before I have to repeat the process. I have been a shea butter, olive oil junkie in years past and have never really seen results like this. I truly believe less is more and water is our friend :-)
Do you guys post the same comments on every TH-cam channel that talks about the detox challenge😂? I have noticed similar comments on almost all the pages I have visited. What’s going here?🤣
Thanks for clarifying this. I understood this when you ladies started this years ago. I unsubscribed to some of my long time favorite TH-camrs after they published this misinformation/click bait garbage of "no oils, no butters". They missed the entire point.
@@reneewright1019 I think you misunderstood. I didn't say that I don't use oils and butters. I love Camille Rose Naturals almond jai twisting butter. I ensure that I properly cleanse my hair between washes.

I think it’s how we use the products and how much of it we use and how we clean our hair that plays a huge factor in our hair. Hair cream is fine in moderation. I will not go back to grease and shea butter. I still use oil on my scalp from time to time
Glad this was cleared up I never understood the women who use all the oils butters and grease and really think this is growing their hair . It dosent all it does is clogs the pores and weights the hair down making it oily and greasy
Nobody said oils can grow hair. People use it for different reasons : to smooth it, to give a sheen, to have more glide when detangling or simply because it makes the hair more manageable. Not everybody's hair becomes greasy, weight down, oily or have clogged pores with oils. Ask the Indians, the Japanese, the Arabs, the Aboriginals it their hair is oily. Also one myth bro debunk about using oils is that we don't put a ton of oils on our hair. Just a little bit. No need to be condescending toward this choice. I'm pro choice in every aspects of the life.
If you enjoyed the results of the detox, then you should keep the same routine you followed during the detox. If you didn’t enjoy it or miss the products you used to use, then you could go back to using oils and butters.
I just finished my detox, and I really liked it. I am gonna take the tricks I learned during it and bring back my butters in moderation. But I am removing just regular cold pressed oils from my routine cause it does not benefit the health of my hair or scalp.
I am now just seeing this and I have to agree with you 100%. When you were talking, I’m like ummmm yeah you right, damn never thought about it that way. Then when you starting talking about learning your hair and what not to use/what to use, about a year and a half ago I tried doing the unrefined coconut oil and my hair slapped the sh*t outta me and said no, hahahahaha. But I’m going to start the challenge on Saturday. I’m going to view your library and get informed.
Blah blah blah blah. Pleeez cut down on the excessive chit chat and just provide the information. I’m 4” in and the speaker hasn’t provided a single bit of information. No more vague marketing videos.
Huh? In less than 4 minutes, she…. -explained the concept of the 30 day hair detox -explained how to eschew product mania in favor of learning your hair -explained how oils and butters may be counterproductive in seeking moisturized hair -reckoning with learning our hair in its true state -and as for marketing, yes there will be product placement. This is the brand’s channel-nothing sinister about that.
$75 for an e-book is not affordable for many!
