Desmond, first of all, my compliments to you on your presentation. Top drawer visuals and audio 🏆 Secondly, I think that the build quality and aesthetics are intrinsic aspects of function. Beauty begets beauty. Quality begets quality. Can you take beautiful photographs while hauling your gear around in a budget case or bag? Yes, but its HARDER to in a very intangible way. Our gear choices are our reminder to ourselves as to WHO WE ARE. Not to impress others but rather to affirm our sense of purpose as we journey through our careers. During moments of failure or setback the things we surround ourselves with, the gear, our clothes, the art and interior ligjting in our homes, apartments, or efficiency rooms are there to remind us not just of who we aspire to be but who we are, to some encouraging degree, right now. I used to wonder why kids in the ghetto bought two hundred dollar basketball shoes. Now I know. Sometimes the extravagant is the more responsible choice. Just my opinion.☕📷👍
Been using a Ona prince street canvas bag for travel since 2016… I wax them before travel and it has a nice vintage look to it now… I like the functionality of it too.. I use it for sony a7r5 with 24-105f4 & 24f1.4 & pair of gentle monster shades
Question, It seems nowhere i can find an answer: please tell me how many shots/photos can you get with one battery on a7iv?under 1000? over 1500? approximative shots if you know
My experience with ONA Bags and their "The Leather Bowery" camera bag has been disappointing. The connection clip from the strap to the bag frequently opens accidentally, causing the bag to fall from my shoulder. This has happened around 10 times, putting my $20,000 worth of photography gear at risk. Despite reaching out to ONA Bags for a solution, they responded that they don't have one. This lack of resolution is unacceptable, and the recurring issue has left me frustrated and concerned about the reliability of their products.
Lol I get it. Bags are like a personal thing that a person has to get into and decide for themselves. For most people I direct them to Tenbas are not cheap but probably the best value for "rugged" camera bags (Think tank is similar but a smidge more usually). Wotancraft I really like their pilots messengers, but you sorta need to be into the light, simple, soft bag way of things. Billingham is on the other side of the spectrum sorta, and probably the most I'd pay personally but I'd never recommend them. Like ONAs, you sorta have to come to that type of bag yourself, price be damned lol.
He doesn't recommend them because he wants to humble brag. He is trying to point how expensive the shit he is buying and suggesting that *you* can't afford what he can. He also uses it to mention for the nth time he also owns a Leica.
My guess is that he EARNED his luxury and at the same time understands the unearned blessings that went with that. If you've got a nice hat, WEAR it. And tell the story of how you got it. It's a service to the unmotivated to be given a glimpse of what awaits if you aspire and perspire at the same time. Desmond shoots Leica and carries them in ONA bags. If you envy him his successful career, get off your seat cushions and get to work. Then, someday in the future YOU can do a video showing what awaits the one who pursues his dream.
@linjicakonikon7666 who said I envied him? I have ona bags and expensive gear as well - most photographers do. It's uncouth to show off ones wealth condescending imply that others are unable to afford what you have.
@@JimIBobIJones I said you envied him. We're both coming at this video with different mindsets. I own two Prince Street leather bags and I'm on a fixed income. I wasn't offended at all. In any case they are great bags and are only for those photographers that value what ONA is making available to them at higher cost. Cheers 👍☕📷
@@linjicakonikon7666 So calling out bad manners and elitist douchebag attitudes is envy? "only for those photographers that value what ONA is making available to them at higher cost" - pal, they aren't that expensive compared to other professional gear. They are higher end, yes, but not in anyway exclusive or only for "special" people. Suggesting that is puffed up and self-absorbed. This is exactly the condescending philistine attitude I was trying to point out...
@@linjicakonikon7666 If this isn't a bot comment then humanity is screwed. This comment is like hearing some poor South American kid praise the Pope's display of wealth while they are dying on the street.
How is excellence a ripoff? Why is it a crime to earn profits that sustain a company and pay it's employees and their families a decent wage. Leica and ONA are nothing like the junk that came out of Communist countries during the Cold War. I spent three summers in Romania and saw and felt the effects of Socialism. You'll never read about the superlative Romanian cameras and leather products...because they didn't make any. Excellence is anathema in Communist countries. High profit rewards excellence and excellence rewards those who work and think well.
Bro, you are pretentious. You’re that photographer who has the money for top gear and leicas, sees it as a status symbol, yet can’t make one good image. focus on being a photographer and not flaunting your gear and money lol. it gives off “new money” energy.
Phew! You caught me! Thank goodness I don’t make all my “new money” from being a photographer. But thanks for watching 👌🏽 and taking the time to comment. Gives off “keyboard warrior” energy.

I disagree, I think this bag is designed perfectly for any tool carrying 20k of photography equipment in it.
😂

You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how hypocritical it seems…
look into billingham and oberwerth bags
