I’ve used my Ona everywhere and have never had this problem. Not once has this ever happened to me. I believe you are the first I’ve ever heard about this problem. I own two of their bags and would not hesitate to purchase another one. Glad you solved your problem.
I have owned a few ONA bags and have not had this issue. I was however more worried with how easily a thief would be bale to open the snap and maybe grab the bag and run. I put a small zip tie around each clasp to hold them closed and stop any attempted grab and run. I have never needed to remove a strap anyway so not having functional snaps is not an issue.

It's disappointing how they've responded to this issue. Poorly chosen clasps on an otherwise nice-seeming bag.
Very nice solution... Where did you get the rings for solving
I bought it in local fabric/craft shop, they have items for bag making www.abakhan.lv/en/craft/making-a-bag
@@AndrejsZavadskisthnx a lot

I have the same Ona bag but in canvas. Sad to hear the customer service..
Had the same problem, broke my 55-200 Fuji lens when it happened
Super glue the strap to the connection.
