Outstanding...! I may never go back to the full orchestral version again..., this is such a magnificent interpretation of Copeland's "Billy The Kid". It distills the composition into its purest essence. And it is flawlessly performed. Bravo and well done. (ps, I got just a touch of nostalgia for some of Keith Emerson's Copland-esque keyboard explorations, too...) (pps, The publishing date also adds a particularly poignant note to this brilliant piece of bold and troubled Americana.)
Bravo!!! I agree totally with CurtisAmusements. The piano sound really changes the texture. It's more....raw, primitive. It enhances the very American themes in the music. Superb performance. Perfect tempo!
