Teringat saat tugas ke NY, saya hunting makanan Indo tiap hari (krn sy tinggal di Swiss). Banyak pilihan di NY. Kalau di LA, sy sangat2 rekomen Medan Kitchen, itu jaw dropping bgt, sudah seperti pasar tradisional Indo, LA rasa Jakarta.

I know. Amanda actually invited me to eat some homemade Manadonese food with her family and friends but I was really busy trying to see my family and friends, only being back in the US for 3 weeks. Maybe next time I’m back I’ll check it out 👌🏼

I live in one area with Amanda, North Sulawesi. with culinary foods that are abundant in spices, such as ikan mas woku/pepes, tinorangsak stuffed with bamboo at Christmas, bumbu RW, ayam santan kering, renga, ragey etc. you have to try rob and give value
Woku is my favorite, and of course Dabu2. Can't wait to visit Manado and try 👌
damn I really enjoyed this video🤣 so much fun things, the way Rob rly know abt Indonesian dish then the most Indonesian itself. I mean, not all Indonesia know what the viral dish on the street, sometimes upper middle class they just come to restaurant to eat, and goin to starbucks to take a coffee break. never tried a warkop
Happy you enjoyed this one! We must say, everything we've learned in Indonesia has been at a Warkop, Warung, Pasar, Kampung, Kost etc. So the way we speak, the knowledge etc. is all based around that. That's why I know about those viral street dishes and terms like Portugal. But if we ever end up in a formal situation we're going to be slacking wkwkwkwk

it's true that Indomie never disappoints 😂, and there are also other fried noodles besides Indomie, which are mie sedap and taste similar to Indomie but not as famous as Indomie for a similar taste

I'm late to this party, but @Rob, as a local, I don't like my corns mixed with milk or cheese. If I'm not in the mood for rice, I usually go for ja (jasuke without the suke, basically, lol), add some mentega to the boiled and strained corns, and mix 'em simply with chili sauce. If you want to add some proteins, you can add a fried chicken as well. Try it out one day to see if you still don't like corn that way 🙂
