Alternator running high and killing batteries overnight so gonna replace the alternator cuz I think I destroyed the alternator putting a charger on truck to listen to my music all day
Screw all that!!! Remove the fan cowling, loosen the tensioner bolt, loosen the top left pulley nut, and your first belt is ready to come off. Then loosen the bolt attached to the alternator bracket on top and remove the belt. Reverse the order and reassemble.
What he's saying is that you do not need to take out the coolant and the water pump off to remove the alternator belt . I have done this myself. it goes over the fan by carefully going around the fan when removing the belt.

And if you have air conditioning? Cause...... I can tell you there are at least 2 belts between my alternator belt and it's freedom.
