    Nice video, very helpful. At 6:20, when reinstalling the calipers, do those pins self-center the caliper? For a lot of bikes you need to put some pressure on the front brake to get the calipers aligned with the rotors before you tighten the caliper bolts, maybe with those pins it isn't necessary.

      The calipers are always in the same place. It is the pistons and the pads which need to come in contact with the rotor correctly. Torque the caliper bolts tight. Then spin the wheel and grab the brakes untile they stop. This will align the wheel. After that is done, torque the axle then the pinch bolts. Best way to align the front.

      @@RideWNC So in this case the dowel pins keep the calipers aligned, thanks. 👍

    Could you share the torque values of each screw (including axe) please? I can't find them

    Great video! I got new s22 tires (same size as before) now my dtc is flashing at odd times. Only done about 40miles on the new tires. Is this normal for the dtc to flash when I go over 3k rpm?

    Great video man, why can’t you loosen the left side pinch bolts

    • @RideWNC
      @RideWNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a threaded insert in the fork. Your left pinch bolts holds it in place. If you loosen the pinch bolts, that insert spins and the axle will not come out. So use the insert to help you. When installing the wheel place the left wheel seal on the insert to support your wheel while you slide the axle through the wheel.

      @@RideWNC oh okay I see, my pinch bolts are rusty, can I remove one then clean it up then put it back in, then do the same to the other ?

    • @RideWNC
      @RideWNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brandonlaws8877 You can remove them. Just don't loosen your axle. If you do, you will need to retorque everything.

    Why do u have to remove calipers? On my Ducati v4s I didn't

    • @RideWNC
      @RideWNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no way you got the front wheel off of a V4S without pulling the calipers. THERE IS NO WAY! On any Ducati Superbike! th-cam.com/video/JocRbNAb-tY/w-d-xo.html And if you could, it is safer to remove the calipers to avoid scratching the wheel.

    the last time I changed the front tire when they put the wheel in place, the right side was rubbing the brake disc on the brake pads and they couldn't align. could i have something broken?

    • @RideWNC
      @RideWNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Click ==> 8:14 - Align the front this way. Just because the pads rub on the rotor is not a bad thing.If you are eating us a set of pads with every tire change and your rotor is turning purple, that is not good.

    • @ricardoreis2648

      @@RideWNC okay i see it but wasn't just rubbing, it was making noises and the rotor was hitting on the caliper when i hard turn to the right on riding the bike. so I thought that i have the rotor broke, change the rotor but it happend again and we find a way to align. We align using a wrench to push the suspension out and so the rotor was aligned in the caliper.
      Now i need to understand if i have something broken.
      the next time i will show this video to my mecanic and will see if it will stay align.

      @@ricardoreis2648 Your mechanic might not have torqued everything down properly. IF the bike has not been crashed, I doubt you have broken anything.

      @@RideWNC that's the question, maybe I bought a motorcycle that had an accident 😞, this is my fear.
      me and my mechanic tightened everything to torque but not in the order shown in the video
