I met my husband at almost 16 years old. We were married a few DAYS after my 18 th birthday. My husband was 19. We are about to celebrate our 48 th wedding anniversary. With 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. We have had our challenges. We have grown and are more in love now than ever.

5 years is great and it went by quickly. Congratulations! You will see when you are married over a decade that it really does go by so quickly. I got married at 20 (engaged at 17 and would have married at 18 but my mom asked us to wait a little longer) and have been married 19 years now and it still feels like it was not that long ago. It goes fast.
What is important is growing together. That's the best.
I do know a few relationships where they married young but didn't work out but it is because they did not grow together or stay committed.

I’ve been with my husband for 20 years and we’ve been married for 16 years. I got married at 27 years old and I felt like I was very behind in life. We got married at the courthouse and didn’t have a wedding. The hardest period of our marriage was when our son was between the ages of 2-5. It’s physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting to be a parent and it will test your marriage! We made it through and have never even considered divorce. We are committed to our marriage. I think you are both very mature and self aware.

My Mom had just been 14 a month and my Dad 18 for a month when that got married. They were married 74 years when he passed away. They raised 5 children. Things were not always easy, but they always put God first in their lives, and I feel like that is key.

I know what Leonardo was trying to say about not really noticing a child grow up if you've been with them the whole time compared to noticing the changes if you haven't been with them the whole time. It makes he made that example since he's the oldest of so many siblings :)

Why should they. That's very rude. If they do want children later they've got way plenty of time yet, they are still very young, they might not feel secure enough yet financially to bring children into the world anyway and I admire them for that rather than be irresponsible and struggle through life expecting handouts. We need more mature minded and unselfish couples like this.

Maybe they don't feel comfortable yet, maybe they're already expecting, maybe they don't want children, maybe they'd prefer to adopt or maybe they struggle with fertility - regardless of reason and being on TH-cam: that's their private business...

Im 35, not married (never been) , no kids, not much on my name. But I have God and I have joy, and I know everything happens in Gods perfect timing. Life can sometimes change in a blink of an eye. Its the same with having kids for this lovely young couple I think :). Also we only see a fraction of their lives we can never know what are the reasons for people being wherever they are in life and making choices that they are making. By choosing to be kind someone can not go wrong 💕. Treat others as you wish to be treated 🌸
