I don’t think he tried very hard with this movie. As many pointed out he ignores Hitch’s realization that what he taught wasn’t all that helpful. And then he ignores more of the sins of Eva Mendes character that are honestly more sexist. Like how her strong character just folded after meeting Hitch. Missed some of the most important points honestly
Food allergies. Can be developed pretty much at any point in your life, so its actually possible for Hitch to not know about a new allergy until he eats said thing he's allergic to. I spent my whole life eating shrimp, my favorite seafood. Around age 24, I order food with shrimp in it, and my mouth swelled up on me out of the blue. Doctor says I'm now allergic to shrimp, not all shellfish for some reason, just shrimp... -_-
The whole point of the movie is that Will Smith’s character isn’t as clued up about women as he might think. That makes him a bit naive (which he realises at the end of the movie by the way) but it certainly doesn’t make him a sexist. Especially when it clearly highlights more than once that he strictly does NOT help struggling guys get ‘laid’ but helps them get one foot in the door of a genuine, loving and committed relationship, of which they will treat the woman they love with respect, if they’re shy or unsure of how to win over their affections. On what planet is that even remotely sexist? And he only became the ‘Date doctor’ and so called expert in the first place because it was a woman who was vile towards him and broke HIS heart by sleeping around, simply because he says he loved her 🤔But hey, it’s 2019, let’s keep running with the singular narrative that suits best 👍🏻
Also, I don't see anything wrong with finding someone attractive wanting to have sex with them, wanting to have sex with then and trying to convince them to have it with you. Only anti-sex losers are that anti-sexual freedom.
@@qazmko22 Maybe the problem was with the casting. Maybe if they had chosen less attractive girls for the "shy nerds" to seduce then it would have been more believable. I don't say that uglier guys don't get sexier women IRL but seriously theses girls were wayyyyyyyy out of their league!
@@famco_inc737 I actually do see attractive women with guys like that. If you have ever worked in a grocery store, you will see women with average looking guys, turns out it's more then just looks.
@@qazmko22 I don't say that these kinda of couple do not exist. But in the case of this movie it does send the message that these guys need a playbook to get these women that would never look pass their looks otherwise. It also reinforce the hollywood's nice guy syndrome which is not ideal!

13:00 Um, she had her back turned so that the dude could photograph Hitch while appearing as though he's photographing her. She's trying to be discreet and get what she came for, the photos.
The key jingling thing is def a real thing lol. I mean, it's not universal or anything. But if a woman had a bad time she would likely just dart into the house. I dont understand why you were soooo upset at that part. I see what everyone is talkin about now...
Probably because it was one of those weird Hollywood ideas of how things work everytime in the real world. Not everyone lives their lives according to movie clichés. Plenty of women don't wait for the guy to catch up that she wants to be kissed. And, really, it's a weird thing anyway. Sure, sometimes it probably happens, maybe because girls and women saw it in movies and copied it. But not all or even most women do it. I suppose it can seem a small issue to some people, but hey, opinions differ.
So the keys jingling thing is definitely real for some folks but not everyone. That's part of the problem. Stereotypically men are STILL expected to be the initiators of romantic overtures. Women STILL use alot of unclear signs for things and get angry when the guy doesn't "get the hint". Does this mean everyone fits in those trends? No. But until people stop beating around the bush and playing mind games things like "fiddling with the keys" will be used by people (women or not) who want that kiss but for whatever reason are not willing to clearly communicate that. Really, if you want that kiss, you should ask for the kiss or be much more clear about wanting the kiss than dropping a hint that will likely bounce off the other person. Especially in this charged age where going in for an unwanted kiss could result in some very VERY serious labels and repercussions.
Ralathar Renares The majority of people don’t actually play those mind games (drop hints and “get angry” if you don’t “get them”), though. We haven’t had to since the 50s, when it was deemed slutty/inappropriate for women to express any interest in men (see: Baby It’s Cold Outside). People just claim we do that in order to justify the “no doesn’t mean no, it means try harder” mindset exemplified in this movie.

I honestly think that her reaction to the killer ancestor is definitely extreme. This guy died way before her parents were born, how much can have it affect her?!
You would think that but unlike white people POC care about their ancestors and where they came from. We all have literal holidays dedicated to it (Dia de Los Muertos, Chuseok, Pitru Paksha, Qingming Joe). Plus the character herself is really into such things which he noted on their first date/outting. So, no, it's not something she as a Latina and one as into family history and genealogy as she was would take lightly. Which, of course, she mentions when criticizing him
@배경미 dude, I am Italian. We celebrate our dead as well. We have a tradition where children find gifts "left" for them by their deceased beloved one the night of Halloween . But people have an emotional connection with our grandparents, not to someone who lived 200 years ago and did not affect us in the slightest. That's something Americans seem to be obsessed with... but crying? Is it some kind of trauma for her that 200 years ago her gran-gran-gran-gran-gran uncle made a massacre? It affects her just as much as it would affect her to think of a beloved uncle who passed away years before? Me, I am mad at my grandad, who passed away way before I was born because I don't think he treated his family right, but it affects me because I love the people he wronged
@@GyeongmiBaeb ... I guess it IS a Latin culture thing. I'm a white descendant of John D. Lee, one of the central conspirators in the Mountain Meadows Massacre. I abhor what he did, but seeing his name in a register wouldn't trigger me like that.
The ONLY thing I like about this movie is that it's legit fun and reminds me of more civilized time when men-women relationships were treated as cuddly and warm and not as a sin against something. We took leaps back in that regard.
@@Vapouriste There may be some bits you could call sexist (a man claims to have figured out women, for God's sake) but that's not the point of the movie, the point is the opposite: the unpredictability of relations. Today this movie would have been butchered on Twitter for years and it's shameful to us, because this is just a bloody comedy, not the Holy Bible.
He meant like the Sistine Chapel he would be his greatest work of art. Truth be told he doesn't get enough credit. He didn't lay down, that would take too long. He painted the entire chapel leaning backwards at a 45 degree angle and free-handed the entire ceiling start to finish. It was literally a back breaking, physically exhausting and near impossible feat that he accomplished on his own and changed a bland ordinary ceiling into one of the wonders of the world. This is what he means. It's going to be a back breaking, demanding job, but after the blood, sweat, tears, and suffering he'll have an astonishing masterpiece to unveil to the world.
Hitch is about a game advisor who saw a particular pattern in attracting women and developed a set of rules to put insecure men in a successful position. This is all to lead them to a relationship. He later figures out through experience that approaching relationships this way is not fool-proof and is flawed

He's not claiming he's going to completely "remodel" him or anything (certainly not build from scratch like the rant states would be a "better" analogy) but simply enhance what's there already.
@CinemaSins we need more classic movies

For loving this movie you get extra 10 sins...DING
1,000 sins for you for not taking a few sins off for him kicking her in the head. That was AWESOME!!!!!
DING!
hes an sjw
Food allergies. Can be developed pretty much at any point in your life, so its actually possible for Hitch to not know about a new allergy until he eats said thing he's allergic to.
I spent my whole life eating shrimp, my favorite seafood. Around age 24, I order food with shrimp in it, and my mouth swelled up on me out of the blue. Doctor says I'm now allergic to shrimp, not all shellfish for some reason, just shrimp... -_-
Man your sarcasm is off the charts. I freakkin love it. 🤣🤣
30 sins? THANK GOODNESS! I knew you wouldn’t let this movie run free without a hitch! (Pun is too easy to make)
The whole point of the movie is that Will Smith’s character isn’t as clued up about women as he might think.
Maybe the montage isn't good then. Because it shows him telling guys that they will get laid on the third date and that screams womanizer!
I have been binge watching cinema sins because I adore these videos. This video is the funniest I've seen in awhile. Jeremy sound actually angry and it's hilarious. Love y'all

I like this movie because it reminds me of a time when Will Smiths face being super imposed on a blue CGI genie wasn't even a concept in my mind.
I find it hilarious that Jeremy, of all people, is trying to call out sexism in a movie.
@M&M Watch any of his Avengers videos. He always either down plays Black Widow's skills or makes a "joke" referring to her in a sexual manner.
It’s all about the virtue signaling.

They doddle definitely
A lot of pepople I know still ise mind games.
"Guess i wont be needing this anymore"...LMFAO!!!

That Porzingis line still hurts bro 😢 lol

I love this movie. Who else?
Miss Marvel this movie was amazing 😄
The ONLY thing I like about this movie is that it's legit fun and reminds me of more civilized time when men-women relationships were treated as cuddly and warm and not as a sin against something. We took leaps back in that regard.
@@jokestar2577 Yeah, I mean all the blatant examples of sexism in this movie are signs that everything was better back then.
@@jokestar2577 it would have been torn to pieces because a lot of people are fed up with stereotypical portrayals of men-women relations.
8:44 oh he was practicing for the Oscars here lol
I was most offended by how Hitch refused to reduce "8 out of 10" to "4 out of 5." For fuck's sake, he went to college.
I've giving you 3 sins for attempting to rap. hahahaha
Normally I'd be upset that Jeremy was so harsh on a movie I love, but I see how he was just using this to jump start his rap career
Hitch is about a game advisor who saw a particular pattern in attracting women and developed a set of rules to put insecure men in a successful position. This is all to lead them to a relationship. He later figures out through experience that approaching relationships this way is not fool-proof and is flawed
Yes she wrote the article in that magazine but she was being told about her being at the club and was just being shown a picture of who they were talking about.
I’ve watched a lot of sins videos for movies that I love, but I think this was the first one to actually piss me off. WAY too many personal-opinion-sins.. idk how to even describe it. But it felt like there were zero jokes, just a grumpy guy complaining about every detail of the movie.
Welcome to the club.
Now rewatch a few old ones.
Your comment is exactly what I feel about your comment. The only problem this video had was that the movie is too shitty to endure for a longer sins video.
But it was sexist and he literally didn't build the men's confidence at all. They look terrified on every date. Literally when they stop having rules to follow there going to fall apart. it's completely unsustainable. And the premise is like all of these simple rules will work on every woman ever.
AHPC1 completely agree. Some of the things he complained about were explained in the movie.
