Base Tip: If you use the water fountain area next to your home, you can get the blocks that are already down to concrete really quick and use the fountain as a base point to make it sort of like a concrete above ground bunker. You still be making the base yourself but you'll have a good base/foundation to start on. Also there are half blocks on top of the blocks near the water fountain.
Even though I miss Cabin in the woods and all the other series that have ended in the past. I love that Glock has ideas to keep his videos interesting and fun to watch given the scenerios he came up with. Loving the videos Glock keep it up :)
You can turn 'wooden frames' in the shapes with R and make 'wooden plates' that are already upgraded to wood, but cannot be picked up, that way you lose less wood and time to seal gaps in houses you want to reinforce a bit.
Since the zombies will outrun you no matter what, have you considered to go for a stealth build at least for the day time? It's really fun to be able to chain kill sleeping zombies :D
Problem with that is you'll never one shot kill on nightmare difficulty (except maybe on basic zombies with god tier crossbow and steel bolts, and by the time you get that not so many basics around)
This has promise to be my favorite series. Horde every night takes away from the looting and exploring IMO. With nightmare speed and your commentary, this has to be a winning combination. Looking forward to the next episode.
I believe going into 'light armour' is a necessity as you will be avoiding zombies and trying to run away and thats what light armour is for. Looking forward to where this series goes!
If you go with the same building style as the last building, don’t set bars at the top of the stairs because you are wasting damage that could be applied to the zombie behind the one you are shooting. Instead put the bars about 4 or 5 back from the top step of the stairs so your ammo is more efficient.
Great series, fun intro too, well done Glock. I prefer any series that is NOT horde every night, simply because so much time in every episode is roughly identical. This gives us the opportunity to explore and experience new situations, and as a whole, the exploration is far more fun than just bashing/shooting hundreds of horde. The anticipation up to horde night is better, similar to foreplay, lmao. ;)
Ah the return of the patented G9 Frame Trick. Already diggin the new series. Glad that you're taking precaution to have it last longer than a few days.
This is the start to an awesome series, I can feel it! I do have one suggestion. With how slowly you have to go through POI's and how long it takes to kill zombies, maybe think about increasing your daylight time? 60 minutes is standard but 90 might be more suited to this kind of insanity
George A. Romero is the master of Zombie films, you sir are the master of 7 Days to Die videos, love the content and can't wait for more videos of this series to come :)
Glad to see you’re challenging yourself...when your on edge of life and death all the time it makes it exciting. Also happy to see you build for a change
On a series like this you should be able to give yourself restarts until the first horde then convert to perma death. That or start with normal settings and raise the difficulty by 1 every day until maxed.
for the base. might I suggest a Wipeout-esq obstacle course, with you in an elevated bunker at the end. set some blade traps, a sledge turret, some wedge pieces that they'll slip off of. and easy access up. maybe even literal stairs. some barb wire near where you're at so you have plenty of shooting time. good stuff like that.
Thanks for doing this series, it's really enjoyable to watch! Love playing along with you and applying the concepts that you teach in your video to my own game! I had been playing on Insane previously, but I just restarted with all of your nightmare settings as well so wish me luck! I mostly enjoy watching your videos due to your sense of humour as well as your in-game knowledge! For example, I wasn't aware that it's better to harvest concrete with a shovel! Your videos are very well structured and informative and also just downright hilarious. Thank you for all you do! I hope that you see this comment!
I can recommend if you want a simple and quite compact built base: a base with a 5x5 Interior.. and this can fit (If you dig down or place the Landclaim underground, in the floor or in the roof): 10 Storage Boxes (Never managed to fill a single one personally xD) 1 Campfire 1 Forge 1 Chemical Station 1 Workbench 1 Cement Mixer 1 Bedroll Larger builds can expand, but I like a 5x5 or 7x7 interior, with a 7x7 you can fit 2 Forges and 2 Campfires, instead of just 1 xD Even larger if one wants to build, can fit multiple :P
Glad to see you’ve reached your 250,000 Goal. I’ve been subbed for a while and can say without a doubt you deserve every single one you got and get. You are THE best TH-camr I subscribe to, Myself and obviously hundreds of thousands of people appreciate the time you take creating your content. Keep up the great work man. 👍
I’m excited for this! I was just curious if you’d ever do an “infinite” series? Where no matter how much you die, you have to explore the entire map and get all weapons, armor, books, etc.. I doubt I’m the only one who’d appreciate it! You’re my favorite game youtuber.
This looks like a promising series, looking forward to it. BTW the roof on that shed at the coal mine is just cloth. Easy to break through and hop over, no worries about zombies following you in.
Hey Glock you would get more xp by selling the schematics instead of reading them twice or more. You get an equal amount of coin and xp. The schrmatics sells for 100 coins so you"ll get 100 xp aswell
Sniper rifles, stealth play, and debilitating leg shots are going to be so much more impactful in this series. I think with more time before hoard nights and playing this, this series will be a VERY refreshing change from not only your typical style of gameplay but just generally on TH-cam as well. Super looking forward to this my dude!
I'm excited for this series. Certainly going to be a nailbiter! The cheerleader and nurse scared the beejeebees outta me! My daughter looked at me crazy when I screamed both times. 😂🤣
lmao his will be good. also couple things. that college jacket you got, increases run speed by 10%, not enough to outrun them, at least wearing armour, but every bit helps. and then being out at night doesnt really matter cuz theyre just as fast as in the day.
I must say I was rather amused by the home selection, not because it's bad or anything but because it's one I've used twice in previous playthroughs of my own. Personally I was in the upstairs bedroom though rather than downstairs, zombies have a habit of pummelling through the downstairs front door to get through the back. Also, a minor suggestion for early on, use the bone knife for a bit of bleed damage, just a quick stab at the beginning before smacking things can help stack some extra damage to them. Good luck on this series, get the feeling you may end up needing it.
Bad ass already! That house is one of my favorite POIs. You should carry spikes with you when fighting them too. Throw wood spikes down as they charge you. Helps a ton!

One thing that annoys me about this game is how "more difficult" always just means "zombies have more hp and damage". Never: "food is rarer", "water is heavily limited", "no recipes can be found", "50% less loot", "orange and red injuries have double the effect", "traders only pay you 30%", "no vending machines" or "increased zombie spawns near the player while in a POI at night" (which would be the: build your own home in the woods option). All those could make the game harder and people could just mix and match what they're most interested in.
TFP have always been dumb dumb when it comes to innovating the game. I've made comments way back in the day saying Sliders in the Map creation would be awesome to make zombies more or less aggressive, make them randomly run, more diverse, faster slower smarter or dumber ( Walking dead Force of nature approch or WWZ wall climbing speedster zombie approch) and all sorts of other ideas with ideas like yours included and they just took away the progressive leveling system went with a RPG approch and now they start talking about Set items like a diablo game drones they make STR tree op asf but make the other skill trees lackluster asf . they either take books out or put them back in each patch and so many other retarded décisions . They should make polls for the community to give them advice rather than going the magicians hat approch ... i feel ya mate ^^
On nightmare insane difficulty, I usually carry some rocks on the toolbelt. You can throw them to lure zombies to a specific location, I often use it to encourage battles with local wildlife too.

To make "nightmare + insane" runs a bit easier on you, have you ever thought of starting a "job themed" run? Like "the mechanic", where you start with a moped and all mechanic tiers unlocked. Or the "mad scientist" where you could start with a stack of medical bandages, a stack of first aid kits, 2 pieces of antibiotics, and medical skills on 5. Or the prepper, where you start in a bunker with 5 random stacks of prepared food and drinks and a fireram of max tear 3 and a stack of correspondig ammo. Or an even easier version of the prepper, where you start with the afore mentioned stuff and a jeep. Or any other "job themed" run you could think of.

I was about to comment that hahaha
@@vlatko2510 Glock knows I’m basically a legend in his comment section. Ain’t that right big daddy? ;)

No joke!
Y'all just be glad you didn't have the nurse at my experimental back procedure. 👿 That bitch scarred me for life.
Got to watch out for the sexy nurse she is a femme fatale.
There is no running away here, only "Tactical Retreats"
@Ryan they can still be outrun with the Mega Crush so once you find it, it becomes quite easier...
Mongol Tactics.
There is no retreat. "We're just advancing in a different direction."
No no it guerilla warfare it's all planned

Watching your videos made me buy this game and I won't lie. There is no content creator like you who can make me watch every episode of a series.
Promising series. My favorite part in every survival game is always this sort of tough beginning. Looking forward to seeing more.
From the intro I can already tell this is going to be amazing!
My thoughts exactly!

LOL love the intro, your insane. Has something to do with the water in Jersey. I know I lived there 18 years. GTFO before it's too late.

Love the opening music, but this series is going to give me a lot of anxiety....
That was one of the first houses I ever raided. When you were about to jump into the room, I was like "Yes. Get spooked."
Don't forget you need two layers of blocks to make sure the zombies don't detect heat in your house.
wow really? will 2 layers stop them from attacking my house when forges are on?
Is that true?
that's not true heat increases in zones regardless of poi sizes hand made or not . the Map is divided into " Cell zones" like A1 B3 C7 etc... so when you shoot make noise kill or do any kind of crafting building or using light sources increases heat in the entier cell zone .
The Dump N Lung has a hidden stash at the top if you climb the steep slope by the metal hut where you access the underground mine area.
One thing that annoys me about this game is how "more difficult" always just means "zombies have more hp and damage".
