Hi Yammie Noob, I'm one of your first few subscribers because that time I'm dreaming for my first bike. I just got my motorcycle but it's a automatic city scooter only because I don't have enough money because of the Covid-19.
A decent helmet here cost a 95 USD, I don't have enough cash right now. I would really appreciate it and love it to receive a helmet or 90 usd from my motorcycle inspiration.
Edit: My scooter is "Honda Click 150i 2020 model, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic".

I wish they would just be honest and admit it: they don't like Honda and can't review them unbiasedly. You pay extra for a Honda for two main big reasons and sure, that first one is looks, but that second even bigger reason is that they make the most reliable bikes, which means you're gonna be riding a hell of a lot longer. That's worth a little more money.

The thing about reliability and perfection is that I actually think it gives the bike character, not the other way around. There's a sort of discipline and pride in a brand when it can say it's "built strong." You can have all the nice designs, all the bells and whistles, all the rah rah and excitement, all the tricks, but I'll always beat you in good old fashioned reliability. It's more centered and true.
I kinda disagree with the video because I see its criteria for being boring or exciting as completely opposite. And I've never owned a Honda. 🤷
In fact, I own a Yamaha and I also own a Ducati. So no bias there.

1- comparing Italian bikes vs Honda lika that didnt make much sense i get it was just an intro but like, youl spend more than twice in maintenance in the italian and still have less reliability...
2 - even more comparison between honda and other notorious unreliable brands that someone who thinks of buying a honda would not rly consider, the real thing is honda vs the other 3 japanese giants, it makes sense and it would truly show why honda is lacking, theyre not lacking bcuzz they arent making ''exciting'' money pits of a bike like ducati and mv, its bcuzz in relation to kawasaki and yamaha they do not have enough distinction, and playing against ducati is very different, bcuzz they need 3 or 4 times more maintenance, theyre cool but theyre not playing the same game.
It was a pretty pointless video, a rare one, but still, you ended up with realistically pointing out only 1 realistic mistake by honda, the CB650 and even that bike i consider 1 of the only cool nikes bcuzz it offers a begginer 4cilinder option to the 650 lineup instead of the more common 2 banger, this wasnt satire, it was a mess. Thanks for summarizing. Still questionable pricing on the CB650 though when you can get the MT09 and Z900 for cheaper for much less. And SV650 and MT07 which is top of the 650 class makes way more sense price to power ratio if you do want to go “beginner” route. Honda’s focus is horrible even if we’re not comparing to euro bikes, they are boring compared to competition of other Japanese bikes and it doesn’t make sense to buy a Honda at least new. I personally like buying new. Yeah people gonna say I’ll lose money but if anything new I’m avoiding Honda. Even they can’t get a good TFT display for their 650 is ridiculous

Nice bikes, but too expensive for what they offer, which is: extremely expensive maintenance schedule, and unreliability 3 times over the 'worst' japanese brand. Great video, I am a huge Honda fan, and you have good points. Especially when you say that perfection can be boring. It’s true. I think Honda really tries to aim models at specific demographics. The NC line up is specifically aimed at commuters, 70 mpg and built in storage for your helmet so you don’t have to bring it in with you everywhere you go. It’s a huge seller in Europe.
I actually bought a 18 NC750x dct to replace my 94 CB 1000. I’m not disappointed at all. Honestly, I thought I’d miss the standard transmission a bit. After a year of riding it I can say that I don’t miss it at all. Although shifting manually had always been second nature to me, I was amazed at how much more attention I have left to watch out for other vehicles on the road. With Honda’s DCT, you can absolutely still shift gears at will if you want. Sometimes I down shift it for quick stops even while in drive or sport mode. Another small mention, being able to just “twist and go” without worrying about stalling, when at a traffic light, and idiot driver is about to rear end you, is priceless.
That being said, I think you’re right about learning to ride on a manual clutch, because there are so many cool bikes out there that starting on a DCT, or a CVT severely limits your choices moving forward. Ten years ago I would never have dreamed I’d own any sort of bike without a clutch. Amazing how Age and experience changes the things that you value.

Also apart from ‘boring’ dual clutch transmission, Honda were also first to introduce combined ABS (I think) and the NC series features some other smart engine features like pumping the water pump with the camshaft to reduce moving parts - making it super economical so yeah, that makes me excited. The CBRs, CBs, and Africa Twin aren't boring. The rest of the bikes are for grownups who value reliability, quality, or function. Also, Groms are awesome. Stupid video.

Dude in the 650 class you compare a twin motor with a inline 4, conventional forks vs upside bipiston showa forks and conventional brakes vs radial monted brakes. Should I add that the CB is the only one with tractio control, or maybe the full led lights? This is how you comparing things in US? :)))

I actually love my CBR600rr. I own a 2011 that I’ve had since 2012, and I had a 2007 that was about as great of a track day bike as I could ask for. Sure they’re down on power compared to an R6 or a ZX6r, but I was always felt quicker in the corners on it than I did on other bikes I tried. I also noticed that my CBR was kind to rear tires and rarely had mechanical issues with them. Sure, it’s dated and arguably boring, but I sure do love it.

Hey Spite. I think Honda's styling department also doesnt seem to be interested in making them real attractive....i mean...they all just have the generic lines n curves as per the category. Nothing super cool or anything.
    What do you think?

that wouldve been a way better topic of discussion, they indeed have a very uninteristing style nowadays...

In the past couple of years I've owned a new cb650r and a new africa twin. Both bikes seemed to have fueling problems. Cb650r fell completely flat at 5500rpm and came back to life around 7000 or 8000. The africa twin flamed out across a 4 way stop on me once, occasionally misfired shortly after starting which sounded like spark knock, and sometimes would stumble and misfire when riding aggressively in the twisties. I rode the AT nearly coast to coast and back in the US and it's plenty reliable but I just couldn't get over the quirks. I'm gonna catch flak for this but my road glide has been absolutely perfect and I'm in love with anything housing suzuki's k5 engine.

I’ve own a Cbr 125 and a Cbr 600f1. And then owned an R6 and recently an R1. The R1 is a beast. The bike does power wheelies on the first few gears like he said. Crazy beast to tame.

@@bil5479 you can pop wheelies in 4th gear on an R1 and top speed of 325kph. What’s top speed on your 400 dirt bike? Can you pull a power wheelie doing 200Kph?

@@TheFlatEarthChannelcom nah, but i can fly through the air on a fuken motorcycle so i'd rather do that than lil wheelies that arn't even difficult

@@bil5479I’m not trying to say I want to do that. I prefer not to is my point. 1000cc is too much for the city roads. That’s my point.

No bike is boring, however if you bought a CBR...I can see how it may be misleading as a "sport bike" Honda did nothing wrong, it's a great bike and obviously very popular in other parts of the world.

Uuuuh, my Honda is so boring. I never have to work on it so my tools are useless, I never get cramps or uncomfortable so I’m stuck ridding aaaaaall day, and I never have to worry about it breaking down or being unpredictable! Where is the excitement of never knowing?!
