Content like this one, and comments from Neil Gaiman about libraries and librarians, make me proud to be a librarian. Magnificent video, Dior and Natalie!
Good. And a Star Wars quote to tip it off: "A theory I have - nothing more. Murder, Dooku committed. Then, from the Jedi archives erased Kamino, he did. Of that tampering, proof Master Jocasta Nu found - proof of Dooku’s action, though well concealed it was." - Yoda
I love the persona that Dior targets: intelligent, sophisticated, and alluring. It defines the graceful and independent femininity of our time, and Natalie Portman embodies it perfectly. Also how many ads are there where women shown in the library ? Everything is harmonious and on point.
My favorite actress - intelligent, empathetic, stunningly beautiful, humble, just brilliant. I send lots of love to you, Natalie, from Poland, from another Natalie (I have the same name😃) who also loves to read!! Btw, Natalie's great-grandparents and grandfather from her father's side were Polish Jews from Poland, and her great-grandparents from her mother's side were from Poland as well, but when they were born, it was Poland occupied by Russia, the event called the partitions of Poland ❤❤
If Poland was occupied by Russia means America was occupied by Britain. Africa was occupied by Netherlands and Germany and France. So see no problem with such historical developments. But British, french, germans, Dutch actually migrated to the countries they occupied at the time and lived there in privileged condition (and many still do). Instead - Russians never migrated to Poland and never lived there. So, be smart, make right wording and comparison
@@lightblueandyellow3566 I'm answering you from my second account because, for some reason, I can't do it using my first. stop teaching me about my own country's history, you know nothing about the history of that region, clearly. Occupation is when one country attacks another and takes their territory illegally. Which Russia did. I'm talking about the period called the Partitions of Poland, and it was literally Russia, Prussia, and Austria dismantling Poland and occupying it. It was occupation. And Russians did live there, in Poland, en masse. Russians started to live everywhere in Poland after Russia illegally annexed these territories, so go back to school or stop talking about things you know ZERO about! There was also only the Russian government and officials governing Poland after that, in Polish cities, including Warsaw! Generations of my patriotic family, like all Polish families, have been fighting Russian aggression for centuries, and ended up in Siberia camps for doing so! Russia has been the aggressor country for centuries, read about how many nations and tribes they violently attacked, and occupy to this day, this is why they have such a huge territory in the first place! Unless your sources are Russian and Russian 'history' books which are full of lies and Stalinist propaganda. We have been through this in Poland too, when Russia forced communism on us when they started occupying us again after WWII.
An incredibly beautiful library, a super pretty tote bag, and then Natalie just being herself and charming me off my feet, plus a lot of interesting book recommendations... The best almost 5 minutes of the day. Thank you, Dior!
Most of her book choices are highly intellectual books. To think- she's a harvard graduate and vegan- she's a woman not just of grace on red carpets; but also, a woman of wit and substance.
LOVE💖 how fashion and the knowledge we can learn through books are combined in this wonderful episode of Book Tote Club. Natalie Portman is the perfect ambassador, I was intrigued by the books she recommended ✨
Thanks Natalie, for showing how we connect and learn from each other's experiences, transcending boundaries of time, culture, and distance through books. Completely charmed
Natalie Portman is so relatable and nice. It is always a pleasure to see her. Thank you for making this clip! She is a very smart person - so I would like to hear more about what she has read/ what she is reading. :)
This is great! I love her. I met her outside the library in LA. I was walking my dog and she gave her a pat. She was beautiful and very gracious. She practices what she preaches. Love you Matilda!
the list: When we cease to understand the world - Benjamin Labatut Neopolitan Novels - Elena Gerrawte Hope in the dark - Rebecca Selnit 'Chimères Américaines - Todd Haynes My Brilliant Friend - Elena Ferrante.
Wonderful libraries, large and small, are some of my favorite places in the world. What a charming idea for a video. I'll have to look into some of these suggestions. 📚 🛍️ Thanks for sharing!
is the book tote comfortable to wear? i always feel the straps are too short to be worn on the shoulder and feels awkward wearing on the shoulder as it might be too bulky

Will these problems occur if these bags are used daily? I just purchased a metis clutch in monogrammed canvas from the Kusama collection. I love the colorful polka dots and hope they don’t melt on me, haha. But I don't think it will be in my regular rotation. I also have a NoeNoe in the DA but only use it a few times a year in the spring and summer so I don't put much wear and tear on it. I hope I don't see wear and tear for a while. Plus, I'm saving up *condup* . Have any of your colleagues experienced the same problem with this size? I don't mind the shape being a little more relaxed, but I also don't want it to turn into a puddle. Thanks for the video!
She's such an old mom. Never thought I'd ever see Nathalie Portman this way, but here we are. She's almost more beautiful, and has grown an elegance and grace. Maybe it was the ballet. Far cry from rapping with Fallon on SNL.
Natalie is just amazing! Not only beautiful, but intelligent and down to Earth. Love her!
I would doubt she’s read these and they were selection edited for her for this commercial.
@hungrydrago no
She's overrated imo
Please do more of these. One of the greatest interactions between humans is sharing books.
Beautifully said! There's deep connection when we find out we've read the same books
I live in a mid-sized city and someone asks me how I am doing *condup* all the time. It's not annoying but I'm always surprised when they ask
@davidbucci1973 Agreed! Well said and well put!

As a reader, I love this segment how many people get to inform and recommend amazing books I never heard of!
Chanel has been doing it for quite sometime with Charlotte Casiraghi
I agree 📚 ❤

She is so beautiful inside and out, and what a gorgeous library. As ab avid reader, they are such a safe place.
She’s aging

To have both the opportunity to be in a beautiful bookstore and/or library and to own the Dior bag is a DREAM…
