    Thanks for watching! How old is your puppy? When was the last time they had a potty accident? 😅

    Tobi is 5 months……. Had an accident at 5am! Put out to go potty as he was crying in crate. After majority in crate, I wipe and let him up on bed. Crying to get down- I say ok. He wanders, I realize I don’t hear him and go looking. Pooped in hallway….. chewed up “business”…… going to get back to basics today!! I believe we haven’t had a single accident free day in 3 months and I’m exhausted

      You sound like me. I have a 4 month old mini dachshund. I got back to taking her out every hour and that’s not even enough. She still goes in between those hourly potty breaks

    I have a Yorkshire terrier. I got him 12 days ago and I have not been able to get him to go outside yet. I have tried everything! We run him outside but he hates the grass and the pavement. He is afraid of his shadow! I took him to my son's house to get their dog to show him and he was great with my Reggie but my dog held his bladder til he came inside! That was three hours! Super stubborn, we tried at our house with him too! I take him out every hour. He can sleep in his kennel cage 6 hours and hold it.

      It sounds like he lacks some confidence. The outside is filled with new sights and sounds and lots of smells! You might try exposing him to the outside world in a more gradual way. Start with doing some fun activities that he loves with the window open. Then do more fun things close to the door with the door open. Make sure these are positive experiences for them to be beneficial. You might just have to take this in tiny baby steps for him to be comfortable. This video might help you! th-cam.com/video/mgPViZGH3sY/w-d-xo.html

    Lucy is a 9 month old Mini Aussie. She was doing so well and even using buttons to tell me when she had to potty. Then, at 6 months, she was spayed. A few weeks after that, the regression started. Not just that, but she quit using her buttons and, she became more aggressive. Now, I take her outside and sometimes she just doesn’t go, or gets distracted, and then potty’s right after we come inside. And we are outside or walking for quite awhile. She also started Resource guarding… not the usual things like her food or toys, but if she gets something she isn’t supposed to have. And, she Resource guards other dogs or humans to keep her 5 year old Shiba brother from getting to her ‘friend’. She’s sweet as anything, but a mess 😂. On top of it I have a medical condition which is really interfering with training.. Having surgery next week so things should be better soon.
    Enjoyed the video.

      Hang in there. It sounds like you may need to take a few steps back in your training and that's okay! It's important to go at your puppy's pace and don't rush things. It sounds like you may need some help from our trainers to dig into this a little deeper too! Check out our online course, 30 Days to Puppy Perfection, specifically the PRO level. www.howtotrainadreamdog.com/puppy-perfection-course-learn-more/

    My puppy peed on the rug as I was watching this video. 😩 Doh!
    We just moved and are going through an understandable regression. Thanks for the tips. We’ll definitely put them to use!

    mine was potty trained till 4 months then he woke up one day and stopped caring he poops an pees wherever he feels like it. I had to just keep him in his puppy pen inside or on a house leash. It makes me sad and frustrated, i wish he could just join in the family and be trusted in the house. I had to go out and buy a rug shampooer. I had the vet check him out, hes fine she said. I keep to the schedule out every hour, several walks, play and training sessions.

    My golden retriever puppy is 4.5 month and has been making improvements with going outside with feeler trips. However the last two days … frequent urine/poop accidents and now she is going on my leather couch. My wife has had it and it needs to improve soon. Urgh!

    My girl is two and she was potty trained now she has taken to pooping in the house. She will sneak into an area I am not in and poop. She could have been outside for one or two hours and she comes in and poops in the house. What to do?

    Our 6 month dog has been trained on potty pads. Transitioning her to outside is HARD! ANY IDEAS????

    • @HowToTrainADreamDog
      @HowToTrainADreamDog  ปีที่แล้ว

      We do not recommend using potty pads for training as this encourages potty indoors and will make it much more difficult for the transition. Check out this video for tips on how to stop using potty pads: th-cam.com/video/TaUV1q5RZD8/w-d-xo.html

      It sounds like your pup may be frightened by his or her environment. Have you checked around for distractions and moved to a less stressful area to potty?
