Yeah he ain’t really saying nothing out of this world. Brake specific fuel consumption, calculating fuel systems, liters per hour based on engine size, amperage, yada yada 😅 duty cycle. This is plain English. Plenty of old books on this stuff & built in calculators on every fuel injector & fuel pump manufacturers website
@@TheLlamasThrust the purpose of this was to have a general high level discussion about fuel systems that the general public could understand and not just fluid dynamic engineers.. thanks for watching though.. If this was general knowledge as you say so many projects wouldn't be plagued by fueling issues... and there's more than just calcultors at play when designing a fuel system for a motorsport application.
You were giving out decent info until you started talking bout injectors. ALL injectors have stainless steel internals, ID just used the terminology to market their injectors as “ethanol compatible” now everyone thinks that’s what sets them apart. The irony in you talking about echo chamber and mentioning surface level info like that is peak internet.
@@Wasdfg603he did say he believes, not he was 100% sure on injectors, you could correct him and not make it seem like he tried to spread misinformation on purpose lol
At 13.5v 7.5A 40psi the BKS1001 runs 550lph~. So the controller ups the pump's watt draw up to 3x when certain criteria are met? Will it be MAP/Throttle based? How fast does it make adjustments? Please don't tell me the controller alone is $2.5k 🥲
@@Wasdfg603 @Wasdfg603 actually there is no "their" - all ID injectors are Bosch Motorsport developed injectors: ID simply have the rights over some of the injectors such as the 2600cc. Finally someone telling the facts about actual Tuning and how to build a car properly. Most cats driving fast time bombs!! You can't just up amp on a fuse to fuel system.... You feeding more current through that wire harness! That heat goes somewhere!
I learned a bit on fueling thanks to buddy. I’m a novice tuner, well tuning for 1.5yr now and I stay learning. This opened a whole new chapter for me. Thanks ABP
Noted on turning down my fuel pressure. Oem fuel pressure for my acura is 58 psi. I set my regulator at that same pressure. But now with 20psi of boost, my final pressure be at 78. My injectors are loving it but my pump (hell at 525) be drawing a bunch of amperage. Thought about lowering it but idk how that'll affect atomization specially with my big 1300cc injectors while cruising

57:49 we also use Bosch Motorsport injectors, and it is problem with every injector.. if you have engine with 300-500cc cylinder volume, and you run 800-1500cc injector per cylinder, you cant run at Lambda 1 at idle and pass emission test (Co2 and NOx) which are quite strict in most of the Europe for street cars. Most injectors has minimum Pulse width where they are linear, and after that, they are around 15-40% off, and that off percentage cant be characterized, its just this 10sec +30% in flow, and other 20sec -38% in flow, lets say at 1,20ms PW
25:10 YES YES YES YES YES YES. God, when will people learn this...brushless and a rear tank is the way to go on the street - even well beyond 1200hp these days.
definitely a big market for the MKV Supra which I assume would also work with the G42 and the M340i with a slightly bigger tank than the others. The B58 Gen 2 fuel system is probably also similar to the S58 cars m3/m4 with both engines running at 300bar
We are doing a full feature with SAP about the MK5 system...stay tuned.. I will be back in NYC at the shop I June to build and design the master hose kit and wiring harness 😇

Prime example is why you can buy a 400ho car and make 800ho before failures. Cause properly engineered items are under rated but still priced the same As fully rated things..
