- Over the course of a few weeks, I was able to bring this poor little Yamaha R6 back to life after it was left sitting this way wrecked for about 3 years. Thankfully she started right up after some love and care and she is riding awesome now!

Rebuild a massive damaged bike back to be normal again, that's amazing, great work there 👏🏼👏🏼
I love old r6's. Those taillights are the best imo.
You make this look so easy and painless, makes me regret parting out a bike I'd lowsided 😅
Excellent job! I know there was a budget, but I still would of sanding the rust down on the tank, and at least gave it a little bit of paint to keep it from rusting even further. Other than it looks awesome.
Great rebuild! As an R6 owner, I have had mine since new and had a similar rebuild after a wheelie gone wrong. As of this year I'm only at 13k on the miles and it's now an artpiece/show bike after the rebuild. It gets the occasional weekend or ride to work but as an almost 50 year old, nothing gets the blood pumping like riding! Seeing your rebuild just solidifies the need to keep these bikes on the road. Nice work, keep bringing them back to life! My next is another 99 R6 in the red/black scheme.
I really like 1st gen R6s. Specially white and red ones. I'm after one (99) to add to my collection. Amazing looking bikes
u looking for one? i dont know where u are from
Great colour choice..hope you got yours. I love mine.
i'm on furlough in the uk - i've been binge watching your vids - they've kept me sane - cheers
Thanks Gooner! It seems like my videos have been keeping a lot of people sane during these times!
@@RKMotorsports i've watched all yours now and moved onto Benjimineoutdoors - gotta say you're far more professional
than him - he's a bit of a hack
Giving back life to the old chap in 2021 was awesome doing great job with details
Love this rebuild it brings back memories to my first motorcycle been an R6 from the same year
I’m doing all the same stuff as you minus the subframe and back light work. Thank you so much for posting this video it’s extremely helpful.
I have a ‘00 R6. I love this bike best R6 ever made. Runs always and every ride a smile from ear to ear. 😍🥰
I bought the first ever R6 imported into Northern Ireland back in the day Sliver Black and Orange . Fantastic wee bike after riding 250s and 350 two-strokes all my young days
That’s some stunning work - that bike looks sensational!
Peep the 1992 Honda CBR F2 in the background. That was my first motorcycle. I drove from NC to TN to get it back in 1999. It was an eBay purchase💪
Thanks for pointing out the parts and where they go. For a second there I wasn't sure where the tail lights had to go...
Nice job. I like how you cleaned everything, very meticulous and professional.
Thank you for bringing her back to life I remember in 1999 I bought a brand new R6 i wanted blue but didn’t want to wait. So red i got. In the day it was a rocket ship. Fastest bike around. Paid 7800.00 for it memories
I love this bike. I have the exact same bike but the 2002. The best bike I’ve ever own and probably will.
One of TH-cam's best channels

What a wonderful I swear that tears would have flowed from my eyes, as you brought this tank back to life, as if you created it again. I like what I did my best regards to you my friend. I also bought these days yamaha yzf r6 1999, its color is red
He is still in good health, but I do not know how to increase the water in the cooling system and where can I increase it, and can I increase the water without opening the cover
Greetings and thanks to your brother Adel from Morocco

Dude you have done my dream, I got an 2002 Yamaha R6 too, and I want to do the same kind of restoration but pieces are a little bit expensive in my country (Mexico).

Thank you Keith! 🤟😎
Hey Rob - @8:40 I love that tip if the bolt is sticking out far enough... I have at times taken my Dremel and made a little Slit in the bolt to get it out...
I have a 02 I wrecked last year had two do new forks main Frame both rims and tires and fairings but I love the older r6s so I had to rebuild even though it was totaled
Great job! My friend David just finished one over at”Sony Cheeba “ fabrications in East Hartford came out awesome✊🏽🔥
I love big bikes so much.
Outstanding sir. Just wished you could have finished it off with a new tank. Great video.
i am waiting for you to fix a yamha r15 soon.. more power to your channel idol RK! !
Only thing it needs is a new tank! Looks good
I would agree, unfortunately we were trying to keep the build on a budget
your channel is super inspiring. the track at 7:51 slaps so hard 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good job, Rob! Hey, that rhymed! xD I love wrenching, so these videos are so enjoyable. Keep 'em coming!

ive been subbed for a while, i f*cking love these vids. Awesome content, thank you.
I appreciate the support 🤘 I have a couple other rebuilds in the works too!
I love this motorcycle, it reale super bike, fancy you for rebild :)
That's A Great Job! ...Shame the Customer didn't want to bother with the tank though !...
Looks Epic apart from that !😀👍
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback! 🤘
wow very nice
Thanks!
I have the same bike, I did the same thing but with more mechanical work. I spent 2 years. Tuning the carb took the longest when you don't have dyno.
Hope i can have a big bike that ready to use. Even if its old.
Bike nice
with top gun 2 coming out you should do a GPZ900r restoration
I got my 2002 ZX6R in the shop now and it is also carbureted. The carburetor got bad and the tank got bad. It was sitting for almost 10 years.
Those early zx6rs are tanks though, once shes up and running it should last you a long time!
@@RKMotorsports Thanks brother. Its fortunate enough that it doesn't have any physical damage but its gonna cost me some money. Your work on the bikes are dedicated and pro. I gotta subsribe.
I want to buy that bike ,love it
I got a 02 that needs way less work than this one I’ll sell tittles
Hi. Absolutely amazing! 💯
Can you provide details on parts and where u got them. Specifically, headlights assembly, instrument cluster and rear brakelights? Thank you for a great video.
Great looking bike. Its a little shame they didn't want the petrol tank replaced...
I agree, but to just get the bike up and going and to look decent, it turned out good
@@RKMotorsports it did, but how much extra is a tank cover.
Need a customer reaction, and a price overview! Looks good!
ayy this was posted on my bday :) , wish somebody would clean up my bike like you could
Happy birthday!
@@RKMotorsports appreciate it brotha
yes I'm 3rd love yu6 bro
I want this r6 😭
Any idea where to get a single plug CDI...or a 2 plug wire harness for an 02? currently rebuilding one
May I ask how you installed the integrated taillights ? I have a 01 and I’m having trouble getting power and where to plug the blue & yellow wires thanks in advance!
hello, I really like your videos and your good work ... with care ... I would like to know where you buy your fairings for the yamaha R6 and the plastic located under the battery thank you good continuation change nothing
Why didn’t u fix the tank tho? Love ur work btw and i wish if i could get my bike to ur shop i lack instruments and some knowledge 😂😂
I love the vids man but when I see you creating death machines I gotta say something. Use lock tight on the rotor studs and torque moving components to spec . Other then that I watch religiously
Where do you buy the fairings for your motorcycles?
