Love the food experience in Hokkaidō! I miss the little old-style specialty kissaten in Japan where they care about the coffee and food they serve as opposed to the rather boring ubiquitous Starbucks. And Genghis Khan BBQ is just one of the treats you can get in Sapporo. Looking forward to more must-eats from Hokkaidō - seafood (including uni?), Sapporo miso rāmen, butter and milk products, and potatoes!

LOVING that Mongolian AYCE BBQ! If am remembering my Mongolian food history, consisted mainly of lamb, sheep, yak, camel, horse as well as beef. But lamb & sheep was main food of choice. So begins my quest to find Mongolian BBQ in HNL...Enjoy!

Even though I can speak Japanese, there are some things that I didn't understand or couldn't read but being able to speak the language definitely helps A LOT 😅
@@AmandaFelixEats I had trouble reading place names which are words from the Ainu language (like Sapporo) or people who spoke Tōhoku dialects (like taxi drivers) because they are very different from Standard Japanese. It's like someone speaking Pidgin to tourists from the continent or other countries. 🤨
