My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first TH-cam channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

Turtles will be in heaven when they get a basking spot and a big pond, hopefully your new liner works. You might want to give it at least 4-7 days or so just to make sure you don’t have any tiny slow leaks that might not be apparent in just a day or two. I know you are anxious to see it finished but better safe than sorry. Your property is just so gorgeous. Your peaceful morning’s look so beautiful!❤

Wow, Britany is really pretty. What a great way to start the day. Rizal is very busy being busy, LOL. I’m kind of snickering at filling the pond with the garden hose. There’s not really another way to do it but, it’s kinda funny looking.
You have so many on-going projects, I think that’s very cool. Always a new adventure. How cool to see Magnus eat from you like that. And that Billy… he’s so cute! Yea, this is a great way to start the day.
It’s always great to see the Matsuyamas! OMG, I wanna cook with Ro and RJ, that would be so much fun!! I am SO jelly of Mark’s shirt!! If I’m not a member I think I need to spin up my studio… LOL and make my own.
LOL, yep phone books, bottle openers and phonographs are antiques for today’s kids… how old do you feel now? LOL.
WOW, what a size difference between those two turtles. It seems they’re a little shy when they hide under the water lettuce. Donatello doesn’t mind the new pellets, for sure. Turbo seems to have her own schedule.

Hi, I love the big pond the turtles will be living in soon, just make sure the female has a place she can come up to dig and lay eggs in the future. Don't want her egg bound. They like to bask in the sun also, so their shell won't get fungus. What an amazing job you have done to the place already.
That’s what I do too first thing in the morning ( well, except going to the loo, of course 😂) I look at my plants and appreciate them. Wouldn’t it be nice to put colors around err corners of your rooftop by placing a variety of croton plants? and on your side farm a variety of birds of paradise? It would be awesome to see the turtlles in the pond.
The yellow pages SAT book should have came with a jump scare warning. lol
Donatello following Turbo around is pretty much him trying to find out if she's receptive or not, which in this case is that she's not ready to breed yet since courtship behavior's not being displayed which, if Turbo is receptive, will involve Donatello tickling her face with his long claws as per the courtship ritual of the Red-eared Slider. Turbo's ignoring Donatello, so she's not receptive yet to his advances. I think Turbo's size is comparable with my Jill(my red-eared slider's name), although Jill might be older since she has been my pet since 4th grade. Staying on the topic of reptiles, it is a bit of a misnomer of referring to any vaguely lizard-like reptile as a "living dinosaur" since the Squamates(lizards and snakes) are only very very distantly related to dinosaurs, while the crocodiles and modern birds(themselves dinosaurs) along with dinosaurs belong to Archosauria, so they are the ones that are most closely-related to each other. Outside Archosauria, the most closely related to crocodilians are actually the turtles and tortoises, according to rest cladistic studies. I mean, you can kind of see it I guess? Haha since both chelonians ans crocodilians both have scutes on their dorsal side( except soft shell turtles). It's pretty interesting reading up on what animals are related to which animals via their genes, evolutionary history, and cladistics
Ohhhhh!!! 🤩🦎 Yeah, I knew dinos were distantly connected to our modern day reptiles but interesting to know their link to crocodilians! I have considered a dwarf caiman in the pond, as we surely have the space, BUT I would be fearful for our small dogs EVERY DAY (I imagine someone leaving the little gate unlocked and one of our dogs going in) and all the wild night herons we might lose that I KNOW hang out in the forest right behind the Pinoy chalet. 😢

The crocodilians being related to dinosaurs gets even more evident in the Triassic as there are even crocodile relatives that look like dinosaurs as some of them were fully terrestrial and bipedal with some being fully herbivorous.
Yeah it would be a no-go for the dwarf caiman in the pond since they can still take down a small-sized dog despite their relatively smaller size and also the fact that they are nocturnal, so any nocturnal birds that could potentially hang out by the pond at night is potential prey. It would be more safe if the aquatic life that would go into the pond would be any of the fish species that I suggested in the previous vlog as they're large enough not to be preyed on by fish-eating birds and they're not predatory enough to be able to eat said birds.

Hey Mikey love watching all of your videos I'd like to know if you are going to be able to come to animal con this year. Also I'm a I'd like to make a suggestion with your red-eared sliders they're going to want some land that they can also climb on also if you want to breed them they're also going to need some land climb on and bury their eggs just a little suggestion I love you pond.
If your turtles breed, they will need some space for egg-laying. How about giving the turtles access to the patch of grass by the gate of the pond?

I had 3 red sliders from Toronto for 20 years and let them go to a children’s riding / animal farm here in Tampa Florida 12 years ago . Miss them but it’s better for them to be in a large pond ❤

Aside from growing big, green iguanas are also mildly venomous
I'm not that pet's person, especially in the house, but seeing how well feed and well cared the animals are, I enjoy them too, (still except the creepy black/white worm😣) The way you talk to them like your kids is phenomenal 😍
You could use the outdoor aviary ass a iguana enclosure when the birds aren’t using it

Did you use geomembrane liners? These types are used for aquaculture.

Ahh the aldabra tortoise! Yes, once the enclosures on the side lot is done. They can live with the iguanas while small.

Hi Mikey, you need a box of sand for your Turtles in case one of them lay eggs. Turtle lay eggs in the sand to hatch their eggs. It will be wonderful to see them mate and produce baby Turtles. Then, when it happens, you have to release them into the ocean. It's amazing how your farmhouse slowly evolved into a natural place for plants, animals, and insects. A little habitat for your pets. yes Mikey nature is what i grew up with till i came to Toronto in 91... i grew up eating our own plants of okra, talong, sitaw, patani, kamatis lots of them, and all kinda of fruits..except i never had mangoosteen and i cant find them here in Toronto also.. i have been looking i will try loblaws next.. wish me luck coz i really want to know the taste and why you love them so much😋😋😍😍😘😘🥰🥰

@mikey that huge pipe for the water level in the pond... where does the water go? just wondering... cause the hole is so huge and I am kinda worried that the turtle, fishes or tadpoles might get stuck in it... or even leaves and it might clog the pipes... might need to put some mesh at that top end at least?
Yes a fine mesh goes on there. It leads to the filter.
One of my favourite things that I did with my turtle was feed them!
Just a quick glance in the video, but given the colors I saw on that cat in the tree... SHE looked to be a CALICO and as most all CALICO CATS ARE FEMALE - BEWARE! LOL! 😂
